Will Smith takes aim at Chris Rock with savage Oscar slap lyric in cringey freestyle
Will Smith blasted Chris Rock as nothing but a 'joker' in his 'Fire in the Booth' freestyle rap I Am the Illest, which he performed with Charlie Sloth three years after his violent assault against the comedian onstage the 94th Academy Awards. 'Now I'm not the type of man to move in malicious ways / and I am too grown to play childish games / but if you talking crazy out your face up on the stage and disrespect me on the stage,' the disgraced 56-year-old rapped on June 22. 'Expect me on the stage.' Will (born Willard) continued: 'Jokers dish it out, cry foul when it's time to take it / city full of real ones wasn't raised to fake it.' Smith slapped the 60-year-old Selective Outrage funnyman and warned him to 'keep my wife's name out of your f***ing mouth' after he delivered a G.I. Jane joke about Jada Pinkett Smith 's bald head, which was a result of alopecia. Curiously, the Tantrum rapper avoided mentioning or even referring to the 53-year-old Worth author in his freestyle rap despite her being the very reason for his so-called 'chivalrous' outrage. The disgraced 56-year-old rapped on June 22: 'Now I'm not the type of man to move in malicious ways / and I am too grown to play childish games / but if you talking crazy out your face up on the stage and disrespect me on the stage' Aside from throwback snaps, Will and Jada haven't been physically pictured together since the Hollywood premiere of Bad Boys: Ride or Die way back in May 2024. On January 30, People reported that Smith and Pinkett - who were secretly separated from 2016-2022 - 'are still together' but 'living their own lives' in different homes. The hot-tempered Oscar winner seems internally divided on whether he's truly contrite or defiant over slapping Chris, but the subject has crept into his new songs as well as being slapped three times by his Bad Boys co-star Martin Lawrence in their movie. Hours after the shameful 2022 altercation, Will neglected to apologize to Rock in his acceptance speech, and then he went to the Vanity Fair Oscar Party in Beverly Hills where he celebrated and sang along to his own songs. But the very next day, Smith resigned from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, which banned him from attending any of their events - in person or virtually - until 2032. 'Change takes time and I am committed to doing the work to ensure that I never again allow violence to overtake reason,' the West Philly native said in a statement at the time. 'My actions at the 94th Academy Awards presentation were shocking, painful, and inexcusable. The list of those I have hurt is long and includes Chris, his family, many of my dear friends and loved ones, all those in attendance, and global audiences at home. 'I betrayed the trust of the Academy. I deprived other nominees and winners of their opportunity to celebrate and be celebrated for their extraordinary work. I am heartbroken.' On June 18, Will told BBC Radio 1Xtra that he's done a lot of 'internal work' and 'deep reflection' and 'took a big, strong, honest look at myself.' 'The addiction to the approval of others that I had to dissolve, it was brutal. It was just like there was a manhole cover over some unexplored areas and the manhole cover came off. 'It was scary for a minute what was in there. But then all of a sudden, all these new thoughts, new energies, new creativity came through like a geyser and it started showing up as music.' Unfortunately for the four-time Grammy winner, his first album in 20 years - Based On A True Story - failed to chart in any major territory with Pitchfork blasting it as 'excruciatingly corny' and Rolling Stone calling it 'cringey, clunky, and dated.' Will - who gets 11.8M monthly listeners on Spotify - is next scheduled to bring his 26-date Based On A True Story UK/European Tour to Spanish music festival Granca Live Fest in Las Palmas this Thursday. Smith's upcoming acting projects include long-delayed sequels to his early aughts blockbusters I Am Legend and Hancock, as well as sci-fi thriller Resistor for Sony Pictures and Michael Bay's amnesia action flick Fast and Loose for Netflix.

