Sharon Stone Was 'Frustrated' With Rubber Knives in Nobody 2: 'Throw Real…'

Sharon Stone, 67, returns in Nobody 2 as antagonist Lendina, frustrated with rubber knives. After a 2001 stroke, she doubted herself but was convinced by her kids and Bob Odenkirk.
Sharon Stone got 'frustrated" throwing rubber knives in Nobody 2. The 67-year-old actress features in the upcoming action sequel as antagonist Lendina and demanded that real knives be used in the scenes to make things more authentic.
Sharon told Empire magazine: 'I've been in the action-movie business for a really long time. I was getting really frustrated because the stunt team was having me throw a bunch of f****** rubber knives. If you're going to throw knives, throw real knives."
Sharon had not appeared in an action movie since suffering a life-threatening stroke in 2001 and admits that she had doubts about whether she could return to the genre after being approached for a role in the film alongside Bob Odenkirk. The Basic Instinct star said: 'Twenty years ago or so I had a stroke. And I started over, and I haven't done an action movie since then. I literally did not know, 'Do I still have it in me? Am I going to be able to come in here and make people believe that I can be this ass-kicking hyper-villain?'"
Sharon was convinced to sign up for the sequel after watching the original 2021 flick Nobody with her kids – adopted sons Roan, 25, Laird, 20, and Quinn, 19 – and explained that they were thrilled when she accepted the part. The Total Recall star said: 'When I was up for it, my kids were out of my minds."
She also relished the opportunity to collaborate with Better Call Saul star Odenkirk. Stone said: 'He's a good guy. I love the work, Odenkirk loves his work. He's like (Robert) De Niro, working to work better."
Bob also enjoyed the experience and is now planning to work together with her on another film. The 62-year-old star said: 'We're trying to think of another movie we can do together. I have an idea that I've been kicking around. A very low-key comedy."
The idea to cast Sharon as the villain came about as Odenkirk wants the Nobody franchise to become a 'fantasy" in a similar way to the James Bond films. He said: 'I want it to become a fantasy. I want it to become James Bond, and I want the villain to be as big and colourful and unreal as a James Bond villain."
Odenkirk suffered a heart attack while filming Better Call Saul in 2021 but insists that reprising his role as ex-government assassin Hutch Mansell did not pose a health risk. He explained: 'There's almost no scarring on my heart after all that. And the reason is, according to the nurse and my cardio doctor, is that these other veins that feed your heart were somewhat enlarged. They're bigger than you normally see, and that was because of the two-and-a-half years of training for Nobody. I can work out. I do two a day when I'm training for the movie."

The NYC outing follows their romantic Fourth of July weekend getaway to Mallorca, Spain, where the duo was spotted hugging on a yacht, according to Daily Mail. People reports that Aniston and Curtis have been dating for a few months, after meeting through mutual friends. The Friends star was reportedly familiar with Curtis' work before they met in person — she had read his self-help book and followed him on social media for nearly two years. An insider told the publication that Jim is 'different" from Aniston's past partners and that the two share a 'deep emotional intelligence." Curtis, a motivational speaker and published author, focuses on helping people 'break free from their past patterns" and live with purpose, according to Daily Mail. His own personal health journey including a serious nerve condition diagnosed in 1995 — led him to explore hypnotherapy and mindfulness, eventually shaping his career in wellness. Aniston has not publicly dated anyone since her 2018 breakup with actor Justin Theroux. She was previously married to Brad Pitt from 2000 to 2005 and to Theroux from 2015 until their separation. In 2022, Aniston opened up about her private struggles with IVF, saying she had 'zero regrets" despite not having children. Rahul Dholakia Recalls Shooting Raees With SRK While His Mom Was In ICU: 'It Was A Nightmare'

The Raees director also discussed the emotional toll he experienced during the shoot of the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer. Filmmaker Rahul Dholakia, best known for Raees, Parzania and Lamhaa, recently opened up about the physical and emotional toll that directing a film can take. In a candid conversation with The Times of India, Dholakia revealed he suffered major health setbacks — including diabetes, high blood pressure and even a heart attack — while working on different films. Reflecting on the intensity of the filmmaking process, Dholakia admitted that it often comes at the cost of one's mental and physical well-being. 'I've had diabetes after one film, blood pressure after another, and a heart attack after one more," he shared. The Raees director also discussed the emotional toll he experienced during the shoot of the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer. He revealed that during the first schedule of Raees, his mother was in the ICU, and he was dealing with chronic pain himself. Despite the personal turmoil, he couldn't afford to step away from the set. 'My mom was in the ICU, I was suffering from chronic pain… but I couldn't take off. SRK was on set, and I had to shoot," Dholakia recalled. 'I would stay with my mom at the hospital at night, then come to set and pretend everything was normal. It was a nightmare but you can't bring your problems on set." Dholakia also pointed out how discussing mental health is still considered taboo in the film industry. 'Our industry is such a performance-driven industry that people are afraid to say they're not well. There's always a fear of being dropped. No one wants to look weak," he said. He urged others in the industry to prioritise their mental health and seek help when needed. 'That's a big problem — it's always do or die. Your life is yours. Don't let anyone take it away from you. If you feel low, don't feel shy to take help — you have to look after yourself." First Published: August 06, 2025, 03:26 IST Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. BTS Members Can't Stop Posting Jimin On Instagram; ARMYs Call Him ‘Angelic Flower'

BTS' J-Hope, RM, and V shared new Instagram posts featuring Jimin, leaving ARMYs emotional and dubbing him the group's 'angelic flower.' Even as BTS member Jimin continues his silent streak on Instagram, his bandmates J-Hope, V, and RM are making sure fans get their daily dose of him. Despite recently deleting two beloved posts from his own account, Jimin remains ever-present on social media — thanks to his friends in BTS who can't help but include him in their own uploads. On August 5, J-Hope took to Instagram to share a photo dump from his time in Los Angeles. Among the many aesthetic visuals, ARMYs quickly spotted Jimin lounging on a chair, absorbed in his phone while soaking in the sun. RM also shared moments from the same LA trip, including a serene image of himself walking with J-Hope and Jimin by the sea. Even though the photo showed them from behind, fans instantly recognised the trio. Meanwhile, V also updated his Instagram on August 4. Apart from his moments with Jungkook, fans spotted Jimin relaxing in a swimming pool in one snap. V also shared an Instagram story of Jimin standing on a bicycle — another visual treat for Jimin-starved ARMYs. EVERYONE IS IN LOVE WITH JIMIN — 뱅스 (@army__tww) August 5, 2025 Fans took to social media to express how Jimin isn't just loved by ARMYs but by his own members too. One user gushed, 'Jimin is angelic flower." Another declared, 'Everyone is in love with Jimin." A third ARMY quipped, 'They don't even let us sleep because they're updating us all the time… thanks guys for giving us Jimin content since he appears on other IGs that aren't his." Many fans were left awestruck by Jimin's youthful appearance. 'Jimin's skin is glowing and his hair looks glorious. He is healthy and happy," one fan noted. Another added, 'In less than a day, four photos of Jimin have been released, and you don't know whether to hold onto your heart or your breath." Jimin, who is currently in Los Angeles along with his BTS mates, is reportedly working on their highly anticipated comeback album, which is slated for release in spring 2026. While fans eagerly wait for his solo posts to return, they're more than happy getting glimpses of him through the lens of his friends.
