Meet the millionaire groom set to shake up Married At First Sight 2026 - as filming kicks off in Sydney
Daily Mail Australia can exclusively reveal the identity of the first groom set to shake up the experiment.
Daniel Hewitt will star on the upcoming thirteenth season, which is currently being filmed across Sydney.
The Melbourne-based real estate agent, who friends say is 'fun, confident, and the life of the party', has quietly stepped away from the property game to say 'I do' to a total stranger - and producers are said to be thrilled with their casting decision.
Hewitt has made a name for himself in the competitive Melbourne market, racking up $9.6 million in sales over the past 12 months, including a jaw-dropping $2.8 million deal for a seven-bedroom home in Chadstone that went under the hammer in June.
According to property records, Daniel sold 12 homes in the past year - a mix of houses and apartments - with an impressive average sale price of $1.1 million and a turnaround time of just 48 days on the market.

But it's not just his property portfolio making headlines.
Insiders say Daniel, who was born in England and bears a striking resemblance to UFC star Conor McGregor, is no stranger to the finer things in life.
'He's got this real swagger about him,' one friend said. 'He's confident, sharp, and always up for a good time. Definitely not the shy type.'
'He rolls with a pretty glam Melbourne crowd too - lots of influencers, creatives, that sort of scene.'
Daniel's presence on the show has already made waves, with his flashy style, cheeky charm and smooth-talker energy catching the attention of his bride - and the camera crew.
'Let's just say he knows how to work a room,' a production insider dished. 'He's not afraid of the spotlight, and that's exactly what we want.'
His casting comes just days after brides were spotted filming their lavish TV weddings across Sydney, including blonde bombshell Rebecca Zukowski, who turned heads at Centennial Park and has already been dubbed the show's new 'wild card'.
Daniel's wedding is understood to have been filmed earlier this week, with honeymoons already underway.
Daily Mail Australia previously revealed the 2026 season almost didn't make it to air after last-minute cast dropouts forced producers to scramble behind the scenes.
'They had multiple people pull out and had to move quickly to fill those spots,' one well-placed source revealed.
But the end result? A bold, diverse cast of professionals, creatives, and big personalities - with producers tipping this to be one of the 'most explosive seasons yet.'
'Some couples are hitting it off immediately, others are absolute mismatches - the drama is already building,' one insider said.
'Daniel's definitely one to watch. He's got that mix of confidence, cheek, and unpredictability - and it's going to make for great TV.'

Former Married At First Sight participant Elizabeth Sobinoff has revealed she suffered a heartbreaking miscarriage between the births of her two children. The 34-year-old reality TV alum shared the personal news on Instagram on Monday, reflecting on a difficult chapter in her life. Sobinoff, who rose to fame during her appearances on MAFS in 2019 and 2020, is now a mother to an 18-month-old daughter and a newborn son, who was born in April. 'Saying goodbye to a chapter of life that had its ups and downs,' she wrote in her caption, adding: 'It is bittersweet to say goodbye to that chapter of my life. I have my two babies and it is the most beautiful feeling in the world.' In the post, she disclosed that her children are 17 months apart and shared that she experienced a miscarriage before falling pregnant with her second child. 'My babies are 17 months apart,' she wrote. 'I had a miscarriage between my two pregnancies. I lost a baby. The baby had a strong heartbeat after my first scan… Less than 48hrs later I was experiencing a threatened miscarriage. The scan was on a Wednesday and by that Sunday I lost the baby.' She went on to describe how deeply the experience affected her, revealing that she felt a strong need to become pregnant again following the loss. 'I was focused,' she wrote. 'I couldn't get past this. Losing the baby, I thought I need to give myself a rest. Around a week and a half later I fell pregnant with my son.' Reflecting further on the emotional aftermath, she admitted she had not fully processed the grief at the time. 'I just lost a baby that I wanted so badly,' she said. Now I find I'm on the journey of enjoying my children and finding my new identity, other than being pregnant. It is bittersweet.' Married At First Sight 2026's sauciest bride risks major wardrobe malfunction as she marries Aussie reality star in beach ceremony
Married At First Sight has started filming across Sydney - and it seems we've found the sauciest bride of the 2026 season. Gia Fleur was exclusively pictured by Daily Mail Australia on Monday wearing a very racy wedding ensemble as she married Aussie reality star Scott McCristal in a romantic beach ceremony. The bride put on a busty display in a mermaid tail dress, which tightly hugged her figure as she wed the Million Dollar Island alum on Maroubra Beach. The frock boasted long sleeves, an accentuated waist and a high slit up the leg, which saw Gia risk a major wardrobe malfunction as she walked down the aisle. However, it was the frilly, bow-emblazoned garter wrapped around her left leg that raised eyebrows. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Gia finished off the look by sweeping up her golden locks into a bun and wore a jewel-encrusted tiara. Gia's groom was smitten as she came down the aisle. The couple were all smiles as they wed in front of a picturesque beach scene. Scott could be seen leaning back in fits of laughter after one point as they held hands at the altar. The new couple exchanged rings and then a kiss as they said 'I do' for MAFS fans across the globe. Later on, Scott and Gia enjoyed a loved-up photo shoot on the beach, where they could be seen striking a variety of poses. One picture saw the couple in a passionate embrace, with Gia's garter-laden leg lifted up by her husband. Later, Scott carried his new bride across the beach. While the newest season of MAFS has kicked off with a bang, according to reports, it nearly didn't happen. Daily Mail Australia previously revealed the 2026 season almost didn't make it to air after last-minute cast dropouts forced producers to scramble behind the scenes. EXCLUSIVE Hollywood heartthrob goes incognito as he reveals shock new look at Maroubra Beach in Sydney
A major US actor looked completely unrecognisable as he filmed scenes for his new movie in Sydney over the weekend. Noah Centineo looked very different as he donned long blonde hair while filming the new Street Fighter film at Maroubra Beach. The Gen Z heartthrob, 28, is set to play the role of Ken Masters alongside other major stars including rapper 50 Cent. He was dressed in a white singlet and denim pants as he got into character. Noah had bright yellow sunglasses on his locks as he chatted with the crew before filming scenes for the upcoming movie. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. It comes after Noah recently sparked romance rumours with Zoe Kravitz, 36, after they left a party together in West Hollywood back in March. The Big Little Lies star and actor, best known for his starring role in To All the Boys I've Loved Before, were seen exiting the same small bar/club around 2:20 a.m. According to eyewitnesses, the rumoured couple did leave in the same car. The pair's sighting came on the same day her ex-fiancé Channing Tatum, 44, went public with his new romance with Australian model Inka Williams at a pre-Oscars party in Los Angeles, hosted by Creative Artists Agency (CAA). Kravitz and Centineo refrained from engaging in any PDA and it is unknown if their relationship is romantic or platonic. The month prior the two were also seen hanging out in New York City. Kravitz and Tatum were romantically involved for three years and engaged for one, before they called off the wedding at the end of October. The split was a particular shock for the couple, as they had not only gotten engaged, but Channing had been spotted with fresh ink of Zoë's initials on the back of his hand in September. Noah shot to fame portraying Peter Kavinsky in the To All the Boys I've Loved Before film series, establishing himself as a teen heartthrob. He has also starred in the The Recruit, playing a CIA lawyer entangled in a dangerous world. Noah's most recent roles include Black Adam and Warfare. The actor has also appeared in Charlie Angles, The Fosters and Sierra Burgess Is A Loser.
