IndiGo debuts direct Mumbai-Amsterdam flights: Eyes leisure, business & student travel; check flight schedule

has launched direct flight services between Mumbai and Amsterdam. The new route, announced on Wednesday, marks the airline's second major long-haul launch in two days, following the start of Mumbai-Manchester flights.
'This route will not only enhance connectivity for leisure, business, and student travellers, but also deepen the thriving partnership between India and the Netherlands, culturally, economically, and diplomatically," said IndiGo CEO Pieter Elbers as per PTI.
The Mumbai-Amsterdam route is part of IndiGo's broader effort to grow its long-haul network and make international travel more affordable and accessible for Indian travelers.
The Gurugram-based airline, which currently operates over 400 aircraft and flies to more than 40 international destinations, plans to introduce direct flights to London, Athens, and eight other international cities during the current financial year.

The Mumbai-Amsterdam service will operate three times a week using IndiGo's
Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner
aircraft.
The aircraft includes 56 IndiGoStretch seats arranged in a comfortable 2x3x2 layout, offering a spacious 43-inch seat pitch.
In economy class, there are 282 seats in a 3x3x3 configuration, each providing a generous 31-inch seat pitch to ensure a comfortable journey.
The airline has entered into a damp lease agreement with Norse Atlantic Airways to add six wide-body Boeing 787-9 aircraft to its fleet by 2026.
Looking ahead, the airline's long-haul fleet will be further strengthened by the arrival of Airbus A321XLRs later this year and Airbus A350-900s from 2027.
IndiGo said that passengers flying to or from Amsterdam will also benefit from seamless onward connections across its domestic network of over 90 Indian cities.
Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport, one of the busiest in the world, serves as a key hub for European travel, offering enhanced connectivity to destinations across Europe, North America, and Canada.

Crizac IPO: Following the close of the subscription of initial public offering (IPO) of Crizac Limited, all eyes of the investors will now be on the finalisation of the allotment of shares. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi NEW DELHI: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Saturday claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would "meekly bow" to US President Donald Trump , as New Delhi weighs its interests amid ongoing trade talks with Washington. Gandhi's remark was a reaction to Commerce and Industry minister Piyush Goyal 's statement, where he said: "We are not working towards any specific deadlines, we are working towards national interest". Trump has set July 9 as the deadline for trade agreements. "Piyush Goyal can beat his chest all he wants, mark my words, Modi will meekly bow to the Trump tariff deadline," Gandhi wrote on X. The Congerss leader's post on X India will enter into a trade agreement with the US only if its interests are protected and it is able to sustain a tariff advantage over its competitors, while prioritising the interests of farmers, commerce and industry minister Piyush Goyal said Friday. Trump had imposed reciprocal tariffs on nearly 100 countries but agreed to a 90-day pause that is to end Tuesday. India was slapped with 26 per cent reciprocal tariffs. There is uncertainty over whether India and US can agree to an early tranche or a mini deal before that even as a comprehensive bilateral trade agreement is negotiated by Fall (Sept-Oct) after a meeting between Trump and PM Modi. "Farmers' interest is always paramount for Modi government. In any negotiation we have done, you have seen UK, Australia, Mauritius, EFTA and UAE agreements, India's farmers have been protected." The government has refrained from offering concessions in major agricultural products, but for US, it is the main focus. While some government officials said US demands were not very clear, for India, Goyal said Indian expectations for duty concessions in labour-intensive sectors were the focus of the trade deal. Second-hand car prices in Delhi drop heavily
New Delhi: Prices of second-hand cars in the national capital have witnessed a sharp fall in recent days, with traders reporting a decline of 40 to 50 per cent, the Chamber of Trade and Industry (CTI) said on Friday. CTI Chairman Brijesh Goyal has said the market for overage vehicles in Delhi has been severely affected, with nearly 60 lakh vehicles impacted by the sudden downturn. He attributed the price crash to restrictions related to End-of-Life (EOL) vehicles, which have crossed the permissible age limit for operation in Delhi. Goyal, also an automobile businessman, claimed that traders were being forced to sell cars at significantly lower prices. "In the last five days, the prices of second-hand cars have dropped by 40 to 50 per cent. Businessmen in Delhi are now compelled to sell vehicles at one-fourth of their original price," he said. He said that second-hand cars from Delhi were usually sold in Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala. However, the demand from outside states was now accompanied by aggressive bargaining. "Luxury used cars that earlier fetched Rs six to seven lakh were now being sold for barely Rs 4 lakh to Rs 5 lakh. 'Buyers from other states are aware of the challenges faced by Delhi-based traders and are negotiating accordingly," Goyal said. He further added that over 1,000 traders in areas like Karol Bagh, Preet Vihar, Pitampura, and Moti Nagar were involved in the business of selling second-hand vehicles. Car dealers have also raised concerns over difficulties in obtaining the No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Transport Department, which is required to sell used vehicles in other states. Earlier, the process was relatively smooth, but now traders say they were facing delays and complications. The Delhi government had banned fuel for end-of-life vehicles -- 10 years or older for diesel vehicles and 15 years or older for petrol vehicles -- that are deregistered and not allowed to ply on the roads from July 1, following a court order. However, on Thursday, the government requested the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) to put the ban on hold with immediate effect, arguing that the fuel ban on overage vehicles was not feasible due to technological challenges.
