This is the 136th edition of the nation's oldest college football All-America team. Walter Camp originally selected the first college football All-America team in 1889. In 1967, the Walter Camp Football Foundation was founded and continued the tradition of annually selecting an All-America team.

Ahead of 2025-26 season, Taurean York and Ar'maj Reed-Adams were selected to the 2025 Walter Camp Preseason FBS All-America Teams.
The Aggies linebacker made the First Team Defense and the offensive lineman made Second Team Offense.
Texas A&M's rising junior defenseman started all 13 games in 2024-25 and was a season-long captain for the Aggies. He led the team with 82 tackles with 35 solos and 47 assists, and was second on the team with 9.5 tackles for loss for 31 yards. York also totaled 2.5 sacks and four pass breakups.

York started his success early in College Station the year prior in 2023. He was named to the SEC All-Freshman team and Freshman All-American team after leading the rookies in the NCAA in tackles for loss.

Reed-Adams is entering his second season at Texas A&M as a senior. He was the starting right guard each game in 2024-25 and assisted the Aggies in averaging 195.5 rushing yards per game. Reed-Adams is a versatile offensive lineman that kept the offense as stable as possible through quarterback adjustments.
He's a key returner for the Aggies after opting to not declare for 2025 NFL Draft. Reed-Adams should be expected to be a day two draft pick in 2026.

Jason Kelce swarmed by hate comments after 4th of July Instagram post

On Friday, July 4, former Philadelphia Eagles star Jason Kelce celebrated the holiday like many Americans by enjoying some fireworks. He later shared a video of the fireworks show he had seen on social media. But it was the caption that Kelce shared with the post that ruffled the feathers of some Instagram users, leading to a surge of angry comments. Advertisement 'Man I love the 4th! One of the great days we all can set aside our differences in this country, and enjoy the one thing we all share in common. That we are American! Cheers to you oh beautiful America,' Kelce captioned the post. While Kelce likely hadn't intended to be controversial with his post, many people found it tone-deaf given the timing, likely alluding to President Trump's controversial 'Big Beautiful Bill' which was signed just hours before Kelce's post. 'I love you, bro, but your privilege is showing. You are able to set things aside, but not everyone has that privilege,' commented one person. Advertisement 'Unfortunately Jason this is not real life for many. They signed the worst bill for so many Americans today just to rub it in our faces. I know it's hard to understand, but so many will suffer,' another wrote. However, not all comments were negative. Many also came to Kelce's defense, claiming there was nothing wrong with his post or his celebration of his country. 'Thank you Jason! You are correct, we are all Americans and today is the day to celebrate that, nothing else!!' wrote one fan. Read More! Lakers make shocking Bronny James Summer League decision days before Cooper Flagg matchup

The Los Angeles Lakers will compete in the California Classic before heading to Las Vegas to take part in the NBA 2K26 Summer League. Before the Lakers' Saturday night contest against the Golden State Warriors, the organization made a shocking decision involving their 20-year-old guard, Bronny James. Advertisement 'Warriors vs Lakers California Classic Starting Lineups: Lakers: Dalton Knecht, Cole Swider, Trey Jamison III, Dajaun Gordon, and DJ Steward,' Sports Illustrated's Liam Willerup reported on X/Twitter. 'Warriors: Chris Manon, Jackson Rowe, Marques Bolden, Taran Armstrong, and Jaden Shackelford. No Bronny James, as he will not suit up for today's game.' Entering the day, there was no indication that Los Angeles would sideline James to begin Summer League action. While many are looking ahead to the USC product's highly anticipated matchup against Dallas Mavericks forward Cooper Flagg next Thursday, it's unlikely they expected to watch a James-less Lakers squad during either event. Advertisement Follow The Sporting News on WhatsApp James, whom the Lakers unsurprisingly selected in the second round of the 2024 NBA draft, recently finished his rookie campaign in the big leagues. While still a work in progress, the 6-foot-2 guard was a standout contributor in the NBA G-League, averaging 21.9 points, 5.4 assists, and 5.2 rebounds per game with the South Bay Lakers. James' efficiency is also noteworthy, as the former McDonald's All-American connected on 44.0% of his field goals and 38.0% from the three. Hopefully, James will suit up for the Summer League soon and receive valuable reps heading into his second NBA season.
