‘Is That A Dog Driving?': Husky Found Behind Wheel In Mumbai Traffic Jam

It appears the owner had left the pet inside the parked car at Lokhandwala Main Market in Mumbai.
A bizarre incident from Mumbai has taken the internet by storm. Amid a traffic jam at Lokhandwala Main Market, Andheri West, a car caught everyone's attention. No, not because of its make or model, but because of who was in the driver's seat. Surprisingly, it wasn't empty. Sitting comfortably behind the wheel was a dog.
Yes, you read that right! The dog in the driver's seat sparked a mix of amusement and disbelief online. The video, shared on Instagram, captures a red car parked right in the middle of the street. It is a busy area, and the car's placement caused a major traffic block. A bus and several cars were stuck behind it, honking in frustration as they tried to move forward.
A Husky In The Driver's Seat
The twist? It was a husky behind the wheel. It appears the owner had left the pet inside the parked car. As traffic chaos unfolded around the vehicle, the pet remained calmly in the driver's seat, leaving bystanders both amused and bewildered. The viral video capturing the scene does not reveal the car's owner, and it remains unclear why the vehicle was left parked in such a busy spot. Adding to the mystery, the car's number plate is obscured in the footage.
The clip was posted with a caption that read, 'Car parked right in the middle of Lokhandwala Main Market, causing major inconvenience. Shockingly, a pet dog was left sitting on the driver's seat. This kind of careless & irresponsible parking deserves the choicest of punishment."
Here's How The Internet Reacted
The video has crossed over a lakh views and sparked varied reactions online. Some users were amused while others expressed concern.
One user wrote, 'What a cutie pie! But this is so dangerous – leaving him alone in the car like that."
Another added, 'The iconic Lokhandwala Road, where you can learn the art of not following traffic rules, especially to park to block the flow of traffic!! Real-life anti-parking game."
'He's in the driver's seat?? Are we sure he didn't drive there as well? He seems more sensible," someone joked while a person added, 'Lokhandwala has literally gone to the dogs."
There were also more serious comments with an individual writing, 'Take a photo and upload to Mumbai Traffic App. The challan will be issued against the offence."
'Sadly, this is the state of the entire Mumbai. People just park anywhere, leaving very little space to drive. Suddenly, there's been traffic everywhere for the last 1-2 years because of this. No action being taken by traffic police," read another comment.
The incident comes just weeks after a heartbreaking case in Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh, where a five-year-old pet Labrador died of suffocation after being left locked inside a parked car in the heat while its owners visited a temple.

McLaren's Rise Faster Than Ferrari's Schumacher Era: Andrea Stella's Bold Claim

Last Updated: McLaren leads the constructors' championship by 268 points, while both their drivers, Piastri and Norris, are vying for the drivers' title. McLaren's recent transformation has been so rapid and effective that its current trajectory may even outpace the legendary Ferrari era under Michael Schumacher, according to team principal Andrea Stella. Speaking on Friday ahead of the Hungarian Grand Prix, Stella reflected on his past with Ferrari and expressed astonishment at the scale and speed of McLaren's resurgence. The Italian, who served as an engineer at Ferrari during Schumacher's dominance in the early 2000s, now leads a McLaren team that is dominating both the drivers' and constructors' championships in 2025. Stella, who joined McLaren in 2015 after more than a decade at Ferrari, emphasized that drawing direct comparisons between eras and teams can be tricky, particularly given his different roles in each organization. However, he admitted that McLaren's current rate of development stands out. 'It's always difficult to compare across seasons," Stella said. 'In this case, we are comparing across teams, and even myself, I was in a very different role, so my field of view, my perspective was very different." During Schumacher's golden run from 2000 to 2004, Ferrari secured five consecutive drivers' titles and six consecutive constructors' championships, with the 2004 season being especially dominant—15 wins from 18 races. McLaren's Dominance in 2025 In stark contrast to their recent struggles, McLaren has surged to the front of the grid in 2025. After finishing fifth in 2022 and fourth in 2023, the team has won 10 of the first 13 races this season and holds a commanding 268-point lead over second-placed Ferrari in the constructors' standings. Their driver duo—Oscar Piastri of Australia and Britain's Lando Norris—are currently locked in a close fight for the drivers' title. Piastri leads Norris by 16 points, while Max Verstappen, the reigning champion and Red Bull ace, trails by a distant 81 points in third place. Despite the commanding lead and consistent performance from his drivers, Stella is unwilling to label the championship battle as a closed contest. 'Definitely not," Stella said when asked about whether Verstappen was out of the Championship race. 'I only agree with mathematics. So once mathematics tells us that's the case, then I'll change my answer." First Published: Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. Tesla To Launch First Supercharging Station In Mumbai

The Superchargers will offer a peak charging speed of up to 250 kW, with prices starting at Rs 24 per kWh Elon Musk-owned Tesla on Friday announced that it will launch its first Supercharging station in India next week, starting with Mumbai. The new Tesla Charging Station in Mumbai will be the first in the country and will include four V4 Supercharging Stalls (DC fast chargers) and four Destination Charging Stalls (AC chargers). According to Tesla, the Superchargers will offer a peak charging speed of up to 250 kW, with prices starting at Rs 24 per kWh. The Destination chargers will provide up to 11 kW of power at Rs 14 per kWh. 'This will be the first of the eight Supercharging sites that were announced during the launch in Mumbai, with more planned across the country, to provide the optimal cross-country experience," the company said in a statement, adding that more locations are planned across India to support cross-country travel and improve EV convenience. Tesla opened its first Indian showroom on July 15 at the Maker Maxity Commercial Complex in Mumbai's Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC). This was also the day it officially launched the Model Y in the Indian market. The Model Y, a mid-size electric SUV, is the first car Tesla is offering in India. It starts at Rs 59.89 lakh for the rear-wheel drive version, with the long-range variant priced at Rs 67.89 lakh. Tesla claims the Model Y can add up to 267 kilometres of range in just 15 minutes using the new Superchargers. That, the company says, is enough for five return trips between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport and the Gateway of India in Mumbai. Additionally, Tesla will provide a free wall connector with every new car purchase, which can be installed at customers' homes for convenient charging. The company had paused its India entry plans in 2022 but resumed efforts last year, searching for showroom space in key cities. Its launch in India comes at a time when Tesla is facing falling global sales and increased competition in the EV market.
