Last Updated: The popular tourer returns with bold new shades but keeps its tried-and-tested engine and design. Kawasaki has unveiled the 2026 edition of its much-loved adventure tourer – the Versys 650. While the design remains familiar, the new model gets a splash of colour with three fresh paint options: Blue, Red, and Green. These additions bring a modern twist to the bike's well-known silhouette without straying too far from its original character, as per Team Bhp. Engine Specifications Underneath the new colours, the Versys 650 remains mechanically unchanged. It continues to draw power from the reliable 649cc, liquid-cooled, twin-cylinder engine that delivers 66 BHP and 61 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a smooth 6-speed gearbox. Features The Versys 650 retains its rugged touring appeal with practical features like dual LED headlamps, a sporty short beak, and a comfortable stepped seat for both rider and pillion. The bike's suspension setup includes an upside-down front fork and a mono-shock at the rear – perfect for absorbing bumps on rough terrain. Braking duties are handled by dual front discs and a single rear disc. When is it coming to India? The updated Versys 650 is expected to make its way to India by the end of this year. With no change in performance but a fresh visual appeal, it's likely to attract riders who love touring but also want to stand out. view comments First Published: Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. 2026 Kawasaki Versys 650 Updated With New Colours

Kawasaki has launched the latest iteration of the Versys 650, but there's a catch! The bike has not been introduced for the Indian but international market. This version of the bike comes with aesthetic changes in the form of new colour options. Similarly, there are slight changes in the powertrain to make it Euro5+ compliant. With its familiar twin-headlamp design, the Kawasaki Versys 650 now gets paint scheme options like deep blue, grey, and black variants. Meanwhile, the version of the middle-weight motorcycle in the country still comes with Metallic Matte Graphenesteel Grey colour with green highlights on certain parts including the alloy wheels. This power is routed to the wheel using a six-speed transmission. The braking system continues to use dual semi-floating 300 mm discs, secured by dual-piston calipers at the front, while a single 250 mm disc with a single-piston caliper is located at the rear. These brakes are fitted onto 17-inch wheels, resulting in a seat height of 845 mm and a ground clearance of 170 mm. The suspension setup uses a 41 mm inverted telescopic fork at the front, offering adjustable rebound damping and preload settings. At the rear, there is a single-shock system that allows for remote spring preload adjustments. The 2026 Kawasaki Versys 650 continues to have the list of features that were available on the previous model year, including the KTRC traction control system, and full LED lighting. Additionally, it is equipped with a full-color 4.3-inch TFT display that supports smartphone connectivity, opening doors to multiple other features.
