Peter Andre's wife emotionally explains decision not to have more children

Daily Mirror10-07-2025
Peter Andre's wife Dr Emily MacDonagh has explained their decision to not have any more children after welcoming three kids - Amelia, Theo and Arabella
Peter Andre's wife Dr Emily MacDonagh has revealed the pair do not plan to have anymore children. Peter and Emily share three kids together - Amelia, Theo and Arabella - and she is also stepmother to Peter's eldest children, Princess and Junior.
However, Emily has now revealed her family won't grown any further as she doesn't plan to have any more kids. Speaking on Giovanna Fletcher 's podcast, Happy Mum Happy Baby, she opened up about her difficult third pregnancy and birth and said there was no chance of her and Peter having any more children.

Asked if there's a chance of them having anymore kids, she said: "It's absolutely cemented now but we always said it would be the last anyway. We don't have anymore bedrooms for starters so that's a good enough reason.

"The car is full. We don't even have a seven seater anymore because Junior and Princess can drive."
Discussing the family dynamic, she said: "They have a lovely relationship together. Even though the older two have their own lives, so they're busy and doing their own thing, when they see the younger kids, and they're so sweet and they get the biggest hugs.

"The age gap is so big that it makes it easier because they're not in competition with each other. Like the younger ones understand that there's a different set of rules for the older ones because they're grown ups."
Elsewhere, Emily opened up about her bond with Princess and Junior and how important that is to her.
"I always feel lucky that they've kind of accepted me into their family. And I think then, when we had Millie and Theo - and Belle as well - it kind of cements you even more as a family. But I always feel like, you know, I'm not their mum, and that's something I always have to make sure I tread carefully with. I always see it, I think I would see it a bit more like being a big sister," she said.
"Which, I don't know if that's the right way to look at it, but I think, you know, I always try and give them guidance, but I wouldn't overstep that. Like, I obviously try and support them like I would do with my own kids. I always try and be the same. I'm quite strict though, on my kids. That's what I would say to the older kids - it's lucky there's an age gap, you know?"
She added: "Because then you guys don't need to worry about, like, silly rules I have. I'm like, you guys can be exempt because you're older. The age gap is enough that my kids don't ask the question, 'Why are they allowed to have the screens?'"

The Great British Sewing Bee fans left furious as 'wrong' contestant is sent home

Fans of The Great British Sewing Bee were left disappointed by the latest elimination on the BBC One show. Viewers who watched the latest episode of BBC 's The Great British Sewing Bee were furious over the recent elimination. Numerous fans took to social media to vent their frustration after Peter became the latest contestant to depart the programme, with many declaring it was the "wrong decision". ‌ During the latest round in Week Two, the participants tried to wow judges Patrick Grant and Esme Young with their creations. Their initial task involved constructing a seven-panel cap, before facing the challenge of transforming unwanted cycling gear into fresh garments. ‌ In the final round, dubbed Made to Measure, contestants were required to craft an athleisure outfit. ‌ Despite giving their all throughout each task, it was regrettably the end of the journey for Peter and Saffie, reports the Express. Two participants faced the axe after the judges chose not to eliminate anyone last week, following Glendora's illness which forced her withdrawal from a challenge. ‌ Presenter Sara Pascoe revealed: "Now for the difficult bit. You're all so talented, this was a really difficult decision but the two sewers leaving us this week are Saffie and Peter." Viewers were not pleased with the announcement, with one person grumbling online on X: "Disappointed to see Peter go, I think he had a lot more to give, his dress last week was fantastic! #SewingBee." A second also concurred and remarked: "#SewingBee It's a Pity about Peter. He should've measured the model. But it's a great show, starring Esme's necklace." ‌ One viewer added: "No way not Peter! Wrong decision #SewingBee." Another echoed: "Oh no, Peter! That was a bit of a shock, even though his made-to-measure wasn't great. #SewingBee." Peter, 45, spoke about his elimination, saying: "I kind of half expected to hear my name called. They were totally justified in what they said, and I've learnt from them." ‌ Meanwhile, Saffie admitted: "I kind of had a feeling I was going to go because I just hadn't kept most of the challenges within time." Judge Esme Young explained their decision: "Peter, he was reflecting who he was, but it wasn't well sewn." Patrick added: "Saffie, I'm disappointed because I would really like to see more from Saffie, but her execution let her down."

