Here's the Oppo K13 Turbo and Turbo Pro's active cooling fan in action

GSM Arena6 days ago
The Oppo K13 Turbo and K13 Turbo Pro are being fully unveiled on July 21, and ahead of that the company's teaser campaign for the duo is in full swing. With this comes the video you can see below, which shows the devices' built-in active cooling fan doing its thing, and it seems to be doing pretty well, even putting out some candles with no issue. Take a look:
Oppo says the fan's design boosts cooling efficiency by 300% over traditional fans, while reducing space usage by 70% and increasing the fan's power by 120%.
Obviously the whole point of adding the fan is providing smooth high frame rate gaming with no dips in performance due to throttling because of excess heat. And according to Oppo K series product manager Wei Wei, the new devices will be able to run Honor of Kings at an average of 120.36fps, while Game for Peace averages 119.76fps, both with incredible stability when the fan is engaged.
As an optional extra, the K13 Turbo and Turbo Pro will get the Super Cooling Set which consists of a case with magnets onto which you can attach an external fan to make things even cooler.
The K13 Turbo and K13 Turbo Pro will be IPX6, IPX8, and IPX9 certified for water resistance, which is a very tall feat of engineering considering the fan inside.

Galaxy Watch Ultra gets One UI 8 Watch – here come the new health and fitness features

Samsung just announced that One UI 8 Watch is now available for the Galaxy Watch Ultra. The update unlocks the new motivational health features and the refined, intuitive interface Samsung introduced with the Galaxy Watch 8 series for Galaxy Watch Ultra users. The new update brings Running Coach, Vascular Load, and Antioxidant Index to the Galaxy Watch Ultra. All these features are made to help you build healthier habits with motivational insights to inspire you. But that's not all. Galaxy Watch Ultra users can now also enjoy the new One UI 8 Watch user interface. It is a new interface optimized to give you the essential information at a glance, and it takes into consideration a timepiece's smaller screen. These tiles pull health metrics and weather, as well as other essential data, into a customizable view for you exactly when you need it. The Now Bar is also here, making sure that whatever you are using right now is accessible easily. Right now, the Galaxy Watch Ultra is the best option for outdoorsy people who go on adventures. The watch is available in four titanium finishes, including the newly introduced Titanium Blue, which is simply stunning. On the other hand, the Galaxy Watch 8 is more for casual and everyday users who prefer comfort and style, while the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic is sophistication coupled with advanced functionality. The Galaxy Watch 8 series is launching soon, alongside the Titanium Blue finish for the Galaxy Watch Ultra. I think these updates are a great addition to the already-awesome Galaxy Watch Ultra. The new features are entirely there to help you improve your health habits and overall well-being, and I find them super cool, especially the Antioxidant Index, which is a feature that would help you maintain your health for longer. One UI 8 Watch update now rolling out to the Galaxy Watch Ultra

Like their cousins in the Galaxy Z family, the new Galaxy Watch8 series introduced a new version of Samsung's bespoke interface – One UI 8 Watch. This same software is now rolling out to Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra owners and brings new training and health features, plus UI refinements that offer more at-a-glance info on a watch-sized display. Key tools for that are the Multi-Info Tiles. They are customizable, so you can pick the data that's most relevant to you – you can choose from anything from weather info to health metrics. The Now Bar, which you may be familiar with from Galaxy phones, displays a camera controller, media controller, stopwatch and timer and so on (you can customize it from the companion app). Speaking of health metrics, the watch can now calculate your Vascular Load and measure your Antioxidant Index. Vascular Load measures the stress on your circulatory system during sleep. The Antioxidant Index measures carotenoids (a kind of antioxidant) stored in your skin. New features coming to the Galaxy Watch Ultra with One UI 8 Watch Additionally, the Galaxy Watch Ultra gains support for the new Running Coach. It can build a detailed running plan for you given a specific goal – 5K, 10K, half marathon or full marathon. It starts by measuring your running performance with a 12-minute test. You can read more about the new features here. During the Galaxy Unpacked event earlier this month, Samsung refreshed the Galaxy Watch Ultra with a new Titanium Blue color option and doubled the storage to 64GB. This new version is launching globally this week, but it's a minor improvement over the original 2024 watch (it's not an 'Ultra 2'). Anyway, One UI 8 Watch will be released for older models too. Last week, we saw reports of a beta build for the Galaxy Watch5 and Watch5 Pro, for example. Source Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra
