Miley Cyrus is all set to celebrate 20 years of her hit Disney Channel series Hannah Montana. Two decades after the show first hit the airwaves, the singer is planning a heartfelt tribute to mark its milestone anniversary in 2026.
'I want to design something really, really special for it because it really was the beginning of all of this," Miley said during her recent appearance on Sirius XM.
Launched in 2006, Hannah Montana swiftly rose to prominence as one of the most iconic shows in Disney Channel history, making 13-year-old Miley a household celebrity.
The series revolved around Miley Stewart, an average California girl leading a double life as a worldwide pop sensation, Hannah Montana. Miley's real-life father, Billy Ray Cyrus, played her on-screen father on the show.
Hannah Montana became a cultural powerhouse, propelling its lead actress to unimaginable heights of stardom both on and off screen. By the time the show ended in 2011, Miley had become a multiplatinum artist. However, her transition into adulthood was met with criticism, with headlines highlighting her controversial act and performances linked back to her Disney past.
Speaking about her shifting relationship with Hannah Montana, Miley Cyrus said, 'It's crazy to think that I started as a character that I thought was going to be impossible to shed, but now that's something that when I walk into a space, it's looked at as this sense of kind of, like, nostalgia or something that you have from your childhood." She added, 'I've now been integrated into everyone's life as the character itself."
Fans are already making assumptions about Miley's future plans for the 20th anniversary of Hannah Montana. While some are hoping for a concert or re-recordings, others speculate that she might release a documentary or launch limited-edition merchandise.
A reunion of the entire cast or a revival of the series seems far less likely as other cast members, including Emily Osment, who portrayed Miley's best friend on the show, have distanced themselves from the idea.

And the film's director Spike Lee is all praises for the 36-year-old rapper's impressive acting skills. During his appearance on the July 31 episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the 68-year-old filmmaker shared that Rocky goes 'toe-to-toe" with Denzel Washington in the upcoming film. The legendary Hollywood actor is best known for his roles in films like Cry Freedom, Malcolm X, Man on Fire, Deja Vu, American Gangster, Unstoppable and Gladiator II. 'Don't sleep on A$AP," Lee said during the conversation, highlighting how the rapper held his own while starring in the film when others feel pressured while working with someone as great as Washington. 'I've done five films with Denzel, and a lot of times when he's in a scene with somebody, they just get overwhelmed. He's one of the greatest living actors today, but A$AP wasn't having that," he said, adding, 'Toe-to-toe, I mean, they were going at it." So when you see it on the screen, it adds an element of father and son." Highest 2 Lowest: Cast And Plot The neo-noir crime thriller is an English reinterpretation of Akira Kurosawa's 1963 Japanese film High and Low. The latter, in turn, is loosely based on the 1959 novel by Ed McBain, titled King's Ransom. Set in New York City, the film follows the life of an aspiring rapper, Yung Felony, played by A$AP Rocky, who is the son of Denzel Washington's character, David King. He runs a successful record label, called the Stackin Hits, and is the heir of the legendary record producer and composer Quincy Jones. Besides the two leads, the film features Ice Spice in her debut role, Jeffrey Wright, Michael Potts, Dean Winters, Jensen McRae and John Douglas Thompson, among others. John Abrahams Tehran to release on ZEE5 on August 14
Agency: PTI Last Updated: New Delhi, Aug 2 (PTI) 'Tehran", headlined by Bollywood star John Abraham, will stream on ZEE5 from August 14. Inspired by true events, 'Tehran" is written by Ritesh Shah and Ashish Prakash Verma, and marks the feature directorial debut of ad filmmaker Arun Gopalan. It also stars Manushi Chhillar, Neeru Bajwa and Madhurima Tuli. The film 'dives into the shadowy world of international espionage where one man's allegiance could tip the balance between loyalty and betrayal," according to a press release. The story draws inspiration from the 2012 bomb explosion near the Israeli Embassy in Delhi, a real-life incident that spiraled into complex diplomatic ripples. Amidst this, ACP Rajeev Kumar (Abraham) is pulled into a covert operation that spans continents, ideologies, and fractured alliances, the lines between right and wrong begin to blur. Abraham said he had one of the most intense and layered roles of his career in 'Tehran' ''Tehran' is a truly global film—rooted in real events but resonating far beyond borders. Playing ACP Rajeev Kumar in 'Tehran' has been one of the most intense and layered roles of my career as he is not your conventional patriot. He's a man constantly torn between duty and conscience, and that moral conflict is what makes this story so compelling," he said in the statement. Raashii Khanna Joins Farhan Akhtar In Action Drama 120 Bahadur
Last Updated: Raashii Khanna joins Farhan Akhtar in the war drama 120 Bahadur, set for November release. The film focuses on the Battle of Rezang La during the Indo-China war. Raashii Khanna has officially signed on to star opposite Farhan Akhtar in the upcoming war drama 120 Bahadur, which is set against the backdrop of the 1962 Indo-China War. The film, directed by Shiv Rawail, is centred on the legendary Battle of Rezang La and will see Farhan essaying the role of Major Shaitan Singh, the heroic officer who was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra. Sources close to the project confirmed to Hindustan Times that the actress came on board after impressing the filmmakers with her recent performances. 'Raashii has proved herself with The Sabarmati Report and Yodha, two completely different films and characters. The makers of 120 Bahadur felt that she would be able to hold her ground in a story which is so patriotic and hard-hitting, and bring added depth," said a source close to the production to the media house. While details about her character remain tightly guarded, her role is said to be crucial to the emotional arc of the narrative. The film is being positioned as a tribute to the valour of Indian soldiers, specifically the 120 soldiers of the 13 Kumaon regiment who fought under Major Singh's leadership in one of the most remembered last stands in Indian military history. Farhan Akhtar, who was last seen in Toofaan, had earlier expressed his excitement about returning to Ladakh after two decades. 'I went back to Ladakh to shoot a full-fledged film, 20 years after last filming Lakshya with Hrithik Roshan," he had told HT City. It is scheduled for release in November 2025. 120 Bahadur was shot in Ladakh in a spine chilling minus 10 degrees celsius. 'The team shot at around 14,000 feet in Ladakh, and temperatures often dipped to minus 5, even minus 10 degrees on some days," an industry source had said earlier. The source added, 'The aim was to honour the story with honesty, and Farhan really went all in — physically, mentally, emotionally." Farhan, who will be seen essaying the role of Major Shaitan Singh Bhati (PVC), underwent a significant transformation for the film, including military-style training and acclimatisation at high altitude. '120 Bahadur"is directed by Razneesh 'Razy' Ghai and produced by Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar (Excel Entertainment), and Amit Chandrra (Trigger Happy Studios).
