TRNSMT 2026: Who are 23 acts fans think could perform in Glasgow next year?

Scotsman6 hours ago
It's not even been 24 hours since TRNSMT 2025 saw Snow Patrol close out this year's festival, and yet people are already speculating who 'could' be performing in 2026.
But given that a number of acts are set to release new works within the run-up to next year's event, some of the usual names have been surfacing on social media, while some other names seem a little more plausible, if we're being (brutally) honest.
From the grapevines of TikTok, X, Reddit, and Blue Sky, we've picked out some of our favourite artists that have been suggested, coupled with a look at what upcoming album releases are taking place, to add to the speculation who 'could' perform at TRNSMT 2026 – as we wait for tickets to go on pre-sale hopefully a little later this week.
1 . Lana Del Rey
Known for her dreamy, cinematic pop and captivating stage presence, Lana Del Rey would offer a mesmerising and atmospheric performance at TRNSMT. Her unique aesthetic and rich storytelling through song create an immersive experience that draws audiences into her distinctive world. |for ABA Photo Sales
2 . Lizzo
The multi-talented and utterly infectious Lizzo would bring a tsunami of joy, empowerment, and pure funk to TRNSMT. Her high-energy performance, incredible vocals, and positive message would turn the festival into a full-blown dance party, making her an absolute must-see. | Getty Images Photo Sales
3 . Sky Ferreira
After a long-anticipated wait for new music, Sky Ferreira's return with a fresh album would make her a truly compelling act for TRNSMT 2026. Her unique blend of synth-pop, indie rock, and a darkly atmospheric aesthetic has cultivated a devoted cult following. Expect an enigmatic and fiercely individual performance. | Torben Christensen / Ritzau Scanpix / AFP Photo Sales
4 . A$AP Rocky
A leading figure in modern hip-hop, A$AP Rocky combines cutting-edge style with raw lyrical talent. His performances are known for their slick production and infectious energy, making him a compelling presence on any festival stage. He has a new album, Don't Be Dumb, coming out so perhaps an ideal for of promotion for his new record? | VittorioPhoto Sales

This kid, 4, features in Oasis' reunion tour alongside Scottish town

Oscar Borland features in the official programme for the rock and roll band, who recently returned to the stage for the first time in 16 years. The Gallagher brothers are playing to sold-out arenas across the globe and the four-year-old will feature in the pamphlet at all gigs. READ NEXT: Fontaines D.C. fans are all wearing this ONE thing to TRNSMT READ NEXT: I saw Jake Bugg at TRNSMT - he should have been on the Main Stage The picture was taken in Erskine earlier this year (Image: Supplied) Raymond, Oscar's dad, explained how the opportunity came about. He said: "I have been a huge Oasis fan ever since I can remember. From 1996 onwards I was hooked. "As I have gotten older, and during the time period when the band had broken up, I have been really into collecting Oasis memorabilia. "As a result of this obsession, I got to know Brian Cannon, who designed a lot of things for the band at their peak, such as album covers. "We became good friends after I started going to his shop Mircobot Boutique, down south in Kendal, which sells merchandise from the band and other groups." The programme is currently available for sale at the gigs (Image: Supplied) Despite his age, Raymond says his son realises something exciting is happening. He also opened up on the meaning behind Oscar's picture in the programme. Raymound continued: "Brian knew there would not be any new music on this tour and wanted to design the programme like an album cover, with 20 pages to fill. "The idea he came up with was to base the pictures in the programme around B-side songs that some fans think should have been singles. "I jokingly said about getting Oscar involved and amazingly it ended up happening. "Oasis have a song called Fade Away and the lyrics Brian referred to were 'The dreams we have as children fade away.' "Oscar was photographed on a football pitch in Erskine, throwing the Definitely Maybe Globe in the air and a flight case with Oasis on it beside him, the idea being he was dreaming of being in the band. "Noel Gallagher had the final say and he signed it off." Oscar was "very excited" to appear in the programme (Image: Supplied) Oasis will play three gigs at Murrayfield next month and Raymond, who will be attending two of the concerts with friends, and family, can't wait to see the programme in person. He added: "The family are all so proud of Oscar and he was brilliant throughout the shoot. "I didn't want to see the finished product until it was confirmed Oscar would be in the programme. "I am really happy with how it turned out and can't wait to buy it at the gigs."
