Yemeni Ballistic Missile Strikes Ben Gurion Airport, Israelis Flee to Bunkers

Al Manar19-07-2025
In support for the oppressed Palestinian people and their resistance, and in response to the crime of genocide perpetrated by the Zionist enemy against the people in the Gaza Strip, the missile force of the Yemeni Armed Forces carried out a qualitative military operation targeting Lod Airport (Ben Gurion) in the occupied Yaffa (Tel Aviv) region using a 'Palestine 2' hypersonic ballistic missile, the military spokesman General Yahya Saree said.
The operation successfully achieved its goal, thanks to Allah, causing millions of herds of usurping Zionists to flee to shelters and halting airport operations, he added.
The Yemeni Armed Forces called on all the people of the Arab and Islamic nation to come out in support of Gaza, 'as their pain has intensified and their fear has increased, as they are subjected to an unjust, unending siege and a sinful, relentless aggression.'
'If you cannot stand up for your religion, then stand up for your Arab identity. If you cannot stand up for your Arab identity, then stand up for your humanity. If the criminal enemy succeeds in implementing its plan in Gaza, your turn will come sooner or later … O Allah, let this be reached out, O Allah, bear witness.
Our operations will continue until the aggression against Gaza stops and the siege is lifted, General Saree maintained.

Watch: Activist boat Handala seized off Gaza brought to Israel

Israeli forces brought the pro-Palestinian activist boat Handala into the port of Ashdod on Sunday, after seizing the vessel in international waters and detaining the crew, an AFP journalist saw. Campaigners from the Freedom Flotilla Coalition had attempted to breach an Israeli naval blockade of the Palestinian territory of Gaza, but were intercepted late Saturday. The legal rights center Adalah told AFP its lawyers were in Ashdod and had demanded to speak to the 21-strong international crew, which includes two French parliamentarians and two Al Jazeera journalists. 'Israeli forces intercepted the Handala in international waters at around midnight on 27 July 2025 and contact with the activists was lost. This peaceful civilian mission was dedicated to the children of Gaza,' the group said. 'This ship, which sailed as part of the Freedom Flotilla Coalition, is part of the coalition's ongoing efforts to break Israel's illegal and deadly blockade on the Palestinian people in Gaza.' Earlier, the Israeli foreign ministry said the Israeli navy stopped the Handala to prevent it from entering the coastal waters off the territory of Gaza. 'The vessel is safely making its way to the shores of Israel. All passengers are safe,' it said. Just before midnight local time on Saturday, video live stream broadcast from the Handala showed Israeli troops boarding the vessel. An online tracker showed the ship in international waters west of Gaza. The ship had been on course to try to break an Israeli naval blockade of Gaza and bring a small quantity of humanitarian aid to the territory's Palestinian residents. The Handala's crew had said before their capture in a post on X that they would go on a hunger strike if the Israeli army intercepted the boat and detained its passengers. On board were activists from 10 countries, including two French MPs form the left-wing France Unbowed party, Emma Fourreau and Gabrielle Cathala. A previous boat sent by Freedom Flotilla, the Madleen, was also intercepted by the Israeli military in international waters on June 9 and towed to Ashdod. It carried 12 campaigners, including prominent Swedish activist Greta Thunberg. The activists were eventually expelled by Israel.

US criticizes French release of Georges Abdallah

by Naharnet Newsdesk 27 July 2025, 12:11 The United States bas criticized the release from a French prison of pro-Palestinian Lebanese militant Georges Ibrahim Abdallah, who spent more than 40 years behind bars for the alleged killings of two diplomats, one of them American. Abdallah was detained in 1984 and sentenced to life in prison in 1987 for his alleged involvement in the murders of U.S. military attache Charles Robert Ray and Israeli diplomat Yacov Barsimantov in Paris. Earlier this month, a French appeals court ordered Abdallah's release on the condition that he leave French territory and never return. He left a prison in southwest France on Friday and later arrived in his hometown in Lebanon. "The United States opposes the French government's release and expulsion to Lebanon of convicted terrorist Georges Ibrahim Abdallah," State Department spokeswoman Tammy Bruce said in a statement on social media. "His release threatens the safety of U.S. diplomats abroad and is a grave injustice to the victims and the families of those killed. The United States will continue to support the pursuit of justice in this matter," she added. While Abdallah had been eligible for release since 1999, his previous requests were denied as the United States -- a civil party to the case -- had consistently opposing his leaving prison. Abdallah, who is Lebanese of Maronite Christian heritage, has always insisted he is not a "criminal" but a "fighter" for the rights of Palestinians, whom he said were targeted, along with Lebanon, by the United States and Israel.

Israeli troops board Gaza-bound activist boat

by Naharnet Newsdesk 27 July 2025, 11:44 Israeli troops boarded a boat which the pro-Palestinian activist group Freedom Flotilla had been sailing towards Gaza on Saturday, Israel said, a scene that was livestreamed by the group. "The Israeli navy has stopped the vessel Navarn from illegally entering the maritime zone of the coast of Gaza," the Israeli foreign ministry posted on X. "The vessel is safely making its way to the shores of Israel. All passengers are safe." The activists' own broadcast showed them sitting on deck, holding their hands up and whistling the Italian anti-fascist song "Bella Ciao", as the soldiers took control of the vessel. Three video live feeds of the scene, which had been broadcast online, were cut minutes later. The ship had been on course to try to break an Israeli naval blockade of Gaza and bring a small quantity of humanitarian aid to the territory's Palestinian residents. In a message on social media, the Freedom Flotilla Coalition declared: "'Handala' has been intercepted and boarded illegally by Israeli forces whilst in international waters," using an alternative name for the boat. Israel had earlier vowed to enforce its blockade of Gaza, and its statement Saturday said "unauthorized attempts to breach the blockade are dangerous, unlawful, and undermine ongoing humanitarian efforts." An online tracking tool set up to plot the Handala's course showed the boat's position as roughly 50 kilometers (30 miles) from the Egyptian coast and 100 kilometers west of Gaza when intercepted. The Handala was carrying 19 activists, including European politicians, and two Al Jazeera journalists, who were able to broadcast from the vessel until shortly before its interception. Two French lawmakers were among those detained, Emma Fourreau and Gabrielle Cathala. Their party leader, Jean-Luc Melenchon of France Unbowed (LFI), condemned Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. "Netanyahu's thugs boarded Handala. They attack 21 unarmed people in territorial waters where they have no right. A kidnapping in which two French parliamentarians are victims," he posted on X. Melenchon demanded the French government take action. Gaza is facing severe shortages of food and other essentials, with the United Nations and NGOs warning of an imminent famine. The Handala's crew said in a post on X that they would go on a hunger strike if the Israeli army intercepted the boat and detained its passengers. The last boat sent by Freedom Flotilla, the Madleen, was intercepted by the Israeli army in international waters on June 9 and towed to the Israeli port of Ashdod. It carried 12 campaigners on board, including prominent Swedish activist Greta Thunberg. The activists were eventually expelled by Israel.
