The New York Mets enter the month of August leading the National League East by a half-game over the Philadelphia Phillies. They made several key moves at the trade deadline to boost their chances of a postseason run. The Mets were busy in upgrading their bullpen, landing Tyler Rogers, Ryan Helsley and Gregory Soto. They also acquired Cedric Mullins to boost their outfield. The rest of the season looks promising for New York as they try to maintain their lead in the NL East over the Phillies. NY Giants Rookie Leaves Practice With Mysterious Setback

"He's been elite out there," Dart said on 'Up & Adams' following practice on Tuesday. "I knew coming into it, when you watch the Texas game, he caught the fade against a really good safety against Texas. He kind of was able to shield him off and catch that over his outside shoulder, so that was already super impressive from what I saw." Over the past four seasons, Skattebo worked his way up the college ranks. He started his NCAA run at Sacramento State in 2021. After playing there for two seasons, Skattebo transferred to Arizona State in 2023. As a junior, Skattebo took on 164 carries for 783 yards. He totaled nine touchdowns on the ground and picked up another one in the air. During his senior season, Skattebo appeared in 13 games. He took on a career-high 293 carries and produced 1,711 yards. Skattebo reached the endzone 24 times throughout the year, with 21 of those scores coming in the ground game. He caught 45 passes for 605 yards. It's unclear if Skattebo's early exit will keep him off the field for an extended period. It will be a situation to keep an eye on as the Giants' training camp continues.
