Safe summer and strong values celebrated in Dibba Al Hisn

The session took place yesterday morning at the club's theatre in collaboration with the General Directorate of Civil Defence and was led by First Assistant Ahmed Mohammed Al Hammadi. The workshop focused on essential safety and prevention measures to be followed during the summer holiday. It highlighted responsible practices at home and in public spaces and emphasised actions to avoid—especially those that could endanger children and youth. The programme also featured a diverse range of workshops and activities aimed at deepening national identity, raising environmental and social awareness, and instilling positive values in young participants. Through these activities, Dibba Al Hisn Club continues to promote its vision of creating a safe, educational, and engaging summer environment—blending culture, learning, and sport to nurture a generation with strong community values and a sense of belonging. The week's events included an art workshop titled 'Cup Painting' led by artist Maryam Abdulrahman Al Hammoudi, in collaboration with the Sharjah Institute for Heritage – Dibba Al Hisn branch. Participants explored the beauty of Emirati folk art and learned how to use traditional symbols in their creative expression, while decorating cups with personal and cultural motifs. In addition, a Quran recitation workshop was held in the club's mosque, in collaboration with the Sharjah Islamic Affairs Office. Delivered by Sheikh Mohammed Oglad, the session taught participants correct pronunciation, articulation rules, and the fundamentals of Tajweed, aiming to deepen their religious understanding and Quranic knowledge in an interactive setting. The week also included traditional and sports activities such as football, swimming, chess, and carrom. These not only developed the children's physical and mental skills but also encouraged teamwork, healthy competition, and cooperation in a safe and motivating space. At the end of the week, His Excellency Dr Mohammed Ahmed Al Matoua, Chairman of the Dibba Al Hisn Cultural and Sports Club, honoured a number of outstanding and committed participants in recognition of their active engagement and consistent attendance. He praised the organising team for their efforts in ensuring the success of the third week and achieving its educational and cultural goals.

Dibba Al Hisn Club holds 2 workshops on Quran recitation and falconry

The club's mosque hosted a Quranic workshop titled 'With My Recitation of the Quran, I Elevate My Life', in collaboration with the Department of Islamic Affairs. The session, led by Sheikh Mohammed Oughlad, saw active participation from attendees who immersed themselves in a spiritual atmosphere and gained valuable insights on the virtue of correct recitation and its positive influence on human behaviour. Summer Initiatives That Blend Fun, Education, and Values The workshop forms part of the 'Here is Sharjah' week, under the Sharjah Summer Sports Programme organised by the Sharjah Sports Council, held under the slogan 'Our Holiday is Different'. It is one of the key summer initiatives that combine entertainment, education, and instilling values in children and youth during their summer break—aligned with the educational and cultural vision of the Emirate of Sharjah in supporting the younger generation. Developing a Balanced Emirati Child and Youth Personality The club continues its efforts by offering distinctive programmes that contribute to developing a balanced personality for Emirati children and youth. This approach draws inspiration from the wise leadership of the Emirate of Sharjah, which has turned summer into an effective educational platform, no less important than school in its moral and social roles. Educational Workshop on Falconry As part of connecting participants with their national heritage and introducing them to the UAE's cultural legacy, the club also held an educational workshop on falconry, in cooperation with the Sharjah Falconers Club. The session, delivered by trainer Badr Ali Al Marikhi, focused on the significance of falconry in Emirati culture and its value as an art and heritage that reflects the deep bond between humans and the environment. Participants were introduced to the tools used in the practice and learned the basics of handling falcons in a hands-on experience that added rich cultural depth to the day. Games, Football and Swimming On the same day, participants enjoyed a variety of activities including fun games, football, and swimming, all conducted in an atmosphere of joy and enthusiasm. The events were supervised by the club's staff and volunteers, who ensured a safe, educational environment that promotes teamwork, cooperation, discipline, and social engagement. Fostering a Sense of Belonging and Community Responsibility Organisers of the summer activities at Dibba Al Hisn Club affirmed that these events are part of a series of educational, sporting, and artistic programmes offered throughout the summer. They aim to help participants make meaningful use of their time in ways that benefit them intellectually, behaviourally, and physically, while also strengthening their sense of belonging and social responsibility.

Continuous youth support The ceremony highlighted a four-month sporting journey, embodying the vision of the Rubu' Qarn, supporting youth and providing a safe and stimulating competitive environment that contributes to honing talents and enhancing sporting values among participants, preparing them for a promising sporting future at the local and international levels. The ceremony began with the UAE national anthem, followed by a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by member Ibrahim Khalifa Al Suwaidi. This was followed by a welcoming speech by member Issa Abdullah Al Mazmi, in which he expressed the Foundation's appreciation to everyone who supported this success. Successful journey Attendees watched a short film documenting the league's most prominent milestones, capturing hundreds of hours of intensive training and competitive matches, from moments of challenge to team spirit and discipline on the field, all the way to victory and ascent to the podium. This film embodied the advanced technical level and sportsmanship that pervaded the tournament atmosphere. Recognition The ceremony concluded with an honoring ceremony for the referees' management at the UAE Football Association, in recognition of their professional role in managing matches, which contributed to enhancing players' adherence to the rules and guiding them to proper conduct on the field, reflecting the league's educational and sporting objectives. The ceremony also included media representatives, news websites, and electronic media platforms for their media support in highlighting the league's activities, documenting its moments, and conveying a true, bright image. This reflected the magnitude of the effort and organisation, contributed to entrenching the event in the community's consciousness, and promoted the noble values of sport among young people. Members of the league's organising committee and the cooperative employees from Sharjah Youth were also honoured in recognition of their efforts in organising and monitoring the tournament, along with the participating centers and their teams of referees and coaches. It is worth noting that the Sharjah Youth Futsal League is not just a sports tournament; rather, it is an integrated development project that embodies Sharjah Youth's vision of preparing generations who possess awareness, values, and skills, in a continuous process of building the leaders of the future.
