American Pickers has a premiere date for Season 27, the show's star Danielle Colby told Newsweek.
The Context
American Pickers quickly became a History Channel hit following its debut in January 2010. The series follows collectors in search of unique artifacts in small towns and back roads throughout the United States.
The show was first hosted by Mike Wolfe and his childhood pal, Frank Fritz, while Colby—who is also a longtime friend of Wolfe—worked as his office manager for his antique store, Antique Archaeology.
Following Fritz's death in September 2024, the show has continued with Wolfe's brother, Rob Wolfe.

American Pickers' new season will premiere on July 2 on the History Channel, Colby told Newsweek.
"It is confirmed! It is July 2," they said.
Season 26 concluded in January, and fans have been waiting patiently for the next season to begin.
While speaking with Newsweek, Colby—who prefers "they/them" pronouns—revealed their favorite memories from the show. "I just love our time on the road because our time in the road is freedom," they said. "We have an opportunity to just kind of absorb ourselves in what we love."
They added that the "Mole Man" episode from Season 1 was their "favorite," noting that their conversation with Wolfe was something "nobody else is privy to."
"Mole Man" aired in March 2010 and featured "Mole Man" Ron, a collector with a 26-room underground storage space.
"Those conversations were incredible, and it was a magical moment for TV, and it was a magical moment for all of us because we were all experiencing something new and different as well."
What People Are Saying
In an interview with People in March, Wolfe said American Pickers would go on hiatus after filming wraps in June: "We haven't done that in 15 years, so that's going to feel good. For 15 years, we have just been going and going and going... I think we're going to have at least four or five months off, so it's going to be good."
What Happens Next
On Saturday, June 21, Colby opened their burlesque museum called the Ecdysiast Arts Museum in Davenport, Iowa. They told Newsweek that their husband, Jeremy Scheuch, and their children, Miles and Memphis, pitched in to help ahead of its grand opening.
American Pickers Season 27 returns on Wednesday, July 2, at 9 p.m. ET on the History Channel.

Owner Not Prepared for What Causes Dog's 'Herding Instinct' To Kick In
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. On a farm in Oregon's Willamette Valley, one Australian shepherd dog is redefining what it means to be a working canine by herding the newest member of the farm crew: an automated lawn mower. Four-year-old Australian shepherd Aussie was quick to assign herself a role when the Clery family introduced a robotic mower to their land. In a heartwarming viral video, she was captured when her "herding instincts" kicked in, following the mower like her life depended on it. "We had just gotten the automower when we realized that Meadow had started to see it as maybe one of the other animals on the farm," her owners, who remained anonymous, told Newsweek. "Actually, how the dogs would react to our new robot friend was a big question: would they chase it, bark at it? But it has this very friendly vibe, and everyone, including the cats, likes to watch it slowly and methodically do its thing," the owner said. Meadow the dog taking her herding duties seriously with the automower. Meadow the dog taking her herding duties seriously with the automower. @cleryfarm/TikTok On Instagram, the video has been viewed more than 280,000 times as Meadow followed the machine. After hours of patiently shadowing the mower as it trimmed its route, Meadow even guided it back toward its charging station. "The little head-flick, though, when Meadow seems to be trying to tell the mower, 'Go on, into your charging spot,' was particularly touching and hilarious," her owner said. "Animals are so smart." Australian shepherds, often affectionately called "Aussies," were officially recognized as a breed by the American Kennel Club (AKC) in 1991, and today, they are the 12th most popular breed in the U.S. Contrary to their name, Australian shepherds were not developed in Australia. They were primarily refined in the American West in the 19th and early 20th centuries when ranchers and farmers needed intelligent, energetic dogs capable of herding livestock across rugged terrain and vast ranch lands. Today, while many Australian shepherds still work on farms and ranches, many others have found roles in agility sports, obedience competitions, search-and-rescue missions, and even therapy work. This isn't the first time Meadow has leaned into her instincts. When the farm first introduced goats, she quickly took on the role of evening wrangler, nudging them gently into their pen at night. And when the younger family dog—a spirited rescue named Maple—snatched a bird from its nest, Meadow swiftly intervened, taking the feathered animal and protecting it until her humans could safely return it. "She's strong, fast, fearless and incredibly intuitive," her owner said. "But more than anything, Meadow just loves having a job to do, even if that job is babysitting the lawn mower."

Rachel Zegler Breaks Down After 'Evita' Performance
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Rachel Zegler broke down in tears after receiving a standing ovation for her performance in Evita. Newsweek contacted Zegler's representative for comment via email on Tuesday. The Context Zegler, 24, stars as Argentine politician Eva Perón in a revival of Evita at the London Palladium. The original production by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice debuted in 1978. The Snow White actress previously came under fire over her comments about the live-action remake. In a 2022 interview with Extra, she criticized the animated version of the film. "The original cartoon came out in 1937 and very evidently so. There's a big focus on her love story with a guy who literally stalks her. Weird. Weird!" Zegler said. "So we didn't do that this time." Zegler, who won a Golden Globe for her performance in West Side Story, has also received backlash over her stance on the ongoing conflict in Gaza. In May 2021, she wrote on X, formerly Twitter, "It will always be free palestine." Following President Donald Trump's electoral victory in November, Zegler issued a foulmouthed tirade against him, receiving further criticism in the process. She appears to say, "I don't know what to do," and one of her colleagues puts his hand on her back. At the time of publication, @fabxo's post had racked up more than 381,000 views, and Zegler herself liked the post. User @ZeglerSource, a fan account on X, also posted the clip, garnering another 1.3 million views. X user @DiscussingFilm raked in an additional 3.4 million views. In an interview posted on Evita's official Instagram account, Zegler told director Jamie Lloyd that she was "quite obsessed" with the musical growing up. She added that her dad used to sing "Don't Cry for Me Argentina," one of the show's hit songs, around the house. What People Are Saying Instagram user @doodledwarf commented on the viral video: "This must've meant so much more to her after the snow white movie's backlash." User @peachysweetplinth said: "Oh she's so precious." User @leobessauer wrote: "After all the hate she's been through, she's finally back to where she belongs, the stage, to clapping audience." I can't imagine how she must feel having her dreams come true." What Happens Next Zegler is set to star in Evita for 12 weeks. On July 14, July 28, August 11 and August 25, her castmate Bella Brown is scheduled to play the role of Eva Perón.
