Poco F7 could be Redmi Turbo 4 Pro, India launch approaching
Poco seems to be preparing for the launch of its next F-series device, the Poco F7, with signs pointing towards an imminent debut in India. The smartphone has reportedly appeared in local certification databases, hinting that the brand is almost ready to introduce it to one of its biggest markets. While the company has not officially confirmed the India launch, past trends and the arrival of the Poco F6 in the country make it likely that the F7 will follow suit.advertisementInternationally, the Poco F7 has surfaced on the FCC, further signalling a broader rollout in the coming weeks. Though the listing doesn't reveal much beyond a basic look at the phone's front, it adds weight to speculation that a global launch is not far off. What makes the F7 even more interesting is the growing buzz around it being a rebranded version of the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro, which launched in China last month. If Poco sticks to the same specifications, buyers can expect a powerful combination of hardware and software. The phone could sport a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a high refresh rate of 120Hz, a resolution of 1280x2772 pixels, and a peak brightness that may reach 3,200nits.
The device is tipped to be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, which could be paired with options of 12GB or 16GB of RAM and storage configurations ranging from 256GB to 1TB. On the camera front, the Poco F7 may offer a 50-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilisation, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 20-megapixel front camera for selfies.advertisementBattery life is expected to be another strong point, with a large 7,550mAh unit and support for 90W fast charging. Reverse wired charging of 22.5W is also likely. The device could ship with Android 15 pre-installed, layered with Xiaomi's new HyperOS skin.If rumours are accurate, Poco may announce the F7 officially before the end of May. Given its potential specifications, the phone could become a strong contender in India's competitive mid-premium segment, especially if priced under Rs 30,000.

Forget power banks, smartphones with massive 8,500 mAh batteries coming soon
We have seen phones coming out recently with huge batteries. We're talking 7,000 mAh and even 7,550 mAh in some cases. It is safe to say these are notably larger than what we see in flagships these days, which top out at around 5,000 to 6,000 mAh. Poco F7 comes with a 7,550 mAh battery, and the Realme GT 7 sports a 7,000 mAh unit.(Shaurya Sharma / HT) This expansion has primarily been attributed to advancing silicon-carbon tech, which makes it possible to include larger capacity batteries in a smaller surface area. This is why you are seeing huge batteries in smartphones that are, more or less, a similar size to normal phones. But what if we told you that there could be plans in the future to bring even larger batteries, with as much as 8,500 mAh capacity? This information comes from the tipster Digital Chat Station. 8,500 mAh batteries in phones: What we know so far The tipster, citing supply chain sources, says that the battery capacity of upcoming next-generation smartphones could reach as much as 8,500 mAh for single-cell designs by next year, 2026. There is also preliminary research at the lab stage, where 9,000 mAh batteries are seemingly being tested. Now, how will these batteries gain such a huge capacity without increasing in size? Well, it could primarily lie with the fact that the silicon content in these batteries could increase from the current percentage, which revolves around 10%, and this may be boosted to around 25 to 30%. There is also potential talk about metal-shell batteries, which also offer larger capacity, but the volume remains the same. So, all in all, this is good news for people who want no battery anxiety and who do not like to charge their phones. But the interesting part is that we have already had smartphones with 7,500 mAh batteries, so this is definitely not a far-fetched dream. These smartphones already offer huge batteries If you think about large batteries in phones released recently, a few names immediately come to mind. The Poco F7 was released earlier in June, and it offers a huge 7,550 mAh battery. You can check out the unboxing here, as well as the comparison with the Realme GT 7. Speaking of the Realme GT 7, it is another phone with a massive 7,000 mAh battery. So, if you think about it, we have already seen huge batteries in phones, and all of these are notably powered by silicon-carbon batteries. The direction that the smartphone industry is taking in this regard already seems to be towards large batteries becoming a reality. MOBILE FINDER: iPhone 16 LATEST Price

As per last week's report by 9To5Google, images of the upcoming Nothing Headphone 1 have surfaced online, suggesting that it will carry forward the company's signature transparent aesthetic. The design appears to include squarish ear cups with soft, rounded edges—reminiscent of Apple's AirPods Max—enhanced by transparent panels that reflect the brand's visual identity. The headband includes a cushioned top section, and the ear cups are designed to fold flat for easy storage. According to reports, the right ear cup includes two physical control buttons, while the left features 'Sound by KEF' branding—confirming Nothing's collaboration with the British audio firm. Functionally, the headphones are expected to support Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), along with high-fidelity audio codecs like AAC (Advanced Audio Coding) and LDAC (Lossless Digital Audio Codec). Battery life could extend up to 80 hours with ANC disabled. Nothing Come to Play: Livestream
