19 Of Oliva Pope And President Fitz's Hottest Moments From "Scandal"
When I tell you I screamed when I first started this show — I thought that Olivia and Fitz fell in love over time NOT THAT THEY WERE OPENLY HAVING AN AFFAIR! IN THE WHITE HOUSE! From that moment on, I was a changed woman.Season 1, Episode 1: "Sweet Baby"
When Fitz requested, no, DEMANDED for Olivia to call him by his name:
Up until this moment, it's been "Governor Grant" and "Ms. Pope." But this moment on the campaign trail, this was when they became MORE! Fitz really hit her with the "call me by your name and I'll call you by mine." Season 1, Episode 7: "The Trail"
When Fitz asked to spend "one minute" with Olivia on her couch before returning to their real lives:
"One minute" became a house code for Fitz and Olivia. Whenever things got to be too much and they needed a pause to just be two people in love, not a president and a campaign fixer/gladiator, this was their code to one another. Dare I say, whenever they asked the other for "one minute," it was more intimate than any other thing they've done on this list. Season 1, Episode 7: "The Trail"
When Fitz and Olivia, ahem, christened the Oval Office on Fitz's first night as President:
Messy? Yes. Would I have it any other way? Absolutely not.
When Fitz told Olivia that she was never his "mistress" but, rather, "the love of [his] life":
Call him what you want, but you can't call him a man who's not in love! Season 1, Episode 7: "The Trail" and Season 2, Episode 8: "Happy Birthday, Mr. President"
When Fitz and Olivia confessed their love for one another while touching the Constitution:
We The People ship Olitz until the end of our days. Season 2, Episode 8: "Happy Birthday, Mr. President"
When Olivia briefly broke down in Fitz's closet while he was in surgery following his assassination attempt:
When I tell you my heart broke while watching this scene...The love of her life is fighting for his life and she only has this ~one minute~ to break down. (Spoiler alert: Fitz makes it, but Olivia didn't know he was going to at the time!)Season 2, Episode 8: "Happy Birthday, Mr. President"
When Fitz told Olivia that he "waits" and "watches" and "exists" for her:
Shonda Rhimes is the queen of writing men who YEARN!Season 2, Episode 8: "Happy Birthday, Mr. President"
When Fitz and Olivia got it on in the electrical closet — sure, he was mad at her, but his body still wanted her!
At this point in the series, Fitz and Olivia have been on the outs for 10 months following his election scandal coming to light, but this just goes to show that all it takes is one look!Season 2, Episode 14: "Whiskey Tango Foxtrot"
When Fitz took Olivia to Vermont to show her the house he built for them:
In a perfect world, Fitz and Olivia would have escaped from all their problems and made jam in Vermont together in that exact moment, but alas, we had four more seasons of the show to go at the point, so we the audience had to be patient. Season 3, Episode 8: "Vermont Is For Lovers, Too"
Whenever Fitz and Olivia engaged in their late night phone calls:
He called her. On the phone. Every night. And she would wait up for him. Every night. Season 4, Episode 7: "Baby Made A Mess"
When Tom told Olivia about the power she has over Fitz:
Tom, who was Fitz's personal body guard until it came to light that he killed the president's son, barely said three words before this conversation with Olivia. But this convo? What's 4+4 because Tom ATE! We as the audience saw Fitz and Olivia with our own eyes, but this is one of the rare times that we got to see Fitz and Olivia through another person's eyes. Season 4, Episode 7: "Baby Made A Mess"
When Fitz almost went to war in order to get Olivia back:
Call me toxic, but this is hot. Olivia didn't agree, but she cannot deny that this man loves her more than he loves his country. Season 4, Episode 13: "No More Blood"
When Fitz gave Olivia his family ring since he couldn't exactly give her another certain kinda ring while married to Mellie:
On the day of Cyrus' wedding, even though Olivia and Fitz are on the outs, Fitz gives Olivia his family's ring — one he was supposed to give to his wife, but never did (AND THIS WAS BEFORE HE MET OLIVIA). They were meant to be before they even knew the other one existed. Another nice tidbit about this ring is that we see Olivia wearing it from the PILOT and we, the audience, don't find out the significance until four seasons later!Season 4, Episode 17: Put A Ring On It
When Olivia showed up to the White House finally ready to be with Fitz:
Four seasons in the making! Never mind that it all went to shit the following season — for one blissful moment, we were happy!Season 4, Episode 22: "You Can't Take Command"
When Fitz sat with Olivia and "watched her choose him":
So often in the series, we saw Fitz's actions when it came to choosing Olivia over Mellie, over his job, over his country. This time, she chose him. She allowed for Abby to throw her under the bus in the press room in order to protect Fitz's reputation and, in turn, give them a future. If that's not love, than I don't know what is! Season 5, Episode 3: "Paris Is Burning"
When Fitz and Olivia got married (in their alternate timeline):
What is a fantasy? Yes. Did I eat it up? Also, yes. Season 6, Episode 10: "The Decision"
When Olivia gave Fitz this very public goodbye as he exited the White House at the end of his term:
It was bittersweet, but after two presidential terms as scandalous lovers, it was nice to see them have a moment in the sun together.Season 6, Episode 18: "Transfer of Power"
When, after seven seasons of trials and tribulations, Fitz and Olivia can just be:
The show ended on an ambiguous note, but I'm choosing to believe that Fitz whisked Olivia off to Vermont so they could finally live their lives together.Season 7, Episode 18: "Over A Cliff"
Watch all seven seasons of Scandal on Hulu.

