During Paris Men's Fashion Week on Sunday, they were deep in conversation while actress Gillian Anderson was sandwiched between them.
McConaughey was spotted leaning over Anderson to talk to Roberts, who made a shocked expression as they seemingly talked about something funny, as seen in a TikTok clip posted by Jacquemus.
Meanwhile, Anderson had a stoic expression with a slight grin on her face as she sat awkwardly between them.
At one point, the Scream Queens star — who channeled her inner ballerina as she modeled a tutu-inspired skirt at the runway show — dramatically dropped her jaw in response to something McConaughey told her.
Also in attendance at the show was McConaughey's wife Camila Alves.
Lori Harvey, rapper Stormzy, French-Malian singer Aya Nakamura and singer Rema were also front and center at the spectacular runway show.
At the show, Roberts put on a leggy display, channeling her inner ballerina as she wore a white tutu tulle skirt teamed with a chic grey top.
She was the epitome of class, adding pointy black stilettos as she posed for striking snaps ahead of the runway event.

The Crown alum beamed gently for the lens, rocking a pair of cream sunglasses before joining other celebs at the Menswear Spring/Summer 2026 runway.
The Salt Path icon and Roberts were later on snapped rubbing shoulders at Jacquemus' front row where also the likes of Stormzy and Matthew McConaughey were in attendance.

It started out as an amusing segment in local variety show on TV but is now the latest cultural zeitgeist. Debates were waged online about who should win, with the closest contender being Linda from Lugo. 'Gallega is the fans' favourite but Linda has my vote,' one user said. Yep, I agree - Linda's features are much more refined than Gallaga's!' someone replied. One user joked: 'Are you even European if you don't have a cow beauty contest?' 'Now I understand the point of the beauty contest wow,' another added. Linda was from the heartland of Rubia Gallega and was on a winning streak from the judges, with 12 top prizes since 2006. But in the end, Boneca triumphed both for herself but also bringing awareness to her breed which is often revered for its meat quality. Superman-actor Henry Cavill reportedly bought 20 of Boneca's breed after speaking out about how incredible the meat was. After she collected her prize, 'she ran for the truck because she wanted to go home and eat' Ms Sobrado said. Miss Vaca is not the only animal beauty pageant contest to have made headlines. A series of pageants on the Arabian Peninsula have celebrated the beauty of the dromedary, or one-humped camel. Interest in camel beauty competitions has grown since the boom of oil production during the 20th century, as camels became associated with status and wealth. Pageant contestants are housed away from the sun and fed milk, wheat, honey and dates before the competition. During the contest itself, a handful of judges appointed by Omani Camel Racing Federation inspect the camels, consult with each other, and rank the animals. The whole scoring process is qualitative, and at no point do the judges write a score or explain the reasoning behind their decisions. More than 20 body measurements are taken across the head, upper body, front and rear, as well as general appearance and colour. Each of these is scored to give a maximum total of 100 points. In 2017, some 30,000 camels competed in the King Abul Aziz Camel Festival in Saudi Arabia, which has a prize pool of around AU$45 million.

It has a story and a history, and for someone who wants to be taken seriously as a style tastemaker, there's great value in that. The term 'archive' is a looser adjective than 'vintage', which refers to goods that are more than 20 years old, but it also speaks to something with status; a high-end, limited-edition, catwalk item that is as collectable as fine art. Naturally, celebrities like Ceretti aren't spending their free time scouring vintage stores in the hope of finding a hidden gem. In fact, it's usually a stylist helping them craft an image and aesthetic identity, advising them what to wear when – this investment pays off when they land a lucrative ambassador role for a high fashion or jewellery house. Gill Linton, the Paris-based chief executive and editor-in-chief of Byronesque, a platform that sources and documents archival fashion, is more cynical. 'What they think they are saying by wearing archival pieces is that they are authentic and creative,' she tells The Telegraph. 'What they are actually saying, in this context, is that they are above contemporary collections and haute couture.' Linton is part of a growing industry of sourcers and vintage dealers whose closely-guarded networks help them unearth these treasures. They'll be commissioned by celebrities' stylists to find specific pieces that they know will have an impact on the red carpet. 'Something scarce from fashion history is a different kind of bragging right that the internet can get involved in with old runway and editorial images,' she says. 'The clothes are celebrities in their own right, to make people seem more authentic than they actually are.' Take Naomi Campbell at Cannes last year. Working with stylist Law Roach, she wore a vintage Chanel couture dress that she herself had modelled on the catwalk in 1996. Then there was Jennifer Lawrence, who wore a vintage Givenchy lace gown to the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party that Kate Moss had worn on the catwalk in 1996. Or how about Sabrina Carpenter, who wore a Bob Mackie dress that Madonna wore to the Oscars in 1991 – the gown was originally inspired by Marilyn Monroe's look in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. Lady Gaga, Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, Scarlett Johansson are also among the celebrities to have worn archive fashion on the red carpet. This list doesn't even touch on the many celebrities wearing new couture creations that are based on archive pieces that are too fragile to actually wear – perhaps that would have been a better course of action for Ceretti, who later shared the rips in her dress on her Instagram stories – or indeed Kim Kardashian, who made headlines in 2022 for risking the delicate stitching of a £4 million Bob Mackie gown that had been worn by Marilyn Monroe, by wearing it to the Met Gala. For her part, Ceretti's clearly into archival fashion. On Thursday, she was spotted in the streets of Venice wearing a 1990s Betsey Johnson dress. Nor was she the only one to have worn archive to the Bezos wedding celebrations. Kylie and Kendall Jenner both wore Roberto Cavalli archive to the pre-wedding party, and the bride herself wore a 2003 Alexander McQueen dress for dinner on Wednesday night before the celebrations kicked off. Safe to say, the phrase, 'This old thing?' is out of style. Instead, the fashion savvy answer to a compliment is: 'Thanks, it's archive.'
