‘Foundation' Sets Season 3 Premiere Date At Apple TV+; Watch Teaser Trailer
Nearly two years after Season 2 of Apple TV+'s Foundation aired, we now have a release date for Season 3 of David S. Goyer's epic saga, starring Jared Harris, Lee Pace and Lou Llobell. The third season of the sci-fi drama will debut on Friday, July 11. The 10-episode season will premiere globally with one episode on on Apple TV+, followed by new episodes weekly, every Friday through September 12. The streamer also released the first teaser trailer, which you can view above.
Based on Isaac Asimov's trilogy, season 3 continues the epic chronicle of a band of exiles on their monumental journey to save humanity and rebuild civilization amid the fall of the Galactic Empire.

Set 152 years after the events of season two, The Foundation has become increasingly established far beyond its humble beginnings while the Cleonic Dynasty's Empire has dwindled. As both of these galactic powers forge an uneasy alliance, a threat to the entire galaxy appears in the fearsome form of a warlord known as 'The Mule' whose sights are set on ruling the universe by use of physical and military force, as well as mind control. It's anyone's guess who will win, who will lose, who will live and who will die as Hari Seldon, Gaal Dornick, the Cleons and Demerzel play a potentially deadly game of intergalactic chess.
New Season 3 cast includes Emmy-winner Cherry Jones, Brandon P. Bell, Synnøve Karlsen, Cody Fern, Tómas Lemarquis, Alexander Siddig, Oscar-winner Troy Kotsur and Pilou Asbæk. They join returning cast members Laura Birn, Cassian Bilton, Terrence Mann and Rowena King.
Foundation is produced for Apple by Skydance Television. Goyer also serves as executive producer, with Bill Bost, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Matt Thunell, Robyn Asimov, David Kob, Christopher J. Byrne, Leigh Dana Jackson, Jane Espenson and Roxann Dawson also serving as executive producers.
Seasons 1 and 2 of Foundation are streaming globally on Apple TV+.

Charlize Theron 'wrote a beautiful e-letter' to co-star Uma Thurman
Uma Thurman received a "beautiful e-letter" from Charlize Theron before joining the Old Guard 2 cast. The 55-year-old actress stars alongside Charlize, 49, in the new superhero film, and Uma has revealed how she came to join the project. Speaking to Extra, Uma shared: "[Charlize] sent me a beautiful e-letter and I read the script, and the first Old Guard was awesome." Uma was also drawn to the idea of filming more action scenes. During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Charlize quipped: "My children have zero respect for me. "It's just unbelievable, I feel like I'm pretty humble, but every once in a while I'm like 'there's a f****** Oscar right there.' They are so not impressed with me." Charlize noted that one of her kids is more impressed by another well-known movie star. The Oscar-winning actress - who has adopted daughters Jackson, 12, and August, nine - said: "My kids were with me when I shot Old Guard 2 and I worked on this incredibly intricate sequence where we brought in this amazing helicopter pilot, Fred North, and we were gonna choreograph this incredible me fighting helicopters and jumping on this real helicopter and hanging off. Shooting 99 percent of it on a real helicopter as it's trying to shake me off like a rag doll. "We took like two weeks to shoot this sequence and I was like, 'Wow, I just did that, that's really amazing.' And my child yesterday just looked at this poster of Tom Cruise and went, 'It's weird, he looks so much cooler than you did when you were hanging off the helicopter.'"

Charlize Theron Talks About Threats To Human Rights
You know actor Charlize Theron. She's starring in The Old Guard 2, the action-packed sequel to the 2020 Netflix adaptation based on Greg Rucka's comic book series. But Charlize doesn't just play a badass in action movies; she's quite the actionable activist in her everyday life. On June 28, at the fifth annual Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Program Block Party in Los Angeles, the Oscar winner's remarks about LGBTQ and women's rights, immigration, and cuts to foreign aid were very compelling. "The world feels like it's burning because it is," she said, according to Variety. "Here in Los Angeles, in the US and across the globe, we are moving backwards fast." "Immigration policy is destroying the lives of families, not criminals," the UN Messenger of Peace continued. "Women's rights are becoming less and less every day, queer and trans lives are increasingly being erased, and gender-based violence is on the rise. This isn't just policy, it's personal. Fuck them." "Foreign aid cuts brought HIV and AIDS programs in my home country of South Africa to an absolute standstill," Charlize said. "All of this is not just detrimental, it's dangerous. People will lose their lives. Many have already unfortunately and at a frightening rate. It's absolutely heartbreaking to see this kind of unnecessary suffering." While Charlize's speech highlighted very concerning issues, she closed her speech by addressing how activism can work toward a solution. "What we also see, what we cannot miss, is the resistance," she said. "There is hope, there is power in all of us standing up, organizing, protesting, voting and caring for each other, and refusing to accept that this is the new normal." CTAOP was established in 2007 to support young people living in South Africa, where Charlize is from. According to Variety, the organization's "programs have reached more than 4.5 million youth and granted $15 million to organizations in southern Africa." While CTAOP's mission is focused on South Africa, Charlize explained their work is to value all humanity, everywhere. "That spirit of resistance, justice and care for each other, that's the spirit that drives the work at CTAOP," she said. "Although our focus is on the youth in southern Africa, what we're really talking about here tonight is that all lives should be valued. Everyone should have the right to be healthy and safe and should be able to be seen." Talking with Mark Malkin, Charlize said, "It's quite devastating what's going to happen…It's less than one percent of this budget that everyone is talking about and when you compare that to the millions of people that are going to die because of this, it's devastating.
