Hyderabad: The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Sphoorthy Engineering College is organizing a self-financed three-day Faculty Development Program (FDP) on "Introductory Universal Human Values (UHV)" from 8th to 10th May 2025 under the guidance of AICTE.
The sessions are being facilitated by Ms. Ridhi Chirag Sachade (Resource Person), Ms. G. Prashanthi (Co-facilitator), and Dr.Ishrat Meera Mirzana (Observer), all from the NCCIP AICTE Regional Panel (RP) team.
Secretary and Correspondent Shri S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, Principal Dr. V. S. GiridharAkkula, and IQAC Coordinator Dr.Gayathri addressed the participants and emphasized the importance of Universal Human Values in higher education.
Universal Human Values (UHV) aim to promote ethical competence, clarity in human relationships, and a deeper understanding of harmony in individual, social, and environmental dimensions. Rooted in self-exploration, the UHV framework helps educators and students alike to cultivate a sense of purpose, responsibility, and well-being, which are essential in shaping a holistic educational environment.
Faculty members from various departments are actively engaging in this enriching and reflective learning experience, aimed at fostering value-based education and holistic development.

The Government College of Education, Sector 20-D, Chandigarh, inaugurated its three-day faculty development programme (FDP) on 'Inculcating universal human values in higher education' in collaboration with the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The FDP will continue until July 25. The event saw participation from over 60 faculty members from colleges across Chandigarh and adjoining states. (HT Photo) The programme aims to integrate value-based education into the teaching-learning process and foster holistic development in the higher education system. Principal and patron, Sapna Nanda, emphasised the importance of integrating value-based education in higher learning and expressed her pleasure in hosting such a transformative initiative. Vivek Atray was the chief guest at the event. He highlighted the core of human values, emphasising that real contentment extends beyond material success. Citing the life of John Rockefeller, he explained how self-realisation and service bring inner peace. He urged educators to lead by example, nurturing ethical and value-based learning among students. The FDP is being conducted under the guidance of Ajay Kumar Pal as the resource person, Manisha Gupta as co-facilitator, and Yashveer as observer. The local programme coordinators, Sheojee Singh and Nisha Singh of Government College of Education, Sector 20-D, are coordinating the event. In the academic session on the first day, Ajay Kumar Pal focused on holistic development, self-exploration, and the role of education in higher learning. He engaged participants with reflective questions on happiness, prosperity, and sustainability, and introduced a value-based framework consisting of right understanding in the self, harmony in relationships, and alignment with nature—core elements for achieving mutual happiness and prosperity. The following session led by Manisha Gupta discussed harmony within the human being through the lens of the 'Story of Stuff', critiquing consumerist attitudes.

QIS Engg College hosts five-day FDP

Ongole: A five-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) officially began on Monday at QIS Engineering College here. The programme, a collaborative effort between the National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research (NITTTR), Chennai, and QIS Engineering College, is being held in the college's Ramanujan Seminar Hall. Dr Nidamanuri Surya Kalyan Chakravarthy, Head of the Institution, and Dr Nidamanuri Sri Gayathri, Executive Vice-Chairman, announced the commencement of the FDP. The FDP aims at enhancing teaching methodologies, with sessions specifically designed to raise awareness among faculty members on Pedagogical Strategies for the 21st Century. These sessions will delve into the essential changes and strategies needed in teaching in response to current trends and developments in education. Prof KS Giridharan and Dr M Anil Kumar from NITTTR are serving as the key resource persons for the programme, sharing their expertise with the participating faculty. The event is being overseen by Dr Satya Meher, Dean of Academics at QIS Engineering College, and is presided over by the college principal, Dr YV Hanumantha Rao. Heads of Departments (HODs), Deans, and Directors were also present at the inaugural ceremony, underscoring the college's commitment to faculty development.

KLH Aziznagar Hyderabad is set to organise a Five-Day Faculty Development Program (FDP) titled 'The English Classroom in the Digital Age: Opportunities and Challenges' from June 16 to 20, 2025. Organized by the Department of English, KLH, this academic event is being held in collaboration with the Department of Literatures in English, English and Foreign Languages University (EFL-U), Hyderabad, and the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, NIT, Warangal. The program is designed to equip faculty members and research scholars with the necessary knowledge, tools, and strategies to engage effectively with the rapidly evolving educational landscape shaped by digital advancements.