Best bites and sips from the Big Eat in Denver
The annual Big Eat — one of Denver's top foodie events — never fails to wow the palate with bold flavors. Dig in: This year's event featured more than 70 local food and beverage vendors, including acclaimed restaurants like Olivia, Lucina and Mizuna. Best bites: I went to check out the spread. Here were my favorites: Riot BBQ serves Texas barbecue with a Mexican twist, celebrity chef Manny Barella told us. And he delivered with juicy smoked pulled pork with esquites cornbread. Blackbelly brought the perfect one-two punch with its lardo and stonefruit toast topped with Colorado peaches. That paired nicely with a gazpacho shooter featuring tomato water, cucumber and chile. Samosa Shop surprised us with its hearty but delicate kesar mango salad made with farro, asparagus chutney vinaigrette and pomegranate.

For Late Night, Epstein-Trump Is the Comedy Gift That Keeps On Giving
Welcome to Best of Late Night, a rundown of the previous night's highlights that lets you sleep — and lets us get paid to watch comedy. Here are the 50 best movies on Netflix right now. The Hits Keep Coming New footage of Jeffrey Epstein being questioned by the government in 2010 emerged this week — 'and you'll never guess whose name came up,' Josh Johnson said on Thursday. 'Go ahead — guess.' In the video, the multimillionaire financier and convicted sex offender is asked if he'd ever 'socialized with Donald Trump in the presence of females under the age of 18,' and responds by asserting his Fifth, Sixth and 14th Amendment rights. 'I'm going to put that down as a 'yes,'' Johnson said. 'I'll be honest, I've never heard anybody plead anything other than the Fifth before. But this guy's so guilty, he's calling out every amendment he can think of, like, 'No, no, no, what's the one with the women voting? Uh, 19th? Throw that in, too.'' — JOSH JOHNSON 'Wow. Not a great sign when the pedophile is being asked if you're doing a pervert ride-along, and their response is, 'I'd like to invoke the entire Constitution, the Magna Carta, the Napoleonic Code, and just to cover my bases, let's throw in the entire Cheesecake Factory menu.' — STEPHEN COLBERT 'So, we don't know if he was doin' the creepy crimin', but we do have a cover-up. And just like the cover-up on his face, it is patchy, and there's something really ugly under there.' — STEPHEN COLBERT 'Jeffrey Epstein died back in 2019, but not since Tupac Shakur has a dead man dropped so many bangers.' — JOSH JOHNSON Want all of The Times? ‘The View' co-host warns Colbert cancellation could lead to the ‘dismantling of our Constitution'
'The View' co-host Sunny Hostin warned on Tuesday that CBS canceling Stephen Colbert's 'Late Show' could be the start of the 'dismantling of our Constitution.' CBS announced Thursday 'The Late Show' will end in May at the end of its broadcast season. Though CBS and parent company Paramount said the choice to cancel the series was 'purely a financial decision,' and the show was reportedly losing the network $40 million a year, many liberal commentators claim it was for political reasons. Just days before the cancellation, Colbert slammed Paramount's recent settlement with President Donald Trump over his lawsuit against '60 Minutes' as a 'big fat bribe' ahead of a pending merger between Paramount and Skydance Media. Hostin and her fellow co-hosts were also skeptical of CBS' explanation for canceling Colbert's show based on the 'timing' of the announcement. She pointed out that if politics were involved, then the fabric of democracy could be in jeopardy. 6 Hostin and her fellow co-hosts were also skeptical of CBS' explanation for canceling Colbert's show based on the 'timing' of the announcement. 6 Just days before the cancellation, Colbert slammed Paramount's recent settlement with President Donald Trump over his lawsuit against '60 Minutes.' The Late Show with Stephen Colbert 'My concern is, if it is political, then everyone should be concerned. People on the right should be concerned. People on the left should be concerned. Because it's very clear that, if it is political, this is the dismantling of our democracy. This is the dismantling of our Constitution. Right?' Hostin said to the cheering of the studio audience. She continued, 'The First Amendment is the First Amendment for a reason and that is freedom of the press, freedom of speech. Freedom to speak truth to power. If that is taken away, if the comedians are being attacked, then that means our Constitution is being dismantled… That means the very rubric of our democracy is being dismantled. And I think every single person should be really, really concerned about it.' 6 She continued, 'The First Amendment is the First Amendment for a reason and that is freedom of the press, freedom of speech. 6 Protestors holding signs that read 'Colbert Stays! Trump must go!' and include images of Stephen Colbert, Joe Biden, and Donald Trump. 6 If that is taken away, if the comedians are being attacked, then that means our Constitution is being dismantled. Hostin praised Sens. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., and Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., for speaking up on the issue and demanding answers. Several other high-profile Democrats also spoke out against canceling Colbert, whose show was openly favorable to their party while hostile to Republicans. 'We must protect our Constitution and we must protect our democracy! This is bigger than just the cancellation of a television show!' Hostin exclaimed. Her co-host Joy Behar blamed Trump for Colbert's cancellation and warned 'all bets are off' if comedians are taken down. 6 Her co-host Joy Behar blamed Trump for Colbert's cancellation and warned 'all bets are off' if comedians are taken down. 'It's always been the role of the court jester to make fun of the king. That is the role of comedians. I have said on this show, I think I said it years ago, when they start coming for the comedian, all bets are off, because the king is supposed to take the hits and this guy has a skin thinner than, I don't know, than this card,' Behar said, holding one up. Colbert fired back against Trump on his show Monday night after the president celebrated his show ending on Truth Social, writing, 'I absolutely love that Colbert got fired. His talent was even less than his ratings. 'How dare you, sir?' Colbert responded. 'Would an untalented man be able to compose the following satirical witticism? Go f— yourself.'
