Steelers AFC Champion defensive end Ray Seals dies at 59
Former Pittsburgh Steelers defensive end Ray Seals has died at the age of 59, according to Syracuse.com.
Seals was one of the rare few NFL players to skip college football, going straight from Henninger High School in Syracuse, New York to the minor-league Syracuse Express of the Empire Football League.

He played two seasons for the Express before being picked up by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 1989. Seals spent two seasons as a reserve for the Bucs and three as a part-time starter before joining the Steelers in 1994.
In three seasons in Pittsburgh, Seals started 27 games, including all 16 regular season games in 1995, and then another three in playoffs as the Steelers went all the way to Super Bowl XXX.

Johnson could form one of the best one-two punches with RB Jaylen Warren in the rushing attack this season — but the success may fall on whether the offensive line can take the next step in 2025. ‘Small and really special group': Steelers name 2025 Hall of Honor class
The Pittsburgh Steelers have announced three players who are joining the team's Hall of Honor this year. The team named linebacker Joey Porter Sr., center Maurkice Pouncey and quarterback Ben Roethlisberger as the 2025 Hall of Honor Class during a ceremony at training camp on Saturday. Porter was at camp for the announcement, and in a video posted to social media, called the induction 'an amazing honor to have.' Head Coach Mike Tomlin, in a congratulations video, called the 2025 class a 'small and really special group.' The 2025 Hall of Honor Class will be officially inducted on Dec. 14 during the Hall of Honor dinner. They'll be welcomed at Acrisure Stadium the next day when the Steelers play the Dolphins. Steelers announce 2025 Hall of Honor class headlined by Ben Roethlisberger
Few NFL franchises can boast the sheer volume of talent over the decades that the Pittsburgh Steelers can. The Pro Football Hall of Fame is filled with former Steelers and the franchise has six Super Bowl championships. The team also has their own Ring of Honor and each year a select few former Steelers legends get their names added. On Saturday, the Steelers announced the three former Steelers who will be a part of the 2025 class. This class is headlined by quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. He is joined by center Maurkice Pouncey and outside linebacker Joey Porter. To be considered for the Hall of Honor, a player must be retired for at least three seasons, have spent at least three seasons with the Steelers, and obviously have had a significant impact on the team during their tenure. Other members of the Hall of Honor include Terry Bradshaw, Joe Greene, Franco Harris, Jack Lambert, Jack Ham, Mel Blount, Mike Webster, Dermontti Dawson, John Stallworth, Rod Woodson, Troy Polamalu, Donnie Shell, Ernie Stautner, Jerome Bettis, and Alan Faneca. According to the team's press release, the Steelers will welcome the 2025 Hall of Honor Class when the team takes on the Miami Dolphins on Monday, Dec. 15.
