Fergie, who spent two years at Ibrox from 1967 to 1969, was given the honour of being the venue's first-ever visitor.
Some of the most famed items in Rangers' history are on display in the museum, including a letter from Ferguson.
The letter was one Govan-born Ferguson penned to Dick Advocaat after the Dutchman guided the Teddy Bears to a treble in the 1998/1999 season.
It read: "Dear Dick. Just a wee note to congratulate you and your players on winning the treble.
"I know how difficult it is to maintain the level of fitness and determination to achieve all three trophies, but your players carried out the task wth great style.
"Please pass on my sincere good wishes to all your staff.
"Yours sincerely, Sir Alex Ferguson."
Ferguson appeared to be emotional as he looked at the letter and the rest of the Gers memorabilia.

The Ibrox faithful were thrilled that Fergie was the first person to enter the doors of the Rangers Museum.
One wrote on X: "Brilliant to see Fergie looking so well, and nice to see him at Ibrox."
Another said: "Once a Ranger, always a Ranger."

Raging Rangers star spotted BOOTING dugout during Panathinaikos game as little-known rule leaves him seething

Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) IT was all smiles at full-time for Russell Martin and his players as he kicked off his Ibrox reign with a huge win over Panathinaikos last night. But the same can't be said for at least one of his players DURING the Champions League crunch qualifier clash. The Albanian playmaker was given a few minutes on the pitch at the end of the first leg as he replaced debutant Joe Rothwell in the dying moments when it was 2-0. He finally got his chance in the 86th minute after the substitution was denied TWICE by the officials. There was confusion in the home dugout as Bajrami pleaded with the fourth official after not being allowed on the pitch in a bizarre incident. There was an issue with the player's socks that the Lithuanian refereeing team weren't happy with. Bajrami continued the popular trend of cutting several holes in his socks to help improve circulation in his legs. The fourth official wasn't happy with the adjustments he made and ordered him to change the socks before allowing him to come on. Bajrami was left puzzled and furious after being ordered twice to change them, delaying his substitution. He took out his anger and frustration on the Rangers dugout as he was spotted booted the structure following chats on the touchline. The midfielder eventually came on the pitch with perfect socks in the end. It's unclear exactly what the issue was as both Nasser Djiga and goal-scorer Djeidi Gassama had several holes in their socks as well and were allowed on the pitch without any fuss. Bajrami did, however, appear to have a hole in the FRONT end of one sock which both Uefa and Fifa could have issue with. According to rules and regulations, the full front end of each sock must be untouched to ensure no shinguards are visible. 6 Djeidi Gassama with holes on his socks Credit: Alamy 6 Bajrami walking back to the dugout in rage 6 There was a small hole in the front end of his sock Keep up to date with ALL the latest news and transfers at the Scottish Sun football page

Love Island Megan's first date revealed as returning villa girl causes chaos and targets coupled up hunk

DUMPED Islanders Megan and Blu last night returned to the villa and their explosive first moves can now be revealed. Both aren't playing it safe in their last grasp for love and have to whisk someone away to date. 5 5 5 The Sun can reveal that Megan Forte Clarke pulls Conor Phillips who is currently smitten with Shakira Khan. Megan has huge unfinished business with the Irish rugby player after being dumped just after they'd spent a steamy night together in the Hideaway. She told him she would 'wait' for him - and he even considered leaving with the Irish actress. But Megan's return couldn't come at a worse time for poor Shakira, who revealed at LI Fest she was finally starting to let Conor in following her heartbreak with Harry Cooksley. A source said: 'The return of Megan especially is a masterstroke from Love Island bosses and will cause maximum drama. 'She always felt like an early loss and many expected her to return in Casa Amor, but waiting til this stage brings fireworks. 'The closing weeks of Love Island can often feel stale but this will really ramp up the tension. 'Blu is a man on a mission, so he won't be holding back either.' The Sun is keeping the identity of Blu Chegini's date quiet for now but he was fuming to leave in week one after a showdown with bombshell Shea Manning. It was on Tuesday night that Iain Stirling revealed the incredible comeback and The Sun understands the pair entered the villa last night. And angry fans have accused bosses of bringing Megan back to jeopardise the romantic connection that Shakira and Conor currently have. One person wrote: 'At this point LI is bullying Shakira… the girl has been going through it, soon as she has a little high they help bring her back down.' A second penned: 'Production clearly has it out for Shakira,' and a third echoed: 'At this point, just say you don't want Shakira to win.' Fans have speculated that Meg's return is all part of a game plan to stop Shakira from winning, by disrupting what she has with Conor. And they also think show bosses are pushing for either Meg or Helena to win the show. And some fans have taken to X to say they've complained to Ofcom about Megan's return as a result, adding 'we voted her off for a reason.' One person penned: 'Filed an OFCOM complaint against love island, this show deserves to be cancelled. I'm soooo serious!!!' Someone else penned: 'Submitting my first OFCOM complaint now that they've bought Meg back.' A third echoed: 'Production doing everything to stand in Shakira's way. Filing an IPSO.' Megan said before heading back to Love Island: "I'm excited to go back in, I think I left quite abruptly and I'm going back in for some clarity. "It was an easy decision to make. When you can't speak to people for a couple of weeks and have to watch them on telly every night, you want some answers." 5 5

