Actor Shine Tom Chacko's father CP Chacko (73), who died in a road accident on Friday, was laid to rest on Monday (June 9). Both Shine and his 68-year-old mother Mariya, who sustained injuries in the mishap, arrived at their home in Mundur, Thrissur district, directly from the hospital to attend the funeral. As they approached Chacko's body, both Shine and Mariya broke down in tears, casting an even deeper pall of gloom over the gathering.
Shine couldn't hold back his emotions as he gave a final kiss to his father, who had stood by him through every crisis. In videos that have surfaced online, he is seen weeping while hugging his brother, Jo John. Shine sustained minor fractures below his left shoulder and on his spine. Doctors are scheduled to perform surgery on him following the funeral.
Mariya, who suffered a serious hip injury in the accident, was brought to their Mundur home on a stretcher. She was informed of Chacko's demise only on Monday morning. Shine's sisters, Sumi and Riya, also arrived from New Zealand to attend their father's last rites. After the rituals at home, the funeral was held at the Mundur Parikarmala Matha Church cemetery. Mariya, too, is reportedly scheduled to undergo surgery following the funeral.
CP Chacko lost his life in a car accident in Dharmapuri near Salem, Tamil Nadu, while travelling with his family. They were en route to Bengaluru for Shine Tom Chacko's treatment when a lorry coming from the opposite direction collided with their car. CP Chacko died on the spot, while Shine, Mariya, Jo and their driver Aneesh were rushed to a nearby hospital.

CP Chacko was a constant source of inspiration and support for Shine Tom Chacko, playing a crucial role in helping him pursue his dreams. It was through CP Chacko's connection with renowned director Kamal that Shine entered the film industry. He worked as an assistant to Kamal for several years before making his acting debut in the filmmaker's Gaddama (2011). Even when Shine found himself embroiled in controversies, his father stood firmly by his side. Some of their recent joint interviews had garnered considerable public attention.
Shine was last seen in the Malayalam film Alappuzha Gymkhana, directed by Khalid Rahman and featuring Naslen, as well as in Adhik Ravichandran's Ajith Kumar-starrer Good Bad Ugly. Both films hit the screens on April 10.

This Superstar Romanced 3 Sisters On-Screen, All Films Were Major Hits

In the world of cinema, it's not uncommon to see siblings from the same family shine as actors and actresses. Likewise, several sisters have carved out successful careers as leading ladies. However, what might surprise film lovers is that one legendary actor has shared screen space with three heroines from the same family, a rare feat in the industry. Let's uncover who this superstar is and who the glamorous sisters in the photo are. All three were prominent lead actresses at different points in time. Among them, Nagma stood out for her striking looks and emotive performances. She starred opposite several top actors, capturing audiences' attention throughout her career. Eventually, she stepped away from the limelight and chose to remain unmarried. Her sister, Jyothika, became a beloved name through her carefully selected roles and remains active today in her second innings, appearing in a variety of characters across Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Hindi films. The other sister, Roshni, also ventured into films, albeit briefly. What's truly remarkable is that one superstar has acted with all three sisters and continues to play lead roles even today. He's none other than Tollywood megastar Chiranjeevi. Chiranjeevi has shared the screen with Nagma, Jyothika, and Roshini in many blockbuster films. With Nagma, he appeared in hits like Gharana Mogudu (1992), Mugguru Monagallu (1994) and Rikshavodu (1995). It's a rare cinematic connection that makes Chiranjeevi the only actor to have romanced all three sisters in different films. Though Chiranjeevi once delivered one box-office hit after another, his recent releases have seen mixed results. That said, all eyes are now on his upcoming film, Vishwambhara, which is currently in production. Directed by Vasishtha, the film includes a high-octane sequence where Chiranjeevi reportedly takes on six opponents at once, brought to life with cutting-edge VFX technology. Trisha Krishnan plays the female lead, with MM Keeravani composing the music.
