
30 medical camps scheduled till December under Nalam Kakkum Stalin scheme in Dharmapuri
The medical camps began here post Chief Minister M.K. Stalin's inauguration via video conference.
These camps will screen people for all types of diseases and will provide 17 types of specialised medical treatments. Chief Minister's comprehensive medical insurance card and disability certificate for the differently-abled will also be issued. ABHA card (Ayushman Bharat Health Account) will be created for all persons coming to the camps for screening, according to the Minister.
The camps are equipped with doctors with experience and expertise in the treatment. Mr. Paneerselvam also handed over CMCIS cards to five beneficiaries in the camp.

PCMC organise free health check-up camp in Ravet
To bring healthcare closer to residents and raise awareness about maternal and child health, the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) continues to conduct regular 'Urban Health and Nutrition Day' activities. As part of the initiative, a one-day free health check-up and treatment camp was held on Monday at the Tirthaswaroop Senior Citizens' Association in Ravet. Jointly organised by PCMC's Medical Department and Talera Hospital, the camp served over 300 citizens, offering a range of diagnostic tests and medical services, according to officials. PCMC's medical department has announced that similar free health camps will soon be conducted under UHND at New Akurdi Hospital, Yashwantrao Chavan Memorial Hospital, New Bhosari Hospital, Yamunanagar Hospital, New Jijamata Hospital, Sangvi Hospital, and New Thergaon Hospital. In addition, services like antenatal check-ups, chest X-rays, sputum tests, routine immunisations, and specialist consultations in paediatrics, gynaecology, ophthalmology, ENT, and dentistry were also offered. Besides, free medicines were distributed, and ABHA and Ayushman Bharat card registrations were facilitated on-site, they said. PCMC's medical department has announced that similar free health camps will soon be conducted under UHND at New Akurdi Hospital, Yashwantrao Chavan Memorial Hospital, New Bhosari Hospital, Yamunanagar Hospital, New Jijamata Hospital, Sangvi Hospital, and New Thergaon Hospital. Citizens are encouraged to attend in large numbers and make the most of this initiative. Dr Laxman Gophane, medical officer of Health, PCMC, said, 'Timely diagnosis and preventive care habits must be developed among citizens. These health camps provide not just screenings, but also expert consultations, medicines, and health education under one roof.'

No high incidence of cancer in Erode: Minister S Muthusamy
ERODE/TIRUPPUR: Tamil Nadu Housing and Urban Development Minister S Muthusamy on Saturday allayed fears on the incidence of cancer in Erode district. "In the last one and a half years, three lakh people were invited for cancer screening in the district and one-and-a-half lakh people were screened for the disease. Of these, 32 people have been diagnosed with cancer and are receiving treatment," he stated while speaking to reporters in Erode. The incidence of cancer is not high in Erode, he added. The minister also refuted Opposition Leader Edappadi K Palaniswami's allegation that 2,000 Amma mini-clinics were closed under the DMK regime. Referring to the alleged kidney sale racket in Namakkal, Muthusamy said: "The state government is identifying and taking appropriate action on kidney sales. Action is being taken against the hospitals involved. Investigations are underway against those hospitals," he said. Lauding the new state health scheme 'Nalan Kakkum Stalin', Muthusamy said 45 camps are planned In Erode district. Earlier, the Minister launched the Nalam Kakkum Stalin scheme at the Government Higher Secondary School in Vellode. Collector S Kandasamy, MLA VC Chandhirakumar and others were present. In Tiruppur, ministers Saminathan and N Kayalvizhi Selvaraj launched the scheme at Punitha Amala Annai Girls Higher Secondary School in Vellakovil. District Collector Manish Naranaware and other officials were present.

‘Nalam Kaakkum Stalin' scheme launched in Dindigul, Ramanathapuram
Chief Minister M.K. Stalin inaugurated medical camps under Nalam Kaakkum Stalin scheme through video conferencing in Dindigul and Ramanathapuram districts on Saturday. In Dindigul district, Rural Development Minister I. Periyasamy inaugurated the medical camp in Dindigul in the presence of Dindigul Collector S. Saravanan, Palani MLA I.P. Senthil Kumar, Vedasandur MLA S. Gandhirajan and Mayor J. Ilamathi. According to the press release, in Dindigul district, a total of 45 medical camps in the 15 blocks will be conducted every Saturday. In Ramanathapuram district the medical camp was inaugurated in Mandapam. Ramanathapuram Collector Simranjeet Singh Kahlon, Ramanathapuram MLA Katharbatcha Muthuramalingam, Paramakudi MLA S. Murugesan, Tiruvadanai MLA R. M. Karumanickam and others were present. At the medical camps, the people could get checked for blood pressure, diabetes, and also get screened for early stages of cancer. They could receive an echogram, X-ray, ECG, and an ultrasound scan. Specialists from various departments would participate in the medical camps. Treatment for ENT, dental, psychiatry, physiotherapy, cardiology, skin, and consultation for general surgeries would also be provided. Elaborate arrangements had been made to clinically screen the visitors and give certificates to the differently abled persons and an identity card for the Chief Minister's Comprehensive Health Insurance Scheme. The medical camps will be held every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., according to the press release.
