Anthony Anderson addresses resurfaced clip of him telling a teen Lindsay Lohan he ‘likes them young'
'This interview was clearly intended as comedy,' a rep for the comedian told Entertainment Weekly n Friday in response to a resurfaced clip of Anderson interviewing Lohan on The Sharon Osbourne Show in December 2003 when he was asked to fill in.
The spokesperson continued, 'He regrets if the humour was in poor taste and maintains the utmost respect for Lindsay. Any implication to the contrary is both inaccurate and potentially defamatory.'
Page Six has reached out to Anderson's rep for further comment but has not heard back.
In the resurfaced clip, the Black-ish star asked the Freaky Friday actress about what it was like being roommates with fellow child star Raven-Symoné at the time.
He began with a compliment, stating they are 'both beautiful women' and wondered how they would compromise on decorating the home.
Lohan then explained that she was much more into the colour pink than the Cosby Show star, so that wouldn't be an issue, but then Anderson asked, 'What gentleman will be at the new pad?'
'No one,' the Parent Trap star immediately responded, nodding her head. 'No, I don't have a boyfriend.'
Anderson then leaned in and shouted to the audience, 'Hmmm. She's single! But looking.'
However, Lohan clarified, 'I'm illegal for people that are old,' prompting the Guys With Kids star to reply, 'Well, you know some men like them young. We ain't gonna mention no names but, you know, I'm one of them.'
The then-33-year-old erupted into laughter but the audience was noticeably not as enthused.
One person on social media expressed dismay over the comment, writing, 'He actually said that out loud.'
Another asked, 'Is it a rule that to be successful in Hollywood you have to be a complete creep?'
A third social media user pointed out Anderson's history of sexual assault allegations, asking, 'How does he still have a career?????'
In 2018, the Los Angeles Police probed the Barbershop star for allegedly assaulting a woman at an event she catered. However, his rep said at the time, 'Anthony unequivocally disputes the claim.'
Anderson and assistant director Wayne Witherspoon were also previously accused of raping an extra on the set of the 2004 film Hustle & Flow, but the charges were dropped when the judge ruled that there was no probable cause to try the case.
A rep for Lohan, now 39, could not immediately be reached for comment.

Bobby Lee thinks wokeness is to blame for his exit from And Just Like That, the New York Post reports. The comedian, 53, spoke to Entertainment Weekly at San Diego Comic-Con over the weekend about why he wasn't asked to reprise his role as Jackie Nee, Carrie's (Sarah Jessica Parker) podcast co-host, on the third season of the show. 'Some of the woke elements of the show, they got rid of, and I think I was a part of that,' Lee stated. 'I think Sara [Ramirez] didn't come back and some other people,' he added. 'They tried to put minorities in, and — I don't know. I never saw the show.' Season 2 wrapped up Carrie's podcast storyline, which allowed the show to write off Lee and Ramirez. 'Number one, I don't even know why they asked,' Lee told EW about being cast in the HBO Max series. 'And I was super scared to do it. Because it wasn't my brand, really. You know what I mean? But I did it. I walked through the fear.' Lee added that getting to work with Parker, 60, was a highlight of the experience. 'Sarah Jessica Parker is the nicest person I've ever met. She made me feel so at ease,' he shared. 'I like everyone on there. It was fun. I never have bad blood with anybody. You know what I mean? I am nice. I show up on time.' Lee previously revealed that working on the Sex and the City reboot pushed him to get sober. 'I was in Hawaii and I was blackout drunk and my agent called and said, 'They need you in New York,'' he recalled on Rachel Bilson's Broad Ideas podcast in 2023. 'This is one of the reasons why I'm sober … On the plane, I thought, 'I'm just gonna get sh*t faced,' so I was in a blackout when we landed in New York.' Lee said that he learned he was expected to film AJLT that day when he realised that his driver wasn't taking him to his hotel. 'I remember going and being so high and drunk,' Lee revealed. 'When I was reading the script, I couldn't even understand what the f*ck it was even saying. It was a nightmare. I remember thinking, 'This is never going to happen again — I have to get sober.'' Perth all-girl band relive glory days in iconic film sequel
