New MagicOS 9 version brings the Phantom Engine to the Magic6 series for stable gaming
The Phantom Engine was introduced with the Honor GT models. It predicts heavy frames – ones that will take more time to render – and allocates more resources to rendering them. This helps reduce stutter, but it may increase power consumption and heat. The Phantom Engine comes to the Honor Magic6 series
The Phantom Engine has support for Genshin Impact, Honor of Kings, Honkai: Star Rail, Zenless Zone Zero and others.
The change log for version 175 also includes other features. AI helps remove reflections and wrinkles in photos. You can set alarms for a specific time and date in a floating window. Screen recording and screenshots have been optimized. There is additional customization for the lockscreen too. You can block calls from regional numbers, which can help avoid spam calls.

In April, there was the MagicOS 9.0.0.169 update, which brought camera improvements, support for Android Auto, new Wi-Fi features and more.

Samsung Galaxy S25 FE to have a flagship display
Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S25 FE will have a flagship display feature, unlike its predecessor from last year. According to a new report out of Samsung's home of South Korea, the company has decided to use a flexible OLED panel for the S25 FE. These are more expensive than rigid OLED panels, and thus are generally only used in flagship smartphones. Even though the S25 FE doesn't fit that bill, Samsung has apparently decided to give it this flagship feature in order to better help differentiate it from the likes of the Galaxy A series. The flexible OLED panels can be bent and thus allow for symmetrical bezels on all sides of the screen too, though it's unclear if Samsung will go this route. Samsung is holding its next Unpacked event on Wednesday, where it's widely expected to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Flip7, along with the Galaxy Watch8 and Watch8 Classic. Now, these two watches have been leaked in a couple of official-looking promo images. As you can see, they confirm the oft-rumored switch to a squircle case design for both the Watch8 and Watch8 Classic, getting them in line with what the Galaxy Watch Ultra started last year. As with the Ultra, the screens are still circular, despite the case shape. The bezel is raised and features grooves for better maneuverability, as you can see. The Watch8 has two buttons on the right side, which is the only one we can see, while the Classic model has a third one in between. According to previous rumors, the Watch8 family will be powered by Samsung's Exynos W1000 chipset, just like the Watch7 series.
