Even though she enjoys working abroad, living in a foreign country is not something she could ever imagine. Fortunately, I have been able to do work that suits me, and I feel grateful and lucky nonetheless,' she explained.

Nimrat admitted that while critical success is satisfying, the unpredictability of work opportunities is a more pressing concern. She highlighted the challenges faced by many talented actors struggling to find work, stressing that the entertainment industry, like any other profession, involves financial responsibilities such as paying rent and supporting families.
She pointed out that when the market slows down, budgets are reduced, and projects get delayed, impacting livelihoods. For her, the real concern lies in the lack of consistent work and content creation, which directly affects those who have passionately chosen this unconventional career path. According to her,
box office failures
are a secondary worry compared to the broader issue of underemployment in the industry.

Is 'Monica' star Pooja Hegde marking her Telugu comeback in a love story with Dulquer Salmaan? Here is what we know

Picture Credit: X Pooja Hegde is currently receiving rave reviews for her latest special appearance in the song 'Monica' from the much-awaited Tamil action thriller 'Coolie,' starring superstar Rajinikanth. Now, the latest reports suggest that the actress is making her long-awaited Tollywood comeback. According to a report by Gulte, after a long hiatus from Telugu cinema, Pooja is apparently in discussions to star in a new love story opposite Dulquer Salmaan . It sounds like it will mark the directorial debut of Ravi, an unknown from the world of Telugu cinema, and is being produced by the makers of 'Dasara' and the upcoming film 'Paradise.' Although she has not yet signed the dotted line, reports state that Pooja is leaning towards accepting the script and might be signing soon. Pooja's last full-fledged Telugu film was 'Acharya', which she signed back in 2020. She has spent limited time in Tollywood since, making a small appearance in 'F3', and was a member of 'Guntur Kaaram', however, she exited the film during the early production phase. Though she has not had success in Telugu cinema recently, she has a huge fan base. Her last major Telugu success was 'Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo', which remains one of the highest-grossing Telugu films in recent times. Shift to Tamil and Hindi films In the meantime, she has spent the last year working in Tamil and Hindi. In Tamil films, she worked opposite Vijay in 'Beast', and has multiple other projects in the works, such as 'Retro' and the upcoming films 'Jana Nayagan,' and 'Coolie'. If reports are to be believed and Dulquer is a part of the film, then, it will be his third outing after his two super hits with the romance drama 'Sita Raman' and finance drama film 'Lucky Bhaskar'.

‘Maalik' Day 1 box office: Rajkummar Rao starrer off to a modest start

Rajkummar Rao's Maalik is off to a modest start at the box office. The gangster drama, directed by Pulkit, hit the screens on July 11, 2025. According to the Hindi movie collected ₹3.8 crore on the opening day. The earnings pale in comparison with the result of Rao's previous movie, Bhool Chuk Maaf. The Karan Sharma directorial, also starring Wamiqa Gabbi, earned ₹7 crore on its first day. Prosenjit Chatterjee, Manushi Chhillar, Saurabh Sachdeva, Saurabh Shukla, Anshumaan Pushkar, Swanand Kirkire, Rajendra Gupta and Baljinder Kaur are the other actors in the movie. Written by Jyotsana Nath and Pulkit, Maalik revolves around gangsters in the socio-politically charged fields of Uttar Pradesh in the 1980s. The movie opened to mixed reviews from critics and fans alike. The Hindu review of the film said, 'The pacing is problematic, the editing is uneven, and the narrative contrivances are left uncovered. The set pieces are gripping, but their tails sag. At 152 minutes, the picture gets pixellated, and one gets piqued. However, the climax featuring a dancing Prosenjit and a scowling Raj once again injects adrenaline.'
