EastEnders' Natalie Cassidy 'bricking it' as she admits weakness ahead of new TV show
Former EastEnders star Natalie Cassidy, whose character Sonia Fowler left Walford in April, is among the contestants on the new series of Cooking with the Stars Former EastEnders cast member Natalie Cassidy has been "bricking it" over her latest TV project, which is scheduled to launch later this weekend. The actor has teased that she pushed herself out of her comfort zone for the experience. Natalie, 42, announced earlier that year that she would be leaving the BBC soap opera. Her character Sonia Fowler, who first appeared in 1993, then left Walford in scenes that aired back in April, with her seen embarking on a new life abroad with her two children and her sister Bianca Jackson. Following her departure, it was revealed that Natalie will appear on the new series of ITV 's Cooking with the Stars and she's spoken about feeling nervous ahead of the launch. It comes after Channel 4 breaks silence after Gogglebox couple suddenly dumped from show. Natalie, who has been mentored by professional chef Tony Singh for the show, said that she "loves" cooking at home. The actor however spoke to WhatToWatch recently about how the experience differed from that. She recalled having used vegetable stock instead of vegetable oil while practising at home. Natalie continued by telling the outlet: "Usually I'm cooking with a glass of wine with the radio on, leisurely doing a bit of washing and talking to the kids, but this is a completely different ball game." Natalie said: "You have a recipe and you don't have any time to think about it at all." Teasing over one of Sonia's job on EastEnders, she said: "This is not the cafe on Albert Square, I need to produce high-end grub and I'm bricking it!" She also shared that she signed up for the show to expand her culinary abilities, revealing that her "staples" include roast dinners and spaghetti. Natalie said they are "good basics" but wanted to learn more about herbs, spices and different cultures through the competition show. The former soap star said that she wanted to "impress" her two children in the kitchen. Natalie teased that she also hoped to learn where the chefs "go to eat," saying that she wants to get a list of restaurants and "hidden gems". Whilst speaking to the outlet, Natalie revealed her strengths and weaknesses when it comes to the competition element of Cooking with the Stars. The show sees celebrities go head-to-head in the kitchen before being judged. Natalie said that being "organised" is among her strengths. She shared her dislike for "lateness," adding that she's "very aware of time" which she hoped would prove beneficial on the show when it comes to timings over her cooking. She then admitted that her weakness is "the chopping side of things". Natalie told the outlet that loved ones will often offer to take over chopping items if next to her in the kitchen because the actor is an "Awkward Annie".

EastEnders icon Rita Simons takes drastic action after getting 'too many' facial fillers
Former EastEnders actress Rita Simons has opened up about dissolving her facial fillers after feeling she had overused them and sharing her regret Rita Simons has revealed she is having her facial fillers dissolved. The actress, known for her role as Roxy Mitchell on EastEnders and currently starring in Hollyoaks, admitted on Instagram that she felt she had gone too far with cosmetic enhancements. The 47-year-old soap star shared that she is working with Dr Stephen Hennessy, a facial aesthetics expert, to remove filler that had accumulated over time. 'I'm not one to pretend I don't have a little tweakage,' Simons wrote. "But I've really regretted having fillers over the years. It comes after the former EastEnders actress announced her engagement in a collection of loved-up snaps. "They have built up over time and I was starting to resemble a pillow. So lovely Dr Hennessy started dissolving them last week and today we've done the last bit," she said of her latest cosmetic procedure. Rita added that while she isn't against fillers, she has learned the importance of moderation. 'I'm not adverse to fillers but I've definitely learnt you need to be super careful about overdoing it,' she said. The much-loved soap also preempted criticism with a message for those who might say she doesn't need any cosmetic work. 'FYI in advance for the 'you don't need it' comments… I know! That's why it's going." Rita rose to fame playing Roxy Mitchell in EastEnders alongside Samantha Womack's Ronnie Mitchell. The sisters' storylines were iconic, and their characters were dramatically killed off in 2017. Since then, Rita has joined the cast of Hollyoaks as Marie Fielding, mother to Joel Dexter, Abe Fielding, and Arlo Fielding. Her character has been involved in several major storylines, including a brief affair with longtime fan-favourite Tony Hutchinson. Back in January, Rita announced she's officially engaged to Ben Harlow. At the time, she took to social media to share happy snaps of the new engagement, with the caption: "….so this happened!" In the pictures, the dazzling ring could be seen placed on her finger as the two posed for snaps in the comfort of their own home. Of her romance, Rita previously said Ben is "the loveliest man on the planet" and that it's only because she's "so happy" now she can see what a "mess" she was. Before being in a relationship with Ben, she was married to Theo Silverston. However, she faced a huge hurdle when she split from him after 14 years together. The actress had been "growing apart" from the hairdresser and they decided to end their relationship after a period of separation. Unfortunately, the duo's split caused Rita to struggle with depression, insomnia and more. In the end, the cocktail of stress, pressure and heartbreak caused her to suffer a nervous breakdown. It's no surprise Rita described that period as "one of the worst times" of her life. In an interview with OK! Magazine, Rita explained: "I was physically ill every other week and I lost loads of weight. "Every night I would go on stage in the West End in Everybody's Talking About Jamie having just had some fraught conversation with Theo, and later on having just received legal letters. "And I would just cry, go on stage, come off, cry and respond. I also had terrible insomnia for about a year. When I'm unhappy, my sleep is the first thing to go and then the knock-on is the depression and anxiety." She is now planning her wedding with Ben after finding her happily ever after.

Emmerdale confirms new romance for 2 favourite characters
It seems a connection between Belle Dingle and Kammy Hadiq is 'on the cards' on the ITV soap, following suspicions from viewers over the last few weeks. Recently, many spotted Shebz Minah (who plays Kammy) posted a picture of him sitting on a sofa alongside Eden Taylor-Draper (Belle). The happy snap certainly got fans talking as one commented: ''Kammy and Belle?? Could this be a future relationship.' Another said: 'Omg, are they getting together on Emmerdale? If so, I saw it coming a mile away.' The rumoured on-screen romance was "announced" by the two cast members themselves, in a video posted on Emmerdale's social accounts. In the clip filmed for Yorkshire Day, Shebz and Eden were 'spilling the tea' on spoilers, stories and things 'they may not know about each other or the show'. As Eden pulled a rolled-up piece of paper from a teapot with a hidden message, Shebz responded: 'It's a big one this.' Eden continued: 'Spoiler – it's to do with me and you. 'A romance is on the cards for Kammy and Belle. 'How do you feel about that Shebz?' A post shared by Emmerdale (@emmerdale) Shebz revealed: 'It's been amazing, like the scenes we've had have been so fun. 'It's been a mixed bag because I think for Kammy and Belle, they go on like this journey and that. "And I think it's just nice to have like a bit of normality and mixed with a bit of banter. You get all these different feelings that happen during the scene. It's been really enjoyable. I'm not going to lie, I've really enjoyed it." Eden added: 'Stay tuned to see what's next.' Belle's last relationship saw the character physically and mentally abused by her husband Tom King, played by James Chase, before he was sent to prison. Which is why Emmerdale fans think Kammy is 'just what Belle needs' after 'Tom the sociopath'. Reacting to the video on the ITV's soap Reddit page, this person wrote: 'love kammy,he makes me laugh. I think they would be a fab couple.' Someone else commented: 'I am all for it ,just what Belle needs after Tom the sociopath!' One account said: 'Oh I think I love this! Belle needs someone fun and a bit carefree. Kant [Kammy] has an absolute heart of gold and he'll bring some much needed cheer to belles life."