Ozzy Osbourne stuns Olivia Newton-John with painfully blunt assessment of her age-defying health drink during unearthed appearance on The Graham Norton Show - 16 years before his tragic death

From vague recollections of a drunken arrest in Memphis to a blunt assessment of Olivia Newton-John 's new health drink - Ozzy Osbourne 's typical candour was more than evident during what would prove to be a memorable appearance on The Graham Norton Show. Devastated fans across the world have paid tribute to the legendary singer following his death aged 76 on July 21 - just three weeks after reuniting with his Black Sabbath bandmates for a farewell show at Birmingham 's Villa Park. The star was a titan of music who somehow survived controversies that would end the careers of many others, and weathered health problems that would leave most of us on our backs. And he was on hand to recollect some of his hellraising antics during an appearance on Graham Norton's BBC chat show in 2009 - after sampling fellow guest Olivia Newton-John's new health drink. Appearing on Norton's famous red sofa alongside wife Sharon, the rocker was in the studio to promote his new, ghost-written autobiography, I Am Ozzy. But promotional concerns were momentarily set aside while the couple sampled anti-ageing drink Zamu - developed by the late Newton-John and her then husband, John Easterling. Following a visibly unimpressed Sharon's lead, Osbourne drained a glass of the milky brown concoction before being handed 'another shot' by the host. 'This will make you feel good Ozzy,' urged Newton-John as she passed him a second glass. But after adopting a cut-glass middle-England accent and removing his sunglasses to joke that he could 'suddenly see,' the Brummie rocker offered a withering assessment of her new venture. 'What a load of b**locks,' he muttered, promoting audible gasps from Sharon and the studio audience. Fortunately for Newton-John, who passed away in 2022 following a battle with cancer, she failed to hear the quip - despite being sat alongside Osbourne. Earlier that night, the rocker reflected on why it had taken him more tha sixty years to pass his driving test, 'I was too p**sed to drive,' he explained. 'I'd go to the test centre, they'd see me and go "no Mr. Osbourne, come back another day. I'm not even getting in the car with you." 'I was walking round the test centre with a bottle of vodka in my pocket.' Osbourne also shared a series of boozy anecdotes from his colourful past, among them the reason behind a high profile arrest in Memphis at the height of his career. 'I was drinking saki out of a soup bowl,' he explained. 'The next thing I know, I'm waking up and it's pitch black, and there's blue car-lights going past me. I'm going "where are we?" 'So I'm feeling around in the dark and I feel this guy. I want to take a pee so I unzip myself and suddenly this blue light goes 'whooo!' 'This cop goes, "when you've finished shaking that out your ass is going to jail!"' Confirming his death in a statement, his family said on Tuesday night: 'It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. 'He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time. Sharon, Jack, Kelly, Aimee and Louis.' The rocker was able to bid an emotional farewell to his fans on stage this month as he reunited with his original Black Sabbath bandmates Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward for the first time since 2005. 'You've no idea how I feel - thank you from the bottom of my heart,' Osbourne told the crowd in his final speech. The music legend vowed, however, that it would be his final ever performance due to his health, having opened up about his battle with Parkinson's in 2020.
