Royal Cavalry riders qualify for World Endurance Championship
The two riders have qualified in the competition at the French Compiegne Horse -racing organised by the World Equestrian Federation for 160 kilometres.
The race saw tough competitions and a wide participation of horse riders from different countries competing in six stages; the first for 32 kilometres, the second for 30 kilometres, the third for 28 kilometres, the fourth for 21 kilometres, the fifth for 28 kilometres and the sixth for 21 kilometres.
Earlier two other horse riders; Mahmoud Al Foori and Hisham Al Farsi from the Royal Cavalry, have qualified for the upcoming World Endurance Championship, bringing the total number of RC horse riders qualifying for the World Endurance Championship 2026.

ORLANDO-- Hercules scored the winner as Fluminense beat Al Hilal 2-1 in the FIFA Club World Cup here on Friday, securing a place for the Brazilian side in the FIFA Club World Cup semifinals. Fluminense broke the deadlock in the 40th minute, when Matheus Martinelli curled the ball into the top far corner, assisted by Gabriel Fuentes. In the last 15 minutes, Al Hilal players constantly fell down in the box and asked for penalty. But they couldn't convince the referee and Koulibaly was shown a yellow card for diving. In the mixed zone, Koulibaly spoke with confusion. "We did everything to win. Fluminense played very well defensively. I don't understand [referee's decision]. I think everyone saw it, but I don't know why the referee didn't go to check the VAR for me [in the second half]." "Sometimes we want to accept everything, but when you lose like this, I think it was a shame, because it was the chance of our life. I think the referee didn't do his job," Koulibaly added. "If you check the VAR in the first half, you should check it in the second half." Al Hilal coach Simone Inzaghi said it had been unfortunate for his team to lose. "It has been a good World Cup for us, but clearly we leave with a little bit of a bitter taste in our mouth because after what happened in that second half, we deserved much more," he said. Fluminense coach Renato Gaucho said their fans can be proud for wearing a jersey in the street. "We didn't have many chances, but we made the most of them, the entire group worked and were committed."

The superstar footballer signed with the Club in 2022 after the World Cup that year, leaving Manchester United to become a free agent. His deal was for two and a half years. Across all competitions for the club, he has netted 93 goals in 105 matches. The deal made him the highest-paid athlete worldwide and he has been topping this list for last three years, as per Forbes. At the age of 40, Ronaldo's total earnings are estimated to be around $275 million. Showing no signs of ageing and decline, he led Portugal to the UEFA Nations League title earlier this month, defeating Spain in the final. With 932 goals scored already, he is also aiming to reach 1,000 goals. On club level, he has 794 goals while for Portugal, he has found the net 138 times. Even though Ronaldo has won the Arab Club Champions Cup with Al Nassr, he is yet to win the SPL title, as the team finished runners-up in 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons and third in 2024-25 season. The club's sporting director Fernando Hierro said back in May that it was keen to have the superstar sign a new deal and also suggested they had some competition from other clubs to gain the veteran's services once again. His words came after Ronaldo had hinted that the season's finale at Al-Fateh was his last appearance for the club.

The 2,100-metre race, which took place on Sunday evening, featured top-tier contenders from prestigious stables across Europe and the Gulf region. 'Al Marjanah' ridden by jockey Michael Forest and trained by the seasoned French trainer Élisabeth Bernard, delivered a strong performance and remained competitive throughout the race. 'Al Marjanah' claimed the runner-up position behind 'Makhzoom Al Shahania', owned by HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa al Thani, trained by Rohit, and ridden by Jean Bernard. While third place went to 'Majaz', owned by Al Shaqab Racing and ridden by Alexandre Gavilan. The Toulouse race attracted entries from several countries, including Oman, Qatar, France and Spain, reflecting the growing prominence of Arabian horse racing in Europe.
