Australian Reality Star Charged With Murder After Boyfriend's Headless Body Found
"It was a confronting scene for police and emergency services personnel as Julian's body had been dismembered. Julian's head had been removed during the dismemberment and, despite extensive searches, has not yet been located," South Australia Police said in a statement Friday.
Police believe he was killed around midnight on Tuesday, June 17.
A witness reported seeing smoke coming from the apartment and approached Chesser, who claimed she was doing nothing. She then took her dogs for a walk and locked the door. Police released surveillance footage showing a woman, believed to be Chesser, dressed in black and walking with three dogs, just hours after the alleged murder on June 17, around midnight.
Police are urging residents to review their surveillance or dashcam footage to aid in the ongoing investigation.
"I can only imagine, and I want you to imagine, the grief this news is causing Julian's family. Recovering Julian's head to return it to his family so they can have a peaceful outcome, have a funeral and lay him to rest is a really important aspect for us," Detective Superintendent Darren Fielke added.
She was taken into custody after police found her in a catatonic and unresponsive state in the backyard of the crime scene, according to court documents. Mr Fielke said there was no obvious motive at this stage, and Chesser was cooperative at the time of the arrest, the ABC reported.
A spokesperson for Mr Story's family said they were "navigating an unimaginable loss" as they thanked police and first responders for their 'compassion and professionalism during this devastating time".
"We are also deeply grateful to our family and friends and this extraordinary community, whose kindness and support have helped carry us through. Your prayers, presence, and quiet strength mean more than words can say," the statement added.
Chesser was the runner-up on the 2010 season of Beauty and the Geek and later modelled for men's magazines including Playboy, Ralph and FHM.
She remains in custody under a mental health detention order and due to appear in court again in December.

1,200 To Be Tested As Australian Childcare Worker Charged With Sexual Abuse
Australian health authorities are urging around 1,200 children in the state of Victoria to be tested for infectious diseases after police charged a childcare worker with dozens of sexual abuse offences. Police said on Tuesday that Joshua Brown, a 26-year-old Melbourne man, had been arrested and charged in May with more than 70 offences relating to eight alleged victims. The alleged victims were aged between five months and two years of age and attended Creative Garden Early Learning Centre between April 2022 and January 2023. Police said they had launched a significant investigation since Brown's arrest. Sex crime squad detectives concluded Brown had worked at 20 Melbourne childcare centres between January 2017 and May 2025, and were also investigating allegations of offending at a second childcare centre in Melbourne's north. Victoria's chief health officer, Christian McGrath, said 2,600 families had been contacted by authorities, with 1,200 children recommended to undergo testing for infectious diseases. "This is another distressing element to the situation, and we're taking this approach as a precaution," McGrath told a news conference. Delhi court summons Harsatinder Pal Singh Hayer in Rs 48,000 cr Ponzi case
New Delhi: A Delhi court has summoned Harsatinder Pal Singh Hayer, son-in-law of the late Pearls Group chairperson Nirmal Singh Bhangoo, in connection with a money laundering probe linked to an alleged Rs 48,000 crore Ponzi scheme that defrauded numerous investors. Bhangoo passed away in Aug 2024. Special Judge Jagdish Kumar ordered Hayer to appear before the court on July 18, 2025. "I have carefully examined the documents and witness statements. Prima facie, there is sufficient material on record against Harsatinder Pal Singh Hayer and MBD Housing Complex Private Limited for the offence of money laundering. Let them be summoned for July 18, 2025," the judge stated. Hayer was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in March and is currently in judicial custody. On June 9, the court found prima facie evidence against him. The ongoing money laundering investigation, dating back to 2015, stems from a CBI FIR against Pearls Agrotech Corporation Limited ( PACL ), PGF Limited, Bhangoo, and others for running fraudulent investment schemes to deceive investors.
