Jurassic World Rebirth box office collection day 6: Scarlett Johansson's blockbuster hits Rs 50 cr mark in India, earns more than double of Metro In Dino
As per industry tracker Sacnilk, the lion's share in the total domestic box office collection of Jurassic World Rebirth comes from the native English version. However, on Tuesday, when the film earned Rs 4.5 crore across all four languages, the Hindi dubbed version (Rs 2.05 crore) surpassed the English one (Rs 1.85 crore) for the first time in its five-day run.
The Tamil and Telugu dubbed versions followed, respectively. The language-vise distribution of the Wednesday earnings hasn't been ascertained yet, but it'd be interesting to observe whether the Hindi dubbed version has edged past the native English one yet again. Jurassic World Rebirth became the first Hollywood film to have a Hindi premiere last week at Raj Mandir, Jaipur on Thursday, July 3.
Interestingly, the first instalment of the massive seven-part Jurassic franchise, Steven Spielberg's Jurassic Park (1993), was one of the first-ever Hollywood films to be dubbed in Hindi. Jurassic Park's monstrous success spewed a franchise which included: The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997), Jurassic Park III (2001), Jurassic World (2015), Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018), Jurassic World Dominion (2022), and most recently, Jurassic World Rebirth.
Scarlett Johansson has taken over the lead actor duties in the Jurassic franchise from her Marvel co-star Chris Pratt. After a record-breaking opening weekend at the global box office at $318 million, Jurassic World Rebirth allowed Johansson to become the highest grossing lead actor in Hollywood history, beating fellow MCU stars Pratt, Robert Downey Jr, and Samuel L Jackson, along with Tom Hanks.
Starting this Friday, July 11, Jurassic World Rebirth will face fresh competition at the Indian box office, from Pulkit's gangster film Maalik, starring Rajkummar Rao, in the Hindi market, but mainly from James Gunn's superhero reboot Superman, starring David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan.

Co-produced by Universal Pictures and Spielberg's Amblin Entertainment, Jurassic World Rebirth also stars Mahershala Ali and Jonathan Bailey. The film, set in 2027, revolves around a group of adventurous junkies visit a far-away island to retrieve biomaterial samples from three rare dinosaur breeds to come up with a new heart disease treatment.

A third person reassures Punjabi that language is never a barrier in Gujarat. 'Koi problem nahi. Kya problem hai? Hum log Hindi mein bolenge na' (There's no problem. Is there one? We can talk in Hindi). It's the last interviewee who impressed netizens the most: 'Dekho, desh toh ek hi hai. India hai. Language alag alag hai. Par bolo prem se toh baat ek hi hai' (See, the country is one. It is India. Languages are many. But if we speak with love, everything is the same), he says. Sachin Tendulkar's portrait unveiled at Lord's MCC museum
London: A new portrait of Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar was unveiled at the MCC Museum at Lord's ahead of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy third Test match between England and India. Painted by British artist Stuart Pearson Wright, the artwork captures a larger-than-life image of Tendulkar's head and shoulders and will remain in the museum before being moved to the Pavilion later this year. This is the fifth portrait of an Indian player in the MCC's famous collection and the fourth painted by Pearson Wright. Unlike his earlier full-length paintings of Kapil Dev, Bishan Bedi and Dilip Vengsarkar, this portrait takes a different approach with a close-up composition and an abstract background. Before the start of the third England vs India Test, Sachin Tendulkar had the honour of ringing the iconic five-minute bell at Lord's. Introduced in 2007, the tradition is one of cricket's most cherished, reserved for players who have left a lasting mark on the game - making Tendulkar a fitting choice for the occasion. The painting is based on a photograph the artist took at Tendulkar's home in Mumbai 18 years ago.
