The Traitors India prize money: How much did Uorfi & Nikita win in finale?

Season 1 of The Traitors India, hosted by Karan Johar, has officially concluded. The intense psychological reality show ended with Uorfi Javed and Nikita Luther being crowned the joint winners after a gripping final episode that saw the elimination of fellow innocent Sudhanshu Pandey, alongside traitors Harsh Gujral and Purav Jha.
The finale kicked off with the elimination of Apoorva Mukhija, popularly known as The Rebel Kid. Soon after, Harsh and Purav orchestrated the 'murder' of Jasmin Bhasin within the game.
The final five contestants included Uorfi, Nikita, Sudhanshu, Purav, and Harsh. A turning point came when Uorfi overheard a secret conversation between Purav and Harsh, which helped her accurately identify the remaining traitors.
In the climactic moments, Urfi and Nikita placed their trust in each other and emerged as the last two standing. Uorfi, proud to have won as an innocent, called her victory a fitting response to those who had underestimated her. Nikita, who was previously eliminated on Day 1 but returned to the game, expressed her joy at being named co-winner. The duo celebrated their shared triumph in style.
The series followed a group of contestants tasked with identifying the traitors hiding among them, while avoiding elimination themselves. The innocents worked together to spot the traitors before being 'murdered' within the structure of the game.
Originally developed in the Netherlands, The Traitors has seen successful adaptations in the US and UK. The Indian edition featured 20 contestants, including celebrities like Jasmin Bhasin, Karan Kundrra, Jannat Zubair, Maheep Kapoor, and Ashish Vidyarthi.
Prize money breakdown: ₹70 Lakh jackpot split between winners

Salman Khan's next movie Battle of Galwan brings 2020 border clash to big screen. Check plot, cast and all you need to know

Bollywood star Salman Khan has officially announced his next film Battle of Galwan , a patriotic war drama inspired by the 2020 military clash between Indian and Chinese troops in Ladakh's Galwan Valley. The film, directed by Apoorva Lakhia and co-starring Chitrangda Singh, revisits one of India's most severe border conflicts in recent history, notable for being fought without the use of firearms. First Look Creates Buzz Salman Khan took to Instagram to share a striking motion poster from the film, which immediately created a stir online. In the poster, Khan appears bloodied and battle-worn, gripping a wooden stick wrapped in barbed wire, his face bearing cuts and a fierce moustache. The caption included the words: 'Over 15,000 ft. above sea level, India fought its most brutal battle without firing a single bullet.' The visual, accompanied by a tense soundtrack, has been praised for its gritty representation of combat and patriotic fervour. Fans flooded social media with reactions like 'Aa gaya toofaan' and 'Box office tabahi loading,' expressing excitement over the actor's intense new role. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Top 7 All-Inclusive Destinations That Accept Credit Card Rewards Liseer Learn More Undo Depicting the Real Battle The film draws from the real-life events of June 15, 2020, when Indian and Chinese soldiers clashed in the Galwan Valley—a strategically significant region along the Line of Actual Control (LAC). Firearms were not used due to prior agreements, and the confrontation involved hand-to-hand combat using makeshift weapons like sticks and stones. According to official reports, the conflict led to the death of 20 Indian soldiers, including Colonel B Santosh Babu, who is reportedly the role Salman Khan will portray. Battle of Galwan is helmed by Apoorva Lakhia, known for action-driven films like Shootout at Lokhandwala and Haseena Parkar. The project is set to begin filming in Ladakh in July, with a tentative wrap scheduled for November. The production aims for a 2025 release. Background of the Galwan Valley Clash The Galwan incident marked the first combat fatalities between India and China in over four decades. The immediate trigger was reported to be China's objection to India's road construction activities in the region, particularly the extension of a road linking the Darbuk-Shyok-Daulat Beg Oldi axis to an airbase. The clash escalated tensions significantly, prompting multiple rounds of high-level diplomatic and military negotiations, though a full resolution has yet to be reached. Salman Khan's Physical Transformation Salman Khan, known for his commitment to physical roles, showcased a significantly leaner and more rugged appearance in the film's teaser. He had earlier shared a social media post hinting at this transformation, writing about the importance of hard work and perseverance. His look for Battle of Galwan has been widely appreciated as a departure from his recent on-screen appearances. Following the underwhelming box office response of Sikandar, Battle of Galwan marks a pivotal return for Khan. He also has sequels to Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Kick, and Andaz Apna Apna in development, along with a rumoured collaboration with Sanjay Dutt for an action film titled Ganga Ram, and a possible reunion with Sooraj Barjatya for a family-oriented drama.

Metro In Dino Day 1 India Box Office: Anurag Basu's rom-com takes a low start; Nets Rs 3.40 crore on opening Friday

Metro... In Dino, directed by Anurag Basu and starring Ali Fazal, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Nina Gupta, Anupam Kher, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sen Sharma and others, has taken a slow start at the Indian box office, on its opening day. The Anurag Basu directorial has only been able to manage Rs 3.25-3.50 crore net and that's certainly not the kind of number you expect from a sequel to a cult film. The Day Wise India Net Collections Of Dino Are As Under Dino Will Require A 100 Percent Growth On Saturday, After A Low Rs 3.40 Crore Net Start In India, To Make A Case Metro has a lot of work to do, with the low opening it has registered. A 100 percent Saturday growth has become more of a necessity than a luxury, for the movie. It is with this kind of a jump that the film can see a decent level hold on Monday, and then sustain for a couple of weeks in theatres. The movie is a work of passion and that's the reason that it has gone well over budget. With a little tighter budgeting, the pressure on the movie's theatrical performance could have been much lesser than what it is. Dino Requires Atleast Rs 75 Crore Gross Worldwide To Breakeven With recoveries of Rs 70 crore from non-theatrical revenue sources, against a budget of Rs 100 crore, Dino needs atleast a Rs 30 crore global share in order to ensure that no one really loses money on the movie, even if no one makes much money either. A Rs 75 crore worldwide total is necessary for a Rs 30 crore worldwide share, and that looks difficult unless the word of mouth really kicks in for this one. Anurag Basu Has His Next Release After Dino Already Stacked Anurag Basu has his next release already stacked. Kartik Aaryan and Sreeleela's untitled next is nearing completion. It was announced for Diwali 2025, but it is unclear if the film will make the cut. Dino In Theatres
