‘Miss you' - Emmerdale star responds to Beth Cordingly as fans call for reunion

Metro2 days ago
Former Emmerdale star Lewis Cope has been missing the joy that comes with working with Beth Cordingly.
Lewis portrayed the role of Nicky Miligan from 2022-2024. He was initially introduced as a new nanny for the children at Home Farm.
As time ticked on though, we discovered Nicky had an ulterior motive while working under Kim Tate's (Claire King) roof. It was confirmed he's the son of Caleb Miligan (William Ash) and the two of them were working together to destroy Kim and Home Farm.
With Caleb being the son of Frank Tate, he believed he was entitled to everything that Kim owned. His plan proved the new character was utterly ruthless, as he forced Nicky to go ahead with wedding prep for him and Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham), despite knowing he was gay.
Life for Caleb and Nicky got even more complicated when Ruby Miligan (Beth Cordingly), Nicky's mum, arrived.
At the time, Caleb and Ruby were in the process of getting a divorce, but Ruby struggled to accept their relationship was close to ending for good.
Nicky departed the village last year alongside his new boyfriend. The dynamic between him and his parents completely crumbled when he learnt of Ruby's involvement in Ethan Anderson's death, and Caleb's attempt to cover it up.
With the Miligan clan still at the centre of the drama in the village, plenty of fans are still hoping Nicky will return.
And Lewis Cope is certainly missing life in the Dales, in particular seeing his co-star Beth Cordingly.
Recently, Beth shared a video of her in Brighton. She is dressed in a scarf and two rubber rings as she wanders down one of the coastal roads.
The clip has made plenty of her followers laugh including Lewis, who shared a 'Bonkers! Miss you x', message in the comments section.
Ruby and Caleb's other child, Steph (Georgia Jay), arrived in the village towards the end of last year.

Debbie makes a huge decision in Coronation Street as Ronnie is left reeling

Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney)'s recent dementia diagnosis on Coronation Street was a massive shock for a person who prides herself in being a strong, successful businesswoman. Debbie initially kept the diagnosis a secret, not wanting her family and friends to change the way they viewed her as she came to terms with the news. 'She wants to keep it to herself for as long as possible,' Sue Devaney said at the start of the storyline. 'She's going, 'I've been diagnosed with this, so how am I going to cope with it? I'll find out how I cope with it and then I'll tell my family.' She's gone about it that way.' Eventually Debbie had to open up to her loved ones about what was wrong, after she collapsed and Kevin (Michael Le Vell) and Abi (Sally Carman) wanted to take her to hospital. Telling the truth eventually allowed her to mend her relationship with Ronnie Bailey (Vinta Morgan). Debbie had pushed Ronnie away, making out that she didn't love him, because she couldn't face him how their relationship might change in the future as her illness progressed. Ronnie has reassured her that he's going nowhere and is ready to be by her side to face whatever comes. This is due to be put to the test in upcoming episodes, as Debbie makes a massive decision which could potentially affect their future for a long time to come, without talking to Ronnie about it first. Ronnie and Debbie are keen to buy number 6 Coronation Street, the former home of Yasmeen Metcalfe (Shelley King). They aren't the only couple interested, however, as Carla Connor (Alison King) and Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) also have their eye on the house. Debbie is furious when she discovers that Carla has put in an offer, which has been accepted and she takes action. Ronnie is appalled to hear that Debbie has retaliated by placing a 'crazy' offer for the property, far above what it's worth. He begs her to retract the offer, but she stubbornly refuses, reminding Ronnie that she's a successful businesswoman and she knows what she's doing. More Trending It's Ronnie's belief that Debbie is so desperate to get the house because she wants to be on hand for her brother Kevin as he goes through more cancer treatment. Viewers know that Kevin is actually cancer free and his treatment has worked, after Dr Gaddas (Christine Mackie) congratulated him on the news. But he's still pretending to be ill because he's afraid Abi will leave him for his brother Carl (Jonathan Howard) otherwise. So when Ronnie tells Kevin about Debbie's reckless actions with the house, a guilty Kevin tries to persuade his sister not to do anything daft because of him. View More » Will Debbie listen? Cain lashes out in Emmerdale as he's scammed in new horror ordeal

Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) is targeted by scammers in Emmerdale which will result in being the straw that breaks the camel's back. Fragile is not a word commonly used to describe the Dingle patriarch, but he's coping with grief for his son and fears for his granddaughter with cancer, meaning deep down, he's barely holding it together. He surprised everyone when he chose to back Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill) and her plans for surrogacy but he's about to go one better as he goes all out to try and make Sarah's dream happen. Between them they try a few agencies and have no luck, but this is not the end. Charity (Emma Atkins) goes rogue with a new plan – she asks Victoria to be Sarah's surrogate. Charity emotionally blackmails the young mum by telling her it's probably the only chance Sarah has at having a kid of her own. The whole situation brings Charity and Cain together as they vow to help Sarah sort this situation. Charity pursues the plan of pressuring Victoria to agree, while Cain continues to explore agencies. Robert (Ryan Hawley) is horrified to learn that Victoria (Isobel Hodgins) has been approached, while Moira (Natalie J Robb) thinks Cain is offsetting his grief by focusing on babies. More Trending She's not wrong, Cain is not thinking clearly, which becomes painfully evident when the surrogate from the agency fails to show up. Martin Kemp makes touching death admission to son Roman after health scares

Our community members are treated to special offers, promotions and adverts from us and our partners. You can check out at any time. More info Martin Kemp had a touching admission to son Roman after battling major health issues. The Spandau Ballet star had two metal plates put into his head in the 1990s after having two brain tumours. It led the EastEnders icon to take a three-year break from his professional career while he recovered. Martin, who won a plethora of awards for his role as Steve Owen in the BBC soap, said the tumours left him with 'controlled epilepsy'. After the surgery, he struggled with the use of one leg and said he had problems with one of his eyes. He even believes the tumours caused his dyslexia. Martin, 63, has previously confessed he doesn't believe he will live for another decade. It has led to a series of frank discussions with The One Show star Roman. On his You About? podcast with Tom Grennan, Roman said: 'I always say to my dad, 'What do you want to be known as when you die? What's on your grave stone?' And he literally says, 'A good man'. (Image: Dave Benett/WireImage via Getty Images) 'And I'm like, 'What is that?' Because it's not anything to do with success and that's what intrigues me. And I always think about that with people in the limelight.' Roman went on to say his father's desire to be remembered as a 'good man' gives him one big worry in life. He added: 'My worry about it is when I think about it, I go, 'Okay, am I a good person?' 'And then you think if it's how you treated people or if it's who you truly know yourself to be. You can't be nice to everyone.' During a conversation with Roman, Martin said "spent two years" believing he was on the brink of death after being diagnosed with the tumours in his thirties. He now sees each year he's lived "as a bonus". On their FFS! My Dad is Martin Kemp podcast, the Spandau bassist explained he has even considered his own funeral arrangements after the health battle. Martin said he would like to limit the 'private' event to around 20 people - although he previously confessed he believes only six would turn up, including his dog. After Roman pressed him for names, he said: "I wouldn't want to put anyone under pressure to come to the funeral, you know." (Image: Channel 4) Martin went on to recall similar sentiments when he once hosted a joint birthday party with his brother Gary Kemp, adding: "I hated it because I was putting people under pressure to come out for me, and I didn't like it at all." Further grilled by his son about the numbers, Martin continued: "I don't mind if it's 20 people or whether it's six, I'll be quite happy if it's six people, I don't mind. "I want a private funeral, I don't want people coming just to have a look or just to say, 'I was at Martin Kemp's funeral'. I don't want that at all, I would rather have six people that are there to say goodbye to me, because that's who I am."