It's the song that burned bright as a teenage anthem in the early 2000s, and now Take Me Away by Perth band Lash is being introduced to a new generation of fans. The song, with it's iconic sing-a-long chorus of I don't wanna grow up/I wanna get out , was brought to global fame by the 2005 hit film Freaky Friday starring Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis. It's now being featured in the films sequel and the band behind the tune are finding themselves back in the spotlight. 'It's taking me back into a time capsule,' former member of Lash Belinda-Lee Reid says. Reid wrote Take Me Away when she was 18, but Lash were already a well established band. They formed in 1996 when the members were just 13 years old. They signed to Festival Mushroom Records in 2001 just as the teenagers were finishing high school, and they relocated to Sydney to record an album. 'We were actually sitting around a lot during the time of writing songs and we were stuck in a studio,' Reid says of when she wrote Take Me Away. Ionically, the band never capitalised on their biggest hit as the request from Disney came just as the band was on the verge of splitting up. 'We had already dissipated as a band when they decided to use it. One of the girls wanted to start a family and that was it - the band was capooty. At first they wanted us to fly to America to re-record it and we were going to sing it, but then 9/11 happened so we didn't go. And then Kelly Osborne was supposed to sing it but then her mum, Sharon Osborne got cancer so she didn't sing it, so (US band) Pink Slip ended up recording a cover of it which became the hit.' While the Pink Slip cover was initially better known, Reid says as the years have gone by, US fans have sought out the Lash original, which now has more than 10 million streams on Spotify. Another Lash song, Beauty Queen, is also featured in the Freaky Friday film, with Reid doing the vocals. Now in her 40s, Reid says her teenage years as a rock star feel a million miles away. After Lash split up, the band went their separate ways. Guitarist Jessica Bennett is a producer at her own music studio in Melbourne, Love Shack Studios. Drummer Jac Pearson is a scientist living in Wales and singer and bass player Micaela Slayford is a mum of four and based in Fremantle. Reid is now a real estate agent in Fremantle. Lash broke up when the members were 23 and Reid says making the transition from music to the working world wasn't easy. 'Getting into the workforce when I finished my music career was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do,' Reid says. 'There was nothing on my CV. Reid has been invited to attend the premier of Freakier Friday in Sydney next week, where she can final reveal in the success of the song she penned when she was a teenager. 'Apparently Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis are going to be there. So hopefully I get to meet them and have a little fancy photo with them,' Reid says.

Ex-Ryder Cup player Hunter Mahan unrecognisable in Happy Gilmore 2
Former world No. 4 golfer Hunter Mahan has been left unrecognisable as he took a new job as Adam Sandler's body double in Happy Gilmore 2. The iconic comedy had its sequel released on Netflix on Friday and it featured many cameos from the world of golf, The Sun reports. Golf stars such as John Daly, Rory McIlroy and Brooks Koepka, as well as influencer Paige Spirinac, all took up roles. But Mahan was given the honour of being Sandler's body double in order to show off Happy Gilmore's perfect swing. The former Ryder Cup Team USA star, 43, shared a post on Instagram showing his transformation into Happy. The process saw him given facial hair and a haircut. He also had make-up and a new wardrobe to match Sandler's character. 'When they called and said Happy Gilmore needs a golf swing double, I said say no more,' Mahan wrote. 'Honoured to get to be a part of Happy Gilmore 2 and witness Adam Sandler's comedic genius come to life first-hand! 'Here's a little behind-the-scenes look of my transformation into Happy – shoutout to the hair and makeup team, that crew is incredible and so hard working! 'And some fun from set. 'Such an awesome experience and capped it off by bringing my daughter Zoe to the premiere earlier this week.' The video ended with him showing off the familiar walk-up swing of the beloved movie character. Fans loved seeing the reveal on social media as they flooded the comment section. One posted: 'Man this is so badass.' A second wrote: 'This is awesome! Great stuff.' A third commented: 'This is so cool Hunter.'
