Colts RB Salvon Ahmed carted off practice field
The severity of the injury was not immediately known for Ahmed, who was injured after being dragged down from behind by undrafted safety Trey Washington.
Practice immediately was stopped after the tackle as trainers rushed to Ahmed. They placed his leg in an air cast while Washington could be seen being consoled by his teammates.
Ahmed, 26, last played in an NFL game in 2023. He spent last season on the practice squads of the Denver Broncos and Colts.
Ahmed has 163 carries for 593 yards and five touchdowns in 38 career games (four starts) for the Miami Dolphins.

August 6 - Freddy Peralta became the first National League player to reach 13 wins on Tuesday when he pitched the visiting Milwaukee Brewers to a 7-2 win over the Atlanta Braves, extending their winning streak to five games. The Brewers have won 11 of their last 12 road games and hold a 3-2 lead over the Braves in the season series. The veteran right-hander battled through five innings and threw 108 pitches, matching his season high. Peralta (13-5) allowed one run on four hits, three walks and seven strikeouts. Black Cap O'Rourke out of second Zimbabwe test with back injury
Aug 6 (Reuters) - Black Caps paceman Will O'Rourke has been ruled out of the second test against Zimbabwe by a back injury and will return to New Zealand for treatment, the team said on Wednesday. O'Rourke pulled up injured after taking 3-28 in the second innings of last week's first test in Bulawayo to help the tourists to a victory by nine wickets. Uncapped left-arm seamer Ben Lister was already in Zimbabwe as injury cover and will remain with the squad for the remainder of the tour. The second and final test starts at the same Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo on Thursday.
