Teen arrested in ‘violent assault' that left one unconscious: WPS
On June 20 around 9 p.m., police were called for a report of a hurt person at Riverfront Festival Plaza. When they arrived on scene, they found a 16-year-old boy that was unconscious.
The victim woke up on scene and received treatment from EMS for non-life-threatening injuries.
The WPS conducted an investigation where they said the victim was involved in a physical altercation with a 14-year-old boy earlier in the evening, but had separated.
Police said later in the night, the 14-year-old allegedly assaulted the 16-year-old from behind, knocked him to the ground, and stomped on his head.
On Wednesday, police found the suspect in the 100 block of Bruce Avenue. He was arrested in connection to an additional separate incident, which involved property damage at a home.
The suspect is now facing charges for assault causing bodily harm, uttering threats to cause death, and mischief under $5,000.
