WWE Unreal OTT release date: When and where to watch the controversial documentary series narrated by Triple H

Time of Indiaa day ago
WWE Unreal OTT release date: WWE Unreal, one of the most eagerly awaited shows of the year, is almost upon us. The documentary series, which features top names from the Samford-based promotion, is set to premiere on Netflix on July 29. It will give fans a closer look at what happens behind the scenes in the company by taking them into the 'writers' room'.
WWE Unreal: Who is involved?
Triple H, the company's Chief Content Officer, will be the centre of attention of this documentary. The show will highlight The Game's interactions with writers and talent ahead of WrestleMania 41. It will also highlight his plans for advancing major storylines on the road to 'The Showcase of the Immortals'. Moreover, Triple H will serve as the narrator of the series.
In the announcement teaser, he was seen telling Jey Uso that WWE wanted to push him heavily. This suggests that the 'Yeet Master', who beat Gunther for the World Heavyweight title at WrestleMania 41, will be part of the Show. The likes of Cody Rhodes, CM Punk and Rhea Ripley too will make appearances in WWE Unreal. Additionally, Xavier Woods and Bianca Belair will be part of WWE Unreal.
WWE Unreal consists of five 50-minute episodes. They are titled New Era', 'Push', 'Worth the Wait', 'Heel Turn', and 'WrestleMania'.
WWE Unreal has landed in a controversy, here's why
Kayfabe (the art of projecting pro wrestling as a legit sport and not a scripted one) has long been the backbone of the industry. However, WWE Unreal shatters the illusion by taking the audience into the writers' room. This hasn't gone down well with key figures in the business. Jake 'The Snake' Roberts recently described WWE Unreal as a 'foolish' endevour,
'I think it's foolish. I don't think that product will ever warrant enough money being made for the damage that it'll do. So that's just my own thoughts,' he said on his Snake Pit Podcast
However, former WWE star Ryback defended it and said it would help fans and dirt sheets understand the business. 'I truly believe WWE: Unreal is one of the best things for wrestling and wrestlers. This is physical acting, the hardest thing in the world. We play roles and it takes all of us. No one really wins or loses. It's time fans and dirt sheets stop the hate and understand what this is,' read a part of this post on X (formerly known as Twitter)
