Syre Magnolian releases Maana raja

SEBOKENG.- Zone 7, Sebokeng-based, Bongani Lebohang Koena, professionally known as 'Syre Magnolian', is a musical genius making music with his melodic voice. To show his musical 'ear', Syre got his inspiration from the world-renowned A-listers in the likes of Chris Brown, Drake, XXXTentacion, Travis Scott, and Tory Lanez. He started making music back in 2008, while in Grade Two. 'At school, I was never like other children. Teachers liked me for my voice compared to my academics, and later they influenced me to join the school choir after witnessing the talent I have.' His musical journey was then noticed later on different DSP's mainly on Facebook, with multiple visuals of a song called Why O Yetsa Jwalo. However, his exposure to the world started when he posted visuals of an exclusive song called Maana Raja, which will release this month. Look out for it on online music platforms. 'A tragedy for the jazz community': Legendary SA trumpeter Feya Faku dies on tour in Switzerland

Tributes are pouring in for Feya Faku after the legendary South African jazz musician died on Monday while on tour in Switzerland. The trumpeter and flugelhornist was just 63 years old. Born in the Eastern Cape, Faku had built up an international reputation. He is being remembered as the 'gentle giant' of African jazz. A statement from the Faku family confirmed the musician's death, saying he had 'peacefully passed away in his sleep' in the Swiss city, Basel. Jazz show host Nothemba Madumo recalls the fond memories she has of the last time she saw Faku, which was two months ago in April at the International Jazz Day celebration hosted by 702.
