Call of Duty Black Ops 7 teaser: David Mason will battle fear itself to save a world on the brink of chaos. Watch
Call of Duty Black Ops 7 teaser: The Call of Duty game series is one of the most popular gaming properties in the world, with their catalogue spanning across two decades and 23 games. Published originally by Activision in 2003, the series and its characters have become synonymous with first-person shooter games, and now they are back with another addition to their prolific collection. Developed by Treyarch and Raven Software, Black Ops 7 is set in 2035 and will pick up from after the events of Black Ops 2 and 6.
Our protagonist, David 'Section' Mason, who was earlier voiced by Avatar actor David Worthington, will now be voiced by actor Milo Ventimiglia, who is best known for his role in the TV series Gilmore Girls. David can be seen exploring the offices of The Guild, which poses as a company building tech for the betterment of society but in reality is a criminal organisation. David soon realises how the company's innovations are getting more advanced and stronger and how the promise of protecting the entire world is just another way of putting it in a cage.

David follows a red butterfly, which seems to be a digital creation, and finds himself in a world with its dimensions all warped. As the butterfly lands upon a hand that emerges from the dark, the palm closes, reducing the butterfly to dust, and we hear the familiar voice of Raul Menendez, the main antagonist of Black Ops 2 and Call of Duty Strike Team. For context, Menendez is a Nicaraguan drug lord who planned an attack against the US government and other heads of state.
While the teaser doesn't give away the exact motive behind Menendez's plans, we get an idea about his psyche going into this narrative as he snarls while addressing David and says, 'Fear is a powerful thing, David Mason.' No confirmation regarding the release date was made, but most Call of Duty games drop in either October or November. The caption posted by the developers along with the teaser reads, 'The year is 2035, and the world is on the brink of chaos, ravaged by violent conflict and psychological warfare following the events of Black Ops 2 and Black Ops 6. Wielding cutting-edge technology, the Black Ops team led by David Mason must fight back against a manipulative enemy who weaponises fear above all else.'

F1 The Movie Box Office Collection: Brad Pitt starrer off to flying start in India
F1: The Movie took trade by surprise in India, speeding off the line with a strong Rs. 6.50 crore (USD 750K) opening day. These numbers include Rs. 30 lakhs from IMAX fans' first previews earlier this week. The Hollywood box office in India is very much IP-based, with records of all sorts dominated by films from a handful of franchises. There are perhaps only five original Hollywood films, original in the sense of not being a sequel, prequel, reboot, spin-off or remake, that have managed to open above Rs. 5 crore. And even to compile that list, one has to look back nearly two decades to titles like 2012, Avatar and Life of Pi. The one key reason for a strong opening is probably the sport itself. Formula 1 or F1 enjoys a niche but passionate fan base in India, which turned up for the film. The film also benefits from being a large-screen spectacle, with IMAX accounting for over one-third of its business. Adding to the appeal is the fact that this is the director's follow-up to his 2022 global blockbuster Top Gun: Maverick. That, Tom Cruise fronted film opened to Rs. 3.50 crore and then went on to have a twenty-plus week run in India for Rs. 49 crore final gross. F1 is expected to show good growth over the weekend, with the first weekend projected to come in around Rs. 25 crore. That would have been a solid lifetime number for this film; now it can aim for a lot more. Although next week will see the release of the big Hollywood tentpole, Jurassic World, F1 has IMAXes to its disposal exclusively for the next two weeks, which should keep it running. A Rs. 50 crore plus final seems easy enough, which would be amongst the biggest ever for an original film in India.

David Beckham hospitalised as wife Victoria shares post-surgery recovery pic: ‘Get well soon daddy'
Former English footballer David Beckham is on the mend after undergoing surgery to correct a long-standing wrist injury—just weeks after being named in King Charles III's Birthday Honours list. The 50-year-old, now officially set to be knighted for his services to football and charity, was photographed in a hospital gown with his arm in a sling on Friday. Victoria Beckham shared David Beckham's photo after his surgery The image, shared by his wife Victoria Beckham on her Instagram Stories, showed the Inter Miami CF co-owner smiling from a hospital bed despite the fresh surgery. 'Get well soon daddy,' she wrote alongside a heart emoji. David Beckham suffered an injury during a friendly match against South Africa in 2003 According to report in People magazine, David's procedure was to finally address complications from a 2003 match injury, when he broke his wrist playing for England against South Africa. A dissolvable screw inserted during earlier treatment reportedly failed to dissolve properly over time, causing discomfort that worsened in recent months. Victoria later shared another photo, this time of David at home, holding a handmade beaded bracelet reading 'Get well soon'—a likely gift from one of their four children, adding a sweet family touch to the recovery. This brief hospital stay comes during an otherwise celebratory chapter in David's life. Earlier this month, it was officially announced that he would receive a knighthood, with the football icon set to become Sir David Beckham. The honour, long speculated, was met with overwhelming joy by David and his family. He reportedly took his mother Sandra out for lunch after the announcement, where she got emotional over the recognition. On the professional front, David continues to juggle his business empire, including the soaring popularity of his Major League Soccer club, Inter Miami. The team—boosted by the global spotlight surrounding Lionel Messi—is preparing for its new $1 billion stadium, Miami Freedom Park, expected to open in time for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Despite whispers of past family tensions—especially involving their son Brooklyn and daughter-in-law Nicola Peltz—the Beckhams appear united, with recent Father's Day posts including heartfelt tributes from all of their children.
