Sam left in shock in Corrie as Lily makes unexpected revelation that floors him

Metroa day ago
A horrific incident at Coronation Street's Weatherfield High School recently left some of the pupils deeply traumatised.
Mick Michaelis (Joe Layton) broke out of prison and headed to the school to get his daughter Joanie (Savanna Pennington), who was there for an open day.
Mick is, of course, well known in the local area, initially for being a trouble-making neighbour but more recently for being a murderer. He killed beloved local resident and police officer Craig Tinker (Colson Smith) in cold blood when Craig tried to arrest him.
So when he appeared at the school, his presence was terrifying. Lily Platt (now played by Grace Ashcroft-Gardner) spotted him in the locker room and fled for the safety of a classroom.
Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan) then saw Mick walking towards him and panicked. He turned to the room where Lily had just gone, but the door was locked and a frantic Sam couldn't get in.
For Sam it must have also made him think of his mum, Natasha Blakeman (Rachel Leskovac), who was shot by Harvey Gaskell (Will Mellor) after he escaped from prison.
Following the ordeal, Nick (Ben Price) tried to talk to Sam about what happened, but Sam wasn't very forthcoming. He did describe how Lily had hidden in the classroom and wouldn't let him in, something that angered Nick and sent him off to have it out with Lily's father, David (Jack P Shepherd).
Toyah (Georgia Taylor) and Nick hoped that Sam would easily get over his ordeal at the school, but that seemed not to be the case as Sam worriedly searched the internet for any mentions of Mick, desperate to know he was safely in custody. More Trending
In upcoming episodes it's Audrey (Sue Nicholls)'s birthday, and the Platts all gather at the bistro for a celebration tea. Sam, however, can't cope and hides away in the office in a state of panic.

Realising that Sam has been deeply disturbed by the experience of being shut out of the classroom unable to escape from Mick, David and Shona (Julia Goulding) tell Lily that she owes Sam an apology for locking him out of the classroom.
So Lily agrees to have a chat with Sam – but what she says doesn't help matters at all. She tells him that she locked him out of the classroom on purpose. Sam is understandably angry with her and the pair are soon arguing furiously.

Emmerdale's Cain vows to kill Nate's killer as John reels

Nate Robinson's (Jurell Carter) funeral in tonight's episode of Emmerdale left Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) making an important statement to his family. Yesterday, Cain confronted Tracy Shankley (Amy Walsh) again and told her that the Dingles will be at the funeral tomorrow, whether she likes it or not. The showdown between the Dingles and the rest of Nate's relatives featured the family walking through Main Street with Sam Dingle (James Hooton) banging a drum. Outside the church, Cain and Tracy began arguing again but it was stopped by John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth). He wanted Cain and Tracy to call a truce, but it was clear he also wanted them to stop because his guilt was becoming overwhelming. John had to completely ignore his guilt again a moment later, as Tracy asked him to read her eulogy. With DS Walsh present and it now village gossip that Tracy was entitled to Nate's life insurance, she feared reading the eulogy would fuel the theory that she killed Nate for cash. John stood up but with eyes on him, the pressure was on. Instead of reading Tracy's speech, he spoke from the heart himself, noting that Nate was a good man, and wouldn't want Tracy and Cain constantly fighting. At the wake, as Nate's family gathered in the pub, Cain stayed at the graveside for a moment to himself. He was then joined by Tracy, who admitted in an emotional conversation that she knows Cain didn't kill Nate. And Cain then admitted the same – he knows Tracy didn't murder Nate either. It was a huge moment for the two characters, who hugged to comfort each other over the grief. Want to be the first to hear shocking EastEnders spoilers? Who's leaving Coronation Street? After finding some common ground, Tracy and Cain returned to the pub with the conclusion that they can figure out who killed Nate, if they both work together. More Trending As residents started to depart the pub, John and Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) discovered Cain and Tracy's new plan. Cain concluded that he may have let Nate down while he was alive, but he's not going to do the same thing anymore. He said that he will find who murdered Nate and when he does, he'll kill them. And suffice to say John was very afraid. ITV bosses reveal future of The Assembly and fans will be thrilled

The Assembly became an instant hit with fans after its first series but ITV bosses have already made up their minds on its future Jade Thirwall says she 'resents' being asked about pregnancy ITV has confirmed the future of The Assembly, and it's a cause for celebration among fans. ‌ The hit series is officially returning for an extended second series following its stellar reception from audiences and critics alike. ‌ Dubbed by enthusiasts as "the best interview show", the first series captivated viewers with high-profile guests like Little Mix's Jade Thirlwall, EastEnders icon Danny Dyer, Doctor Who's David Tennant, and Sky Sports' Gary Lineker, who all bravely endured a no-holds-barred "ask me anything" interview format. ‌ A remarkable panel of autistic or neurodivergent interviewers, who won over the hearts of the nation, will be back to challenge a fresh line-up of celebrities with their unfiltered and candid questions. ITV has made it clear that the ethos of season two will remain unchanged; there are no forbidden questions and no taboo topics. ‌ While the identities of the six new celebrities who will appear in the upcoming season remain under wraps, and an official release date has yet to be announced, one thing is certain—viewers can look forward to an extra episode. The Mirror reports that this special instalment, The Assembly: Unseen, promises to reveal all the intriguing snippets from the celebrity interviews that didn't make the initial cut. Discussing the eagerly anticipated return of the show, ITV's Director of Entertainment and Daytime Commissioning, Katie Rawcliffe, expressed: "This really is ITV entertainment at its best: warm, funny, revealing and just that little bit mischievous." ‌ She further added: "We've got lots of ideas about which famous faces will join for series 2 and we're eager to see what we'll learn from the fantastic questions The Assembly will have." David Smyth, Entertainment Commissioning Editor at ITV, also shared his enthusiasm: "The response to series 1 was thrilling and completely deserved for this fantastic cast and crew. There was no doubt in my mind that we needed to do more. I can't wait to see what questions The Assembly will put to our next group of bold celebrities and what their responses will be.." ‌ In the first series, an emotional moment unfolded when Jade Thirlwall, formerly of Little Mix, confessed she felt like she had "sold her soul" in pursuit of her music career. The endearing team of interviewers, who are either autistic or have learning disabilities, asked the singer a poignant question: if she ever felt as though she had "sold her soul" to achieve stardom. Clearly taken aback by the depth of the question, she replied: "You've trumped me. Maybe a little bit in the beginning. I was so young, and I just signed on the dotted line. "But as the years have gone by, I've learned more and more about the industry. I've been collecting - a bit like [Marvel superhero] Thanos with the stones - I've been collecting parts of my soul back as I've gained more creative freedom." It is due to air on ITV1, ITVX, STV and STV Player in 2026.
