Marius Borg Høiby, the 28-year-old son of Norway's Crown Princess Mette-Marit and stepson to Crown Prince Haakon, heir to the throne, is accused of three rapes and several sexual assaults. He was arrested three times last year, including for violating a restraining order and due to the risk of evidence being lost. The Norwegian police investigated Høiby for ten months before finally handing the case over to the prosecutors. Though his mom is married to a royal, Høiby does not have a royal title or duties.
'During the investigation, we have both received reports that have led to an investigation, and investigated cases that the police have come across in the investigation material along the way. Criminal cases have been investigated within several categories of cases, including violent and sexual offenses,' Oslo Police District said in a statement.
The statement further lists that he is charged with several counts of sexual assault and rape.
"I cannot go into further detail about the number of victims in the case beyond confirming that it is a double-digit number," police attorney Andreas Kruszewski told the BBC.
Høiby's lawyer, Petar Sekulic, however, said that his client is "taking the accusations very seriously, but doesn't acknowledge any wrongdoing in most of the cases - especially the cases regarding sexual abuse and violence".
The Royal House of Norway stated that the case is proceeding through the legal system but didn't provide further details.

Kamala Harris buys a multi-million dollar mansion in California? MAGA activist's big claim

Former Vice President Kamala Harris is once again in the crosshairs of right-wing activist Laura Loomer. Rumors Swirl Around Kamala Harris's Living Arrangements After Recent Luxury Getaways and Election Loss (Photo by MARIO TAMA / GETTY IMAGES NORTH AMERICA / Getty Images via AFP)(Getty Images via AFP) '@KamalaHarris is moving into a new multi-million dollar mansion in Brentwood, CA near OJ Simpson's old property (where the glove was found) after her campaign was left with millions of dollars in debt. Where did she get millions of dollars from?' MAGA activist Laura Loomer posted on X (formerly Twitter). Loomer's tweet, which quickly gained traction among MAGA supporters online, has reignited familiar speculation around Harris's post-political future and finances, particularly after her loss to Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election. Ex VP's statement sparks fury amid anti-ICE protests While there's no public record confirming that Harris has purchased a property in Brentwood or elsewhere in California, it hasn't stopped the internet from buzzing. Harris apparently eyed NYC after Hawaiian reset Adding fuel to the rumor mill is the fact that Harris has recently been associated with a string of luxury getaways and possible moves, including a post-election escape to Hawaii. According to Harris and her husband Doug Emhoff spent six days at an exclusive $7 million estate in the upscale Mauna Kea resort on the Big Island. The couple reportedly paid $1,300 a night to rent the stunning five-bedroom home, which features ocean views, a private pool, hot tub, and a secluded location in the Fairways South neighborhood. A listing on the rental website describes it as part of a resort community designed for 'a luxurious and secluded vacation experience,' offering accommodations ranging from 'oceanfront studios to four-bedroom condominiums and private estates.' This has led many to believe the couple may be eyeing the Big Apple as their next home after Harris officially hands over the vice presidency to J.D. Vance on January 20.

At Least 13 Pakistani Soldiers Killed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Suicide Attack

New Delhi: At least 13 Pakistani soldiers were killed in a suicide attack in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province today (June 28). While Reuters has reported a toll of 13, other outlets have reported a higher number – 16. A local government official told the news agency AFP that a suicide bomber drove an explosive-laden vehicle into a military convoy. The attack took place in the province's North Waziristan district. As many as 29 people – 10 army personnel and 19 civilians – are reportedly injured. Six children are among those injured. Some outlets have reported that the Pakistani Taliban has taken responsibility for the attack. The Tehrik-e Taliban Pakistan (TTP), also known as the Pakistan Taliban, is an alliance of formerly disparate militant groups that came together in 2007 following Pakistan military operations against Al-Qaida-related militants. The group operates along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border. This comes days after Pakistan was appointed chair of the UN Security Council's 1988 Sanctions Committee, which monitors sanctions targeting the Taliban, and vice-chair of the 1373 Counter-Terrorism Committee.

13 soldiers killed, 10 injured as suicide bomber rams military convoy in northwest Pakistan, attack was carried out by…

A deadly suicide bombing in Pakistan's North Waziristan district killed 13 soldiers and injured 29 others, including civilians, local officials told news agency AFP. According to the government official, who did not want to be named, a man drove a vehicle filled with explosives into a military convoy. The huge blast killed 13 soldiers, wounded 10 more army men, and hurt 19 civilians nearby. A police officer said the explosion was so strong it made the roofs of two homes fall in, injuring six children inside. Four of the wounded soldiers are in very serious condition. The attack was carried out by the suicide bombing group of Hafiz Gul Bahadur, a breakaway faction of the Pakistani Taliban. Why has violence increased in Pakistan's border areas Violence has increased sharply in Pakistan's border areas with Afghanistan since the Taliban took control of Kabul in 2021. Pakistan blames Afghanistan for letting armed groups use its land to plan attacks, though the Taliban denies this. So far this year, about 290 people—most of them security forces—have been killed in attacks by militant groups in the provinces of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, according to figures collected by AFP. In March, the Pakistan Army said it killed 10 fighters linked to the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) after a suicide bombing at a Frontier Corps camp near the Jandola checkpost in South Waziristan, as reported by Geo News. That same month, fighters from the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) attacked the Jaffar Express train near Gudalar and Piru Kunri. The attack killed 21 passengers and four members of the paramilitary force. Terror-related deaths in Pakistan Terror-related deaths in Pakistan have risen sharply. The Global Terrorism Index 2025 reports that Pakistan saw a 45 per cent increase in such fatalities, from 748 in 2023 to 1,081 in 2024, making it the second worst-hit country in the world by terrorism.
