Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan burst crackers outside Rakesh Roshan's room during Karan Arjun shoot, recalls Ashok Saraf: ‘Kisi ko sataana ho toh…'

Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan delivered memorable performances in the iconic 1995 film Karan Arjun. In an earlier interview, director Rakesh Roshan had shared that the two actors often had a great time on set. Now, in a conversation with Radio Nasha Official, their co-star and veteran actor Ashok Saraf has confirmed this, adding that actor Johny Lever would occasionally join in on their pranks.
When the host asked if it was true that Shah Rukh and Salman used to burst crackers outside Rakesh Roshan's room, and fire with fake guns to tease people, Saraf replied, 'Yes yes. I never used to go wherever this was happening. Kisi ko sataana ho toh main door hu. But yes, both of them used to have a lot of fun.'
He added that his close friend and fellow actor Johny Lever was quick to join in, but he himself always kept a distance. 'Aur unke saath mein Johny Lever bhi mil jaata tha. Uske saath main bhi fir, masti nahi karta tha par hota tha.'

Earlier, in an interview with Radio Nasha, Rakesh Roshan had said, 'They would be outside my room shooting guns. I would be sleeping at night and I would hear guns going off, bottles flying. I would ask them, 'What are you doing?'' In the docu-drama The Roshans, Shah Rukh Khan addressed the same and revealed, 'Pinkie ji scolded me a lot. 'You are troubling Guddu (Rakesh) a lot. I didn't expect it from you.' Because, between Salman and me, I was slightly better behaved; at least on the face of it. I was like, 'I didn't do anything. It's all his (Salman) doing.' We were two young kids, really troubling a father figure, to be honest.'
Karan Arjun also features Kajol, Rakhee Gulzar, and Amrish Puri. The film recently completed 30 years since its release and, to mark the occasion, it was re-released in theatres.

‘Salman Khan was pressing a real knife to my throat, I started bleeding': Ashok Saraf recalls suffering a deep cut during Jaagruti shoot

Veteran actor Ashok Saraf, who is known for his comic roles, played a villain in Salman Khan starrer Jaagruti (1992). However, portraying a negative role wasn't a piece of cake as he had a near-death experience while shooting the film. In a recent interview, Saraf revealed that he got his throat cut during a scene, when Salman had put too much pressure holding a real knife. During a conversation with Radia Nasha Official, the actor recalled the incident and said, 'He was holding my throat with a knife and it was a real knife. Uski jo nok hoti hai vo kaat ke gayi aise… As soon as we started saying the dialogues, I tried to escape from his hands. Salman zor se daba rahe the and then I said, 'Dheere se dabaao, katt raha hai yahan par' (He was putting a lot of pressure with the knife, I asked him to dial it down). He added, 'He then asked me what he should do, maine bola ulta pakdo na. He said that the camera is facing towards us, dikh jaayega usme, then maine socha chhorro. We did the scene and when I saw later, there was a deep cut on my throat. Agar yahan ki nass katt jaati toh hum udhar hi…Main kabhi nahi bhoolunga (My nerve would have cut, I will never forget it). I am not sure if he (Salman) remembers this. Aise aadmi kisi ko yaad nahi rehte, bhool jaate hain.' Salman Khan, SRK Fired Fake Guns Outside Rakesh Roshan's Room During Karan Arjun: 'Both Of Them…'

