TRIC Awards updates as major soap stars battle out for top trophy

The TRIC Awards have kicked off in London, with a string of famous faces descending on the glitzy event. This year's do is being held at the swanky Grosvenor House, London, with radio and telly stars all hoping to walk away with the prestigious awards.
Going up against one another this year are the likes of Emmerdale, Coronation Street, EastEnders and Casualty. Meanwhile, radio stars such as. Simon Mayo, Ally McCoist, Vernon Kay and Jordan North are facing one another.
Each year, the awards honour TV shows, presenters and broadcasters in their respective categories, with all votes being made by the British public. While the winners are yet to be decided, we're bringing you live updates.
TRIC Awards present Dan Walker, who is hosting this year, and the event is being attended by close to 1,000 guests. Magic Radio host Lemar is also performing, setting the tone for the night.
With several major categories this year, the entertainment industry will be celebrated in style.
