Madden NFL 26 overall ratings for every Patriots rookie draft pick

USA Today3 days ago
With the official release of EA's Madden NFL 26 right around the corner, the popular video game franchise is trickling out player ratings. They recently revealed the ratings for all of the New England Patriots' rookie 2025 NFL draft picks.
Patriots offensive tackle Will Campbell made the top 10 as the fifth-highest rated rookie in the game. The former LSU standout was the No. 4 overall draft pick and arguably the best offensive lineman in the country last season.
However, the Patriots have multiple rookies on their roster who should have popped a decent overall rating, including running back TreVeyon Henderson, wide receiver Kyle Williams and kicker Andres Borregales.
Here are the overall ratings for every Patriots' rookie draft pick:
The Patriots are believed to have selected one of their best draft classes in recent memory, at least on paper.
Campbell, Wilson, Borregales and Ashby are considered likely starters this season, even though they're still technically competing for jobs at training camp. Henderson, Williams, Woodson, Farmer and even Swinson are also expected to be contributors right out of the gate.
It's as promising a rookie class as the Patriots have ever had.

Patriots reporter addresses specific concerns regarding Will Campbell

New England Patriots rookie Will Campbell is coming into the 2025 season with a ton of expectations, despite being new to the NFL. The offensive tackle is one of the highest-rated rookies in Madden NFL 26, and he has been under a heavy microscope since he first stepped onto the practice field. Campbell himself admitted on Friday that the NFL is vastly different than the collegiate ranks, noting that he has not been able to get away with some of the same stuff he did in college. Boston Sports Journal's Mike Giardi pinpointed some concerns in a recent column earlier this week. 'Up until Wednesday's practice, Campbell had been fine. He's shown to be an above-average run blocker during the padded practices we've seen, and while exposed at times as a pass blocker, it's not anything I didn't expect,' Giardi wrote. 'The two sacks allowed on Wednesday were concerning, and he was beaten on another play as well, but Drake Maye sidestepped the rush. Campbell had more issues on Friday and was beaten on back-to-back reps by Truman Jones. Welcome to life as an NFL left tackle.' The early struggles are certainly expected, given that Campbell is a rookie adjusting to the NFL level. His play overall could have a major impact on the Patriots offensively considering he is expected to serve as the starting left tackle. The receiving weapons won't matter if the team fails to protect second-year quarterback Drake Maye. Follow Patriots Wire on Twitter and Facebook.

Patriots will unveil Tom Brady statue on Friday, August 8

Yes, Tom Brady is getting a statue. Via Mike Reiss of the bronze Brady will be unveiled on Friday, August 8, before the team's preseason opener against the Commanders. Reiss notes that, initially, the plan was to reveal the statue during the 2024 season, when Brady was at Gillette Stadium for a game. They targeted Week 5, against the Dolphins. A Week 2 concussion suffered by Miami quarterback Tua Tagovailoa prompted Fox to pull the plug on sending its No. 1 broadcast team to New England for the game. Brady and owner Robert Kraft are expected to speak at the ceremony in the hours preceding kickoff. Despite spending two decades in New England, Brady is now a minority owner of the Raiders. And the Patriots will open the season with a visit from Brady's Raiders. That would have been the best time to unveil the statue. Unfortunately, however, Brady isn't permitted to call Raiders games.

Patriots rookie Efton Chism studying film of two-time Super Bowl champ

Undrafted #Patriots WR Efton Chism III says he's currently studying film of Danny also has nightly study sessions with Mack Hollins. New England Patriots rookie wide receiver Efton Chism III revealed he is currently studying film on former Patriots great Danny Amendola, as he works on getting acclimated to a new offensive system. It's certainly not a bad idea to study film on a two-time Super Bowl champion who made as great an impact as Amendola did in New England. He recorded 230 receptions for 2,386 yards and 12 touchdowns in five seasons with the Patriots. Perhaps his greatest contributions were his clutch playoff performances, where he tallied a total of 57 catches for 709 yards and six touchdowns in 13 postseason games. Chism has a similar physical makeup at receiver, and he is hoping to learn a thing or two from Amendola's tape. Chism stood out as a possible dark horse to make the final roster in the spring practices. That noise has dipped in training camp, but it could be on the verge of ramping back up with a strong preseason showing. Perhaps Chism can take successful elements from Amendola's game and apply them to his own approach in training camp. Follow Patriots Wire on Twitter and Facebook.
