The elongated braids were low-key in comparison to the abstract, sculpted hair Marquez has created for her in the past. However, Marquez typically adds a braided element in many of her looks. Doechii's hair for the Grammy Awards was a braided crown extension tied on top of her head. Oppositely, Marquez put her in an afro for the 2025 Met Gala and flattened her hair, adding a front fringe and folding the spikey ends on top of her head for her Dazed cover shoot.
Her BET Awards makeup was light, consisting of full brows, lash extensions, brown lip liner and a clear gloss. Doechii has famously worked with artist Dee, whose client list includes Ayo Edebiri, but it's not certain whether they were responsible for this glam.
Doechii was also a Miu Miu girl on Monday, posing in an all-red, two-piece skirt and bandeau top set with the brand's yellow suede Arcadie bag, layered belts, colorful bangles and a Renato Cipullo Amethyst and Emerald Lucido Ring. Her acrylic nails were also the star of the show, square-cut and painted in an ombré red and gold on one hand and an iridescent amber on the other. Doechii's stylist Sam Woolf also put her in see-through, orange shades, wood hoops and Jimmy Choo sandals with purple flower accents.
Back in February, Doechii made her rounds through fashion week, attending all of the major shows and opening the runway for Dsquared2's fall 2025 Milan presentation. Her runway debut saw her emerge out of an armored truck to her own track, 'Nissan Altima.' Instead of braids, Doechii's hair was teased up, blown out and curled, shining as the flood lights hit her.

THE RUNDOWN A sequel to The Devil Wears Prada wouldn't be complete without a scene at some version of the Met Gala. Luckily, the movie filmed their take on the iconic fashion event on Friday, August 1, at the Museum of Natural History. Photos from the set show Meryl Streep dressed as her character, Miranda Priestly, wearing her idea of a perfect red carpet ensemble. Naturally, it's stunning. In the new behind-the-scenes images, Streep can be seen posing with Stanley Tucci, playing Nigel, wearing a rich red gown with an asymmetrical neckline, one long sleeve, and a dramatic full skirt. She had her short platinum hair swept back and wore statement earrings with red and white jewels and a red stone ring. Tucci wore a black tux with a polka dot bowtie and a long black and white scarf. Bridgerton's Simone Ashley, who plays a new character in The Devil Wears Prada 2, was also seen on set in a sculptural take on the little black dress. The skin-tight ensemble featured sheer panels across her torso and an elevated neckline of netted fabric decorated with black rhinestones. She accessorized with a small black purse, hair ornaments, and shimmering tights. Ashley's character details have been kept under wraps so far. Aside from Streep and Tucci, Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt are returning for the sequel, and new cast members reportedly include Lucy Liu, Pauline Chalamet, Kenneth Branagh, Tracie Thomas, B.J. Novak, and Justin Theroux. Hathaway recently spoke about returning to the world of DWP with WWD. The star is also reprising her role in the upcoming The Princess Diaries 3. 'I was so beautifully cared for on both of those films,' she said of her experience as a young actress on set in the original movies. 'I was so guided and looked after and cared for by the communities that made both of those films in particular, each of their directors, Garry Marshall and David Frankel.'