Abbey Clancy says ‘I wouldn't trust you as far as I could throw you' in brutal marriage insight

Model Abbey Clancy and former England international footballer Peter Crouch have been married since 2011, and regularly share insights into their relationship on their podcast, The Therapy Crouch Abbey Clancy says she wouldn't trust husband Peter Crouch 'as far as she could throw him' in a brutal marriage insight. The model has been with former England footballer Peter for almost two decades. ‌ The couple married in 2011, five years after they started dating, and now share four children together. They regularly discuss the highs and lows of married life on their podcast, The Therapy Crouch. ‌ In a recent episode, a listener wrote in saying their friends had all found themselves in relationships meaning they had no one to go out with. It prompted the woman to ask them if they would attend a singles night together. ‌ While former Liverpool forward Peter, 44, sympathised with the woman, he believes they should just organise a regular 'girls night'. He said: 'I get she wants to go out with the girls, that's fine, go to a pub, go to a restaurant, you can't go to a singles night.' Abbey queried 'what's the difference' between going to a singles night and a regular night on the town. To which Peter replied: 'If I said to you, my mate is single and he's not got a girlfriend, so I'm just going to go to this singles night tonight to help him out, how would you feel?' ‌ Abbey said: 'I'd be like grow up. If you're confident enough in your relationship and secure in your relationship then your head won't be turned.' Husband Peter shot back saying Abbey 'isn't confident enough in their relationship' if she wouldn't let him go. She said: 'I'm not, I'm absolutely not, I wouldn't trust you as far as I could throw you. 'You're under lock and key, mister. I would help my friend out, maybe not a singles night then.' ‌ Peter and Abbey met in Liverpool in 2005. Recalling how they met during an interview on Good Morning Britain, Abbey said: 'When we first met, he begged me for my number and then I went to the loo or the bar, and when I came back, he was talking to another girl. I was like, 'How dare you?'' Peter went on to say he was 'just talking' to the other girl but Abbey asked for her number back. He added: 'I said, 'You can't give someone your number and then take it back'.' Despite the initial bump in the road, their relationship blossomed and the couple tied the knot on June 30, 2011. According to OK! , the family live in a 'magical' Surrey mansion complete with its own cinema room and a huge garden. The sprawling mansion regularly features on Abbey's social media feeds. Fans have seen glimpses of Peter working at his large wooden desk, complete with football trophy, as well as enjoying the property's outdoor swimming pool and wooden play area. They are said to have moved into the stunning property in 2016.

Jessica Simpson suffers embarrassing wardrobe malfunction during Today show concert

She entitled her memoir Open Book. But Jessica Simpson inadvertently revealed more than intended with fans during a performance on the Today show. Whilst hitting the stage, Jessica's taupe dress slipped down her cleavage - showing off her pink bra. Ordinarily the corset style dress would cover the entirety of her bust, but for whatever reason, the frock struggled to adhere to her dress. Video of the performance shows Jessica singing through the wardrobe mishap, either unaware of or not minding that accidental bra flash. Fortunately the newly-single star, 40, didn't let the embarrassing mishap ruin her day as she even cracked a joke about it with the Today show correspondents. 'How does it feel back on the stage, the first release in 15 years?' NBC News journalist Peter Alexander asked Simpson. 'It's insane! Of course, like I had a malfunction here,' she said, gesturing her hand beside her head, 'and everywhere, but it's ok! I think my boob's stayed in, so that's good!' she quipped. The wardrobe mishap wasn't Jessica's only head-turning moment during her Today appearance. Jessica also took a swipe at her dating history while sharing her list of relationship non-negotiables during an interview with host Jenna Bush Hager. When asked what she is looking for in her next partner, the singer and entrepreneur shared the criteria she's looking for in a man. 'My type of person is a one-of-a-kind,' she gushed. 'I don't have like, a look or anything like that. I just like for somebody to be individually who they are and exude confidence without the ego.' The performer, who split from Eric Johnson after 10 years of marriage earlier this year, explained she's had trouble finding someone self-assured, but not cocky. 'I feel like it's out there, and I don't need somebody to be supportive of me all the time,' the mother-of-three added. 'I feel like the independence I have right now, if I can have that and give it to someone else, that would be cool.' Her comment about wanting 'confidence without the ego' seemed to point to her rocky relationship with first husband Nick Lachey. While writing about their split in her 2020 memoir, Open Book, she admitted: 'We really got crushed by the media and by ourselves.' 'I respect Nick very much. I was really young and my success hadn't really begun. He knew me as this young innocent 18-year-old that had never been introduced to the world in so many ways,' she explained. 'I went straight from my father to him. Nick's very smart. He was eight years older than me, but he was also young.' As documented on their reality show, Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica, the former couple struggled with his resentment of her career. 'We were not one of those couples that screamed at each other, let whatever fly out of our mouths, and then make mad, passionate love,' she added. 'We would yell at each other, and then he would go out of town and not answer his phone.' During her Today interview, Simpson also noted that she has no plans to walk down the aisle, but is 'very passionate' and has 'a lot to give.' Simpson also emphasized that whoever she dates next has to be 'a very good kisser.' 'See, that's like the most intimate thing. Grab my face and pull me in! Can you tell I need it?' the I Wanna Love You Forever hitmaker mused. Hager, 43, then assured Simpson that she would find her a match and one that could live up to her smooching standards. 'Even if it's just one night!' Simpson playfully shot back.