Orlando Bloom embraces bachelor lifestyle in pyjamas for Jeff Bezos wedding
Orlando Bloom appeared to have put his recent split with Katy Perry behind him as he donned an eye-catching outfit when attending the wedding of Amazon boss Jeff Bezos Orlando Bloom appeared care-free as he jetted off to Venice to enjoy the wedding of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez. But it was only a few days ago that it was confirmed the 48-year old actor had split with Katy Perry following their nine year relationship. The father of one was pictured in a black and white polka-dot matching pyjama set as he casually lounged back on a speed boat that was taking him along the Venice canal. With the top unbuttoned, Orlando completed his look with a black vest top teamed with jewellery around his neck. Earlier that day, the actor famed for his role in Pirates of the Caribbean, was seen taking a leisurely stroll with Tom Brady and actress Sydney Sweeney. The day before Orlando attended the nuptials of Jeff and Lauren on his own as Katy fulfilled her tour commitments. And according to US Weekly, a source close to the pair, who share a daughter together, said the couple split amicably. The source told the publication: "Katy and Orlando have split but are amicable. It's not contentious at the moment. Katy is of course upset but is relieved to not have to go through another divorce, as that was the worst time in her life." The source continued that the end of their nine year relationship had been a long time coming as the pair were virtually living separate lives since the singer has been on tour. The insider explained their relationship had been "tense for months" and they've been "living apart since Katy has been on tour." The couple first started dating back in 2016 while at the Golden Globes but a year later they split. At the time a joint statement was released that read: "Before rumors or falsifications get out of hand, we can confirm that Orlando and Katy are taking respectful, loving space at this time." But Katy's tweet was far more direct as she wrote at the same time: "HOW BOUT A NEW WAY OF THINKING FOR 201? U can still b friends & love ur former partners! No one's a victim or a villain, get a life y'all!" By 2018, the couple had reconciled and Orlando popped the question with a diamond a ruby engagement ring. The pair decided to share the news with fans by posting a zoomed in picture of themselves with the ring firmly in shot.

Three big names top Amazon's James Bond casting wishlist
Amazon MGM are reportedly circling three huge names to replace Daniel Craig as James Bond. The long-running franchise made a monumental step towards its next instalment this week, with the appointment of Denis Villeneuve as director. Announcing that the Dune filmmaker would be helming the next film in the series, head of Amazon MGM Studios Mike Hopkins said: 'We are honoured that Denis has agreed to direct James Bond's next chapter. 'He is a cinematic master, whose filmography speaks for itself.' Since then, speculation has gone into overdrive as to who might play Villeneuve's Bond – with some suggesting he might tap up Dune collaborator Timothée Chalamet to take the role. According to Variety, the studio and producers have their own wishlist in mind – and it's between actors Jacob Elordi, Tom Holland and Harris Dickinson. 28-year-old Jacob hit the stratosphere as the star of the 2023 hit Saltburn, appearing opposite Barry Keoghan as the object of creepy Oliver Quick's affections. With the publication reporting that producers are looking for an actor under the age of 30, Jacob certainly hits the bill in that respect. While Jacob is an Australian, that shouldn't count against him in playing British instruction Bond – underrated 007 George Lazenby was an Aussie too. If Jacob is successful, this should more than make up for him missing out on a starring role in James Gunn's upcoming Superman reboot. Marvel Cinematic Universe star Tom Holland, 29, previously threw his own name into the hat, admitting that he'd 'love' to play Bond. 'I'm just putting that out there,' he teased in 2021, adding: 'I look pretty good in a suit.' And, as the MCU's own Spider-Man, Tom is no stranger to explosive franchise filmmaking. English actor Harris, 29, has had a strong run of hits recently, starring in Triangle of Sadness, The Iron Claw and Babygirl in the last three years alone. As of April this year, Harris's odds were listed as 9/1 to score the elusive license to kill. 'The 28-year-old already has a very impressive portfolio of work and has received critical acclaim for his acting alongside Nicole Kidman,' said Betfred spokesperson Robert Ford. Earlier this year, it was announced that Harris will step into the shoes of another British icon – playing John Lennon in Sam Mendes' upcoming Beatles biopic. With producers circling their Bond, speculation has also been rife as to who might be the next Bond girl. While some speculated that Zendaya could appear opposite Villeneuve's future Bond, her Dune: Part 2 co-star Florence Pugh has edged her out of the top spot. According to the Midsommar star is the favourite to be the next Bond girl, at odds of 8/1. 'I think everyone's always interested in playing a spy, right?' she told Digital Spy. 'That's something we grow up admiring, which is so strange, but it's just a very clever and quick world that we all want to be a part of.' As the only name formally attached to the new film, Villeneuve has responded to the announcement of his new gig, promising that the franchise is in safe hands. More Trending 'Some of my earliest movie-going memories are connected to 007,' he said in a statement released soon after the news broke. 'I grew up watching James Bond films with my father, ever since Dr. No with Sean Connery. I'm a die-hard Bond fan. To me, he's sacred territory. He described the opportunity 'a massive responsibility, but also, incredibly exciting for me and a huge honour.' Got a story?
