Arizona Cardinals named one of NFL's most interesting teams in 2025
Bleacher Report named the eight most interesting teams in the NFL. See where the Cardinals are ranked. The Arizona Cardinals want to be relevant in 2025. They led the NFL West last season after 10 weeks but lost five of their final seven games. They made big moves on defense in the offseason. Now they hope to get over the hump and make the postseason. It should make for an interesting season, and Bleacher report agrees. Naming the eight most interesting teams in the NFL entering this season, the Cardinals come in at No. 5. Arizona Cardinals 5th most interesting team in 2025 The Cardinals doubled their win total from four in 2023 to eight in 2024 before continuing their rebuild with the addition of several potential immediate-impact defenders, including key draft picks Walter Nolen III and Will Johnson. Meanwhile, on offense, they're praying that veteran quarterback Kyler Murray stays healthy and takes another big step forward with shiny sophomore receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. and revelation tight end Trey McBride. This team would still likely have its work cut out for it in tougher divisions, but the 49ers are dealing with substantial losses after a disastrous season and the Rams and Seahawks are fringe contenders at best. Arizona could easily be positioned to make a surprise run at the NFC West crown and could even be a potential playoff spoiler. And at the very least, I'd expect to see plenty of fireworks in Cards games in 2025. Here's how I see it. They were a "good" bad team in 2023 and won four games. They were the definition of mediocre last season, losing to playoff teams and beating almost everyone they faced who didn't make the postseason. They won eight games and had a bad defense and pretty good offense, albeit inconsistent. Their talent on defense is significantly better and the offense should continue to be good. If the defense is better (it will be), they will win more games. And they could have made the playoffs last year. The Cardinals will certainly be an interesting team to watch in 2025. Trout hits tying homer and Newman adds 3-run shot in 7th as Angels beat Nationals
Mike Trout hit a tying homer that sparked a six-run seventh inning, Kevin Newman added a three-run shot and the Los Angeles Angels rolled to an 8-2 victory over the Washington Nationals on Saturday night. Kyle Hendricks gave up one run in five innings and rookie Christian Moore delivered the go-ahead single with two outs in the seventh. Gustavo Campero also homered for the Angels. CJ Abrams went deep for the Nationals, and Michael Soroka pitched six innings of two-hit ball. Washington took a 2-1 lead in the seventh on Riley Adams' RBI single off Ryan Zeferjahn (5-1). Trout connected against Zach Brzykcy (0-1) leading off the bottom half for his 13th home run. Los Angeles then sent 11 more batters to the plate in the inning, with Taylor Ward (double), Jo Adell (single) and Moore contributing important hits. Newman, batting ninth, launched his first homer this season off Eduardo Salazar for a 6-2 lead. Luis Rengifo's double and Ward's bases-loaded walk made it 7-2. Campero homered in the eighth. The Angels took a 1-0 lead in the second when Ward was hit by a pitch and scored on Logan O'Hoppe's double-play grounder. The Nationals tied it in the fifth on Abrams' 12th homer. Soroka struck out five and walked one in a no-decision. Key moment Salazar struck out O'Hoppe and got Zach Neto to pop out with runners on first and third in the seventh and was one strike from escaping the jam when Moore hammered a 1-2 fastball above the zone for an RBI single and a 3-2 Angels lead. Key stat Soroka entered with a 3.49 ERA through five innings and a 22.85 ERA in the sixth. But after giving up Newman's leadoff single in the sixth, the right-hander started a 1-6-3 double play on Rengifo's grounder and got Nolan Schanuel to pop out to preserve a 1-all tie. Up next Nationals left-hander Mitchell Parker (5-8, 4.59 ERA) opposes Angels right-hander Jack Kochanowicz (3-8, 5.49) in Sunday's series finale.

Rivals Five-Star: Breaking down the tight ends
INDIANAPOLIS – The stars came out for the 2025 Rivals Five-Star event at the Indianapolis Colts' facility this week. Here we break down the top tight ends from the event. The elite tight end prospect was warming up and went through the majority of position drills when he pulled his hamstring and was unable to work out the rest of the day. Prothro was visibly disappointed but his physical development, which was the biggest question mark surrounding his ranking, was obvious. He weighed in at 216 pounds and, despite the pulled hamstring, even participated in the bench press competition where he recorded nine reps of 225 pounds. Georgia is trending in Prothro's recruitment but Auburn and a handful of other teams are in pursuit. The caliber of defender Georgia commit Lincoln Keyes faced at Five-Star was new to him and it was good for the national analyst team to evaluate him under these conditions. The Michigan native is a very impressive prospect with great hands and the ability to make tough catches over the middle and down the field. He'll be a very reliable target for Georgia quarterbacks when he gets on the field in Athens but that could take some time. Keyes has a well-rounded game but he could find it difficult to consistently create separation from defenders when he reaches the next level. That being said, the style Keyes plays with would complement Prothro's skillset beautifully, if both do end up signing with Georgia. The two highly ranked tight ends were frequently seen chatting and playing catch during the down time on Tuesday. That relationship appears to be fairly strong and could pay dividends for the Dawgs down the road. SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH GEORGIA FANS AT Holden Niemi was a late addition to the Rivals Five-Star roster and took advantage of the opportunity to make a strong impression. The 2027 prospect out of Illinois is fairly well-developed from a physical perspective and showed strong athletic traits throughout the workout on Tuesday. Adjusting to the variety of quarterbacks seemed to be a bit challenging for him at times, which resulted in passes falling incomplete. Niemi is only heading into his junior season so there is plenty of time for him to make adjustments to his game before he reaches the next level. He is, however, on the smaller side when it comes to the trends that have emerged in the NFL Draft for tight ends so keeping an eye on his physical growth will be a focus going forward. Tennessee tight end commit Carson Sneed posted impressive measurements during registration on Monday and he had plenty of bright spots on the field Tuesday. At 6-foot-6, 246 pounds, Sneed is fairly lean but plays with a great deal of strength, which showed when linebackers and defensive backs bounced off of him as they tried to disrupt his routes. He isn't the most natural receiver but there is plenty of potential to get excited about, which is surely part of the reason why Florida, North Carolina and others are trying to pry him away from the Volunteers. The Gators appear to be making some headway but it's hard to count out North Carolina at this point in the recruiting process. SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH TENNESSEE FANS AT
