Civil Service: Next Thursday Declared Official Holiday for Yemeni National Day (22 May)
Sana'a – SABA:
The Ministry of Civil Service and Administrative Development has announced that next Thursday, 24 Dhu al-Qa'dah 1446 AH (22 May 2025), will be an official holiday for all employees of state administrative units, the public sector, and the mixed sector, in observance of the 35th National Day of the Republic of Yemen (22 May).
In a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (SABA), the ministry indicated that this decision is based on Law No. (2) of 2000, Article (3), Paragraph (4), concerning official holidays.
On this occasion, the Ministries of Civil Service and Administrative Development and Information extended their warmest congratulations to: The Leader of the Revolution, the President and Members of the Supreme Political Council, the President and Members of the Salvation Government, all the Yemeni people, and the heroes of the Armed Forces and Security Forces stationed on the frontlines of honor and bravery.

Launch of second round of "Al-Aqsa Flood" training courses in Bani Hashish, Sana'a
Sana'a - Saba: The Local Council and Mobilization in Bani Hashish District, Sana'a province, organized a speech event on Sunday to mark the launch of activities and programs for the second round of "Al-Aqsa Flood" training courses for the year 1447 AH. Al-Hanmi also highlighted the successes achieved in the first round of the "Al-Aqsa Flood" courses. Meanwhile, District Director Rajih Al-Hanmi stressed the importance of everyone recognizing their responsibility to follow the directives of the revolution leader, Sayyed Abdulmalik Badreddin Al-Houthi, to continue the activities of "Al-Aqsa Flood" courses and to acquire combat skills in preparation for direct confrontation with the Zionist enemy while strengthening internal cohesion. Following the launch ceremony, 210 male and 105 female initiators from the district's sub-districts were honored. Additionally, 11 associations were awarded shields, and active members were recognized with certificates of appreciation in recognition of their efforts in serving developmental work in the district. Gaza – SABA: The Government Media Office in the Gaza Strip announced on Sunday that the number of aid victims targeted by the Israeli occupation forces near the so-called 'death traps' or 'American-Israeli aid distribution centers' has risen to 580 martyrs, 4,216 injured, and 39 missing persons. In a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (SABA), the office confirmed that the martyrs, injured, and missing were all starving civilians killed by Israeli forces while trying to obtain food from these death traps since operations began on May 27. The statement strongly condemned the ongoing crimes committed by the Israeli army against starving civilians. The Gaza Government Media Office held Israel and the countries involved in the genocide, foremost among them the United States, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, fully legally, historically, and morally responsible for carrying out and supporting the genocide of civilians in Gaza. It called on the international community and all free nations to pressure the Israeli entity to open border crossings, end the siege, and allow the entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip before it's too late. Yemen participates in international poetry festival in support of Gaza with recorded speech by Culture & Tourism Minister Facebook Facebook Whatsapp Whatsapp Telegram Telegram Email Email Print Print [Sun, 29 Jun 2025 21:20:04 +0300]Sana'a - Saba:Yemen participated in the International Poetry Festival in Support of Gaza, organized by the World Poets Movement under the leadership of its president, the renowned global poet Eduardo Rondón, on June 28-29 in event saw the participation of 170 poets representing 110 countries involvement in the festival's opening ceremony featured a recorded speech by the Minister of Culture and Tourism, Dr. Ali Al-Yafai, which was translated into English and his address, Al-Yafai praised the efforts of the organizing committee and the participating poets, emphasizing that this is the true role of intellectuals in upholding humanitarian stated that the Yemeni people have stood firmly with the Palestinian people since the very beginning, both politically and through massive popular demonstrations held weekly. He highlighted that Yemeni intellectuals have also made their voices heard through poems, anthems, and artistic works supporting Minister expressed his honor in participating in the global poetry festival, stressing that what is happening in Gaza is an unprecedented genocide in history."While we may hear in myths or historians' imaginations about past atrocities against groups of people in possibly fictional eras, today we witness daily the burning of an entire people," he said, condemning the unjustifiable and shameful global silence surrounding these added, "Though Yemen shares in the blockade and suffering with the Palestinian people, we strive to offer even a small part of our solidarity and support to this oppressed nation."
