Adobe has extended its leadership in creative ideation with a major expansion of Adobe Firefly – its destination for AI-assisted content ideation, creation, and production – by bringing Firefly's powerful image and video generation tools to phones.
The newly launched Firefly iOS and Android app gives creators the freedom to explore ideas and generate or edit images and videos using AI, anytime and anywhere.
Whether starting from scratch or refining content on the go, creators can now experience Firefly as a standalone mobile or web app, with seamless syncing to Adobe Creative Cloud applications, ensuring uninterrupted project continuity from ideation to production.
Also introduced in this expansion is Firefly Boards, now available in public beta on the web. This AI-first moodboarding surface is transforming how creative teams collaborate on concepts.
With the addition of video capabilities, Firefly Boards allows professionals to explore, edit, and iterate across media types using AI-powered tools in a collaborative environment.

The new partner models are initially launching in Firefly Boards and will soon become accessible across the Firefly app, giving creators unprecedented flexibility to work with diverse aesthetic styles and media formats.
The goal is to offer creators a comprehensive, AI-powered toolkit — on mobile and web — that supports everything from early ideation to final production.
And for those wondering about transparency in AI-generated content – Adobe continues to embed Content Credentials into every asset, clearly identifying which models and tools were used.
It's a move toward trust and accountability in an increasingly AI-driven creative world.
Since its launch, Firefly has generated more than 24 billion assets, and interest continues to climb. Adobe has seen traffic and paid subscriptions to Firefly rise by 30 per cent quarter over quarter, signalling a growing appetite for AI-powered tools that still prioritise creative control.

Del Monte Foods Files for Bankruptcy

Yup, you read that right— Del Monte Foods' U.S. division just filed for bankruptcy. The company behind your favorite canned fruits, kitchen staples, and fruit cups (yes, that Del Monte) is in serious financial trouble. The American unit of Del Monte Pacific Ltd. (a Philippines-based parent company) is now under Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection and working on a deal to sell off most, if not all, of its assets to pay off debts and hopefully bounce back stronger. A Sale to Save the Brand Del Monte Foods (the U.S. arm) has signed an agreement with its lenders to start a court-supervised sale process, meaning it'll put the business (or big chunks of it) up for sale to raise cash. The CEO, Greg Longstreet, says this is a "strategic move" to turn the company around and hopefully set it up for future success. For now, the company secured $912.5 million in financing to keep the lights on and operations running during the sale. That includes $165 million in new funding to help them through this rough patch. What's Next for Del Monte Foods? The U.S. operations will continue for now, meaning your favorite products like Contadina, S&W, College Inn, and JOYBA won't disappear overnight. The company plans to find new ownership and clean up its financial mess. This move doesn't affect Del Monte Pacific's operations in other countries, like the Philippines or other parts of Asia. Longstreet assured fans that even with these challenges, Del Monte's mission to provide nutritious and tasty food is still alive —they've been doing it for 140 years and are hoping to keep going.

South Africa: Location Bank announces groundbreaking white paper, the AI disruption

Location Bank, a leader in multi-location brand management, has released a new white paper: The AI Disruption: Why search ads are losing ground and how local presence wins in the age of AI. The white paper explores how AI is transforming consumer search behaviour, reducing the impact of traditional search ads, and highlighting the growing importance of strong local digital presence. The white paper highlights how the rise of AI-powered search engines, voice assistants, and generative search experiences (like Google's SGE) is diminishing the dominance of paid search ads. These AI systems increasingly favor accurate, structured, and highly relevant local content often bypassing or excluding paid placements in favor of organic, AI-curated results. Key findings and insights from the white paper include: - The search paradigm shift: AI-powered search (SGE, voice assistants) prioritises trustworthy, structured, local content, pushing paid ads down or out. Over 65% of Google searches now result in zero clicks. - Decline of traditional search ads: Data shows a 17% fall in click-through rates (CTR) for search ads and a 23% year-over-year increase in cost-per-click (CPC) in key verticals, making them less efficient. - Organic local presence as the competitive edge: Up-to-date Google business profiles (GBPs), high-quality reviews, accurate business information, and structured data across platforms (Facebook, Apple Maps, Bing, Uber) are now paramount. These assets are persistent, credible, and directly ingested by AI. - Real-world impact: A case study of a leading South African QSR chain using Location Bank's platform demonstrated a remarkable 37% increase in direction requests from Google Maps within 90 days, achieved solely by improving GBP data accuracy across 450+ stores, without additional ad spend. - Data-driven strategy: The paper emphasises that collecting and analysing local search behaviour empowers brands with competitive insights, allowing them to feed AI platforms with consistent, location-level data that drives visibility. The white paper provides a clear action plan for multi-location brands to build durable, AI-friendly local infrastructure, including conducting audits, standardising NAP data, actively managing reviews, and leveraging platforms like Location Bank to centralise and scale updates. About Location Bank Location Bank is a South African-based martech company dedicated to helping brands centralise their location data, manage online reputation, and maximise visibility across platforms like Google and Facebook. Trusted by SMEs and enterprises alike, Location Bank provides the tools businesses need to thrive in a connected world.