Last Updated: Ashok Saraf reveals Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Johny Lever had fun pranking on Karan Arjun sets with firecrackers and fake guns. Before Karan Arjun became a '90s Bollywood classic, the film's set was a playground for some seriously chaotic fun. Veteran actor Ashok Saraf has shared a glimpse of the off-screen madness involving Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Johny Lever — and it involved fake guns and firecrackers! During a chat with Radio Nasha Official, Saraf confirmed that SRK and Salman kept things lively behind the scenes. When asked if the duo really fired fake guns and burst crackers outside director Rakesh Roshan's room, he said, 'Yes, yes. I never used to go wherever this was happening. Kisi ko sataana ho toh main door hu. But yes, both of them used to have a lot of fun." He added that Johny Lever often joined in on the mischief, but Saraf himself stayed on the sidelines. 'Aur unke saath mein Johny Lever bhi mil jaata tha. Uske saath main bhi fir, masti nahi karta tha par hota tha." The story lines up with what Rakesh Roshan previously shared on the same platform. The director recalled being woken up at night by 'guns going off" and 'bottles flying" near his room. Even Shah Rukh admitted to the chaos in the docu-series The Roshans, saying, 'Pinkie ji scolded me a lot. 'You are troubling Guddu (Rakesh) a lot. I didn't expect it from you.' Because, between Salman and me, I was slightly better behaved; at least on the face of it. I was like, 'I didn't do anything. It's all his (Salman) doing.' We were two young kids, really troubling a father figure, to be honest." Karan Arjun, which starred Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Kajol, Rakhee Gulzar, and Amrish Puri, recently completed 30 years and was re-released in theatres to mark the milestone. Karan Arjun is a 1995 Bollywood action-drama that follows the story of two brothers, Karan and Arjun, who are brutally killed by their greedy uncle Durjan Singh for inheriting their father's wealth. Their mother, Durga, prays to the goddess Kali for justice, and years later, her sons are reborn as Ajay and Vijay in different families, unaware of their past lives. As fate brings them back together, memories of their previous lives begin to resurface, leading to a powerful reunion and a mission to avenge their deaths and fulfill their mother's vow. Meet Shah Rukh Khan's heroine, who faced rejections for being 'too good-looking', now runs her own brand worth Rs 1000000000 crore, name is..., net worth is Rs... Becoming successful in the industry is not a piece of cake. One has to go through a lot of highs and lows to prove themselves in the competitive entertainment world. One such example is this actress, an outsider, who didn't have an easy start, considering she faced bizarre criticism in her struggling phase. Today, she has become one of the most prominent actresses with a successful skincare brand of her own. The outsider in Bollywood who shattered all odds is Kriti Sanon. The actor, who turned 33 on Sunday, was born and brought up in Delhi and relocated to Mumbai to try her luck in films. She once spoke about her lowest-phase, how she faced a lot of challenges in the aspiring actor phase. HT Digital quoted her, 'There were days when I was annoyed and irritated. On some days, I used to cry, because there was nothing to keep me busy. There were also times when I met a few people who told me that something was not right about me — someone told me, 'You're too good-looking. There has to be some sort of imperfection in you to look real on screen.' I think I did feel low, but at the same time, I did have people who believed in me a lot. That's what you need. I think that gave me a little more confidence.' Kriti Sanon made her Bollywood debut with Tiger Shroff in Heropanti (2014), and went on to star in Rohit Shetty's Dilwale , alongside Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Varun Dhawan. Over the years, she starred in multiple box office hits such as Bareilly Ki Barfi, Luka Chuppi, and Housefull 4. In 2021, she earned the prestigious National Film Award for her incredible performance in Mimi. Last year, she shone in her OTT debut Do Patti, starring alongside Kajol and Shaheer Sheikh. Kriti's nuanced portrayal of a character with grey shades earned her critical acclaim. Apart from films, Kriti also ventured into entrepreneurial world. The National-Award winning actress launched her own skin-care brand, Hyphen, in 2023. Being a 'skin care nerd,' she co-founded the beauty brand with PEP Technologies, the company known for famous brand mCaffeine. According to Forbes, Hyphen generated Rs 100 crore revenue in its initial first years, becoming a tough competition to other celebrity brands' like Katrina Kaif's Kay Beauty, Mira Rajput's Akind and others. According to multiple reports, Kriti Sanon purchased a 2,000 sq ft plot in Alibaug last year, as a smart investment in real-estate. She resides in a lavish apartment in Sandhu Palace, located in Mumbai's posh area, Bandra. She reportedly pay monthly rent of Rs 17 lakh, which nearly cost her Rs 2 crore annually. Her estimated net worth according to reports is around Rs 82 crore.
