Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav to leave for Dubai today for investment outreach
As per the release, Yadav will leave for Dubai on Sunday afternoon. Soon after reaching, he will meet several well-known people to tell them about the strengths of Madhya Pradesh. He will speak about investment, education, and building strong cultural ties between Madhya Pradesh and Dubai. He will also meet members of the Indian community living there.
During his visit, Yadav will also visit a temple in Dubai whose foundation stone was laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Apart from this, he will also hold the first international roadshow in Dubai.
Yadav's visit will start with several meetings. There will be important discussions along with lunch in the initial meeting. Reliance Group SR Vice President Farhan Ansari, as well as Arab Parliament Speaker Mohammad Al Yamahi will also be present in this meeting. In this meeting, topics like strategic investment cooperation, education, youth exchange program, parliamentary dialogue and cultural friendship between Madhya Pradesh and Dubai will be discussed. After this, Yadav will hold a meeting with the Indian business delegation in Dubai.
The Chief Minister will visit the grand BAPS Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi. The foundation stone of this temple was laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in February 2024. This temple is the first traditional stone-built Hindu temple in the Middle East region. It is a living symbol of spiritual tolerance and cultural harmony between India and the United Arab Emirates. In the evening, the 'NRI and Friends of MP Samvad' program will be held at the Taj Hotel, Dubai. More than 500 NRI entrepreneurs, professionals, cultural representatives and prominent institutional members will participate in it. This event will not be just a formal dialogue, but will be an extension of the spirit of Chief Minister Yadav through which he will urge the diaspora community to reconnect with their roots, enrich the state with their experiences and make them partners in the development of their state. This strategic engagement will form a solid foundation for future social and industrial investment. Chief Minister Yadav will also hold the first international road show of 'Industry and Employment Year 2025'.
Next day, Chief Minister Yadav will hold one-to-one meetings with various global groups. In these discussions, the possibilities of joint ventures, technical cooperation and FDI projects in areas like food processing, renewable energy, logistics, IT, urban infrastructure, mining, textile and tourism will be considered.
Investors are showing special interest in projects related to farm-to-market supply chain, infrastructure, solar-green energy, cold chain logistics, data centres, smart city models, rare earth mineral processing, export-oriented textile hubs and development of religious tourism. The same evening, 'Invest in Madhya Pradesh-Business Forum' will be organised at the Taj Hotel.
In this, the state government will present its new industrial policies, logistics network, skill cluster, textile park, MSME zone and major tourism investment schemes to global investors. Through this forum, the preliminary outline of investment proposals, MoUs and possible joint projects will also be discussed. (ANI)

Air India crash: Victims entitled to compensation, regardless of fault
While the initial findings of the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) into last month's Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad did not explicitly attribute the incident to pilot error, insurance industry experts have stated that, even if pilot error were the cause, it would not affect insurance claim payouts. Regardless of whether the cause is pilot error or any other form of systemic failure, the victims remain eligible for compensation, they said. The Air India Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner crashed in Ahmedabad a month ago, killing 260 people, including those on board the flight and those on the ground, with only a single survivor from the incident. 'The insurance amount has to be paid by the airline because even if it was pilot error that caused the accident, that is covered in the policy. The insurance amount has to be paid irrespective of the scenario. Also, some of the victims have approached a UK law firm to get better compensation,' an insurance broker told Business Standard. The only case where there could be a change in the insurance payout is if Air India's management were found to have been aware of the accident. Only if the accident was deliberate by the airline would there be any change in the payout. 'A pilot's mistake does not change anything. The insurance is still payable. Only if the management has deliberately crashed the aircraft or were aware of the pilot's condition, people might be eligible for higher compensation. But, it is too early to comment on it,' another insurance broker told Business Standard. Typically, an aviation claim includes three kinds of liabilities: damage to the aircraft; loss of lives on board the aircraft, including the crew members; and third-party liability for loss of lives caused by the crash. It also includes cargo liability. The third-party liability compensation for those who lost their lives is governed by the Montreal Convention, which applies to most international flights. Under the Convention, airlines are strictly liable for damages up to a certain threshold—currently around SDR 128,821, or approximately ₹1.50 crore per passenger—and can be held liable for higher amounts if negligence, including pilot error, is proven. Industry experts have estimated insurance claims to the tune of $475 million, with $125 million for the hull and the remaining $350 million for liability, which includes third-party liability as well. The major part of the claims will likely be borne by global reinsurers, as aviation policies are typically structured with primary insurers transferring a significant portion of the risk through reinsurance arrangements. State-owned GIC Re is responsible for about 5.15 per cent of the $475 million—4 per cent from obligatory cession and 1.15 per cent written through its London branch. It will make the provision in Q1, which will be less than ₹200 crore. Air India had insured its fleet for $20 billion with Indian insurers, including TATA AIG General Insurance, ICICI Lombard General Insurance, New India Insurance, and other state-owned general insurance companies. TATA AIG has provided coverage for 30-40 per cent of the risk and is the lead insurer among the primary insurers.

Patna to Howrah Vande Bharat Express train gets 20-coach rake; check ticket price, stoppages and more
20 Coach Vande Bharat, 20 Coach Vande Bharat Express Train: Good news for rail passengers! Indian Railways (IR) has raised the coach composition of Patna to Howrah Vande Bharat Express train. Flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 24, 2023, this semi-high-speed train is being operated and maintained by the East Central Railway (ECR) zone. It also becomes the longest Vande Bharat Express train of the zonal railway. Developed by Chennai-based Integral Coach Factory (ICF), this 20-coach ultra-modern train has been introduced by replacing the 16-coach Patna to Howrah Vande Bharat Express. Speaking to a senior railway official has confirmed the same. The official added that the coach composition has been increased in view of the demand and for passenger convenience. 'Train number 22348/22347 Patna-Howrah-Patna Vande Bharat Express is running with 20 coaches instead of 16 now,' the official said. The Patna to Howrah Vande Bharat Express train covers a distance of 532 km in 06:35 hrs. The train runs on all days of the week except Wednesday. During its journey between Patna and Howrah, the Vande Bharat Express train stops at eight stations. These are — Patna Saheb, Bakhtiyarpur, Mokama, Luckeesarai, Jasidih, Jamtara, Asansol and Durgapur. Train number 22348 Vande Bharat Express departs from Patna at 08:00 hrs and reached Howrah Junction at 14:35 hrs. On its return journey, train number 22347 leaves Howrah at 15:50 hrs and reaches Patna Junction at 22:40 hrs. The Patna to Howrah Vande Bharat Express train has two types of seating arrangements – AC Chair Car and Executive AC. The ticket price for travelling between Patna and Howrah is Rs 1515 for AC Chair Car and Rs 2735 for Executive Chair Car.
