New GTA 6 delay has been avoided according to Rockstar job listings
Ever since Rockstar pushed back GTA 6 from autumn 2025 to May 26 next year, scarred fans have been dreading the possibility of another delay.
The concerns aren't unwarranted. Rockstar is known for delaying its games, and while it has rarely done so twice for one title, the developer set a new precedent with Red Dead Redemption 2. The western epic was originally slated for the second half of 2017, but it was pushed back twice before it finally came out on October 26, 2018.
For anyone concerned the same could happen with GTA 6, new job listings at Rockstar might help shake off that anxiety – although it's no guarantee.
As pointed out by Rockstar fan account GTA 6 Countdown, the studio's London office is currently hiring for various roles in quality assurance and release management. These include marketing localisation QA testers in a range of languages, including Brazilian Portuguese, Italian, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Polish, and Chinese.
These roles are revolved around providing 'dev support and localisation consultation' to the 'internal development, digital marketing, and publishing teams', and unless the developer has been cooking up some secret game we don't yet know about, it has to be connected to GTA 6.
New Rockstar Games job listing reveals they're preparing for a global marketing campaign, supporting the following languages:- Portuguese- French- German- Italian- Japanese- Korean- Polish- Russian- Spanish (Spain & Latin America)- Chinese (Simplified & Traditional) pic.twitter.com/Ua97TgVZku — GTA 6 Countdown ⏳ (@GTAVI_Countdown) July 1, 2025

Notably, these 11 available roles are all on a 12-month contracts, with the possibility of extensions, which roughly lines up with the launch of GTA 6 on May 26, 2026. More Trending
While it's possible Rockstar could still delay the title again and prepare the global marketing materials in advance, it's certainly an indicator that, right now, it doesn't expect that to happen.
They don't want to employ extra staff longer than they have to, so this is a firm indication that they think it's going to be out in May – especially as they haven't had a hiring spree like this before, for similar roles.
There's a chance these marketing hires could contribute to other games too. A Switch 2 port of Red Dead Redemption 2 has been rumoured for some time, along with a GTA 4 remaster.
Rockstar released a second trailer for GTA 6 shortly after the delay's announcement, which has since racked up over 123 million views on YouTube. There's no clue as to when we might hear anything new.

They include Loris Karius' wife Dilette Leotta, Giusy Meloni, Marialuisa Jacobelli, and Eleonora Incardoni, whom Maceri named specifically. The criticism comes after Maceri published her new book - "F*** Female Empowerment: The Great Mistake of Modern Feminism". In the book she writes: "Personally, I would say that the way female reporters present themselves on the sidelines in Italy is sometimes borderline. "I think women should be sexy, but always with style and class. That's sometimes lacking in Italy. Here, the principle that sex sells applies strongly." Maceri, 31, then doubled down in an interview with Bild, slamming Incardoni for "vulgarity". She told the German outlet: "If you want to speak on an equal level with players and officials, it's not conducive. "Incardona mainly deals with DAZN BET – meaning she presents the betting odds. And she does it very sexy. Sometimes vulgarly." Incardoni has stunned in America with her outfit choices. After 117 years, Downtown L.A.'s iconic Cole's French Dip is shutting down
It's one of the oldest restaurants in Los Angeles, one of two debated originators of the French Dip and the birthplace of a cornerstones of the city's contemporary cocktail scene. But come next month, Cole's will permanently close its doors. The Downtown L.A. restaurant, a 6th Street mainstay since 1908 that's easily spotted by its neon sign, will cease operations on August 3, 2025. The news surfaced over the weekend—first spotted by DTLA Weekly —and since then, Eater spoke with owner Cedd Moses, who confirmed the plans and cited the lingering impacts of the pandemic, the dual writers and actors strikes, rising costs and local bureaucracy. 'We have cherished our time serving the Downtown community, and will continue to craft great drinks and our renowned French dip sandwiches until we shutter,' Moses said in a statement shared with the publication. If you ever sat in one of Cole's shiny red booths over a late-night plate of garlic fries and an old-fashioned, then you already probably have some sense of the history here, from its famed French dip to its frequent appearances in film and TV (perhaps most beautifully shot on Mad Men) to its purported regulars: Plaques in the men's room boast that gangster Mickey Cohen and novelist Charles Bukowski 'pissed here' (as seen in my photo below from a 2014 visit—so excuse the decade-old smartphone quality). Cole's started service in 1908 as a sandwich shop and bar on the ground floor of the Pacific Electric Building, then a terminal on L.A.'s extensive streetcar system. Though the Red Car eventually went away, Cole's persisted, and as it entered its second century in service, it found a new place in L.A.'s culinary scene. Moses's ownership group Pouring With Heart (then 213 Hospitality) scooped up the venue in the aughts and unveiled its renovation in 2008; a year later, the Varnish began serving some of the city's finest cocktails in the backroom, an early entry among L.A.'s contemporary crop of speakeasy-style bars (it shuttered last year). But its biggest claim to fame just might be as the inventor of the French dip—supposedly. As the story goes, back in 1908 chef Jack Garlinghouse dipped a hand-carved sandwich into the meat's juices to soften up the French bread, and thus the French dip was born. But Chinatown's Philippe the Original, which opened in 1908 as well, also lays claim to the French dip, when a decade later one was accidentally dropped into a roasting pan. So which is the actual originator? Because there's no hard evidence in either's camp, we'll likely never know.

Iconic British rockstar is forced to cancel performance due to 'dangerous' safety concerns
One of the UK's most iconic rockstars has been forced to cancel a show, due to 'dangerous' weather conditions. Sting, 73, had been due to perform at Parco Ragazzi del '99, a park in Bassano del Grappa, a city in North East Italy, on Sunday. However, the city's Mayor advised that the event should be postponed, due to warnings of severe thunderstorms, with a possibility of 'lightning and extremely high winds', which sparked concern from organisers. Sting himself took to social media to share news of the gig's cancellation with fans. He said: 'The mayor of Bassano del Grappa wisely said it would have been too dangerous for the performance to take place with the possibility of lightning and extremely high winds last night.' 'The safety of my audience, band and crew is paramount. I promise we will return as soon as we can.' While fans were understandably disappointed with the show's cancellation, they praised Sting and organisers for prioritising the fans' safety. Comments included: 'Last night we were very sad but the weather was terrible and safety is the first thing.. we wait for you soon;' 'Safety for you, your band and for us. We're waiting for you next time!!!' 'It was heartbreaking, but you're right, safety first. Can't wait to see you live someday;' 'I was so looking forward to the concert, hopefully it can be re-organised soon!' 'Better safe than sorry. Always. Thank you for looking after everyone.' Sting returned to the stage at the end of January to perform in LA's star-studded FireAid benefit concert, after postponing shows in Phoenix, Arizona, and Wheatland, California. On January 22, the star took to social media to thanks his fans for their well-wishes, saying that he'd been recovering from a throat infection. He said: 'Thanks so much for all of the well wishes. I am steadily improving from a temporary throat infection which has prevented me from singing, though I'm looking forward to resuming my performances and rescheduled shows soon. Love, Sting.' Sting and Trudie are parents to four children, Mickey, 40, Jake, 39, Eliot, 33, and Giacomo, 28, while The Police frontman also shares son Joe, 47, and daughter Fuschia, 42, with ex Frances Tomelty. A spokesperson for Sting had confirmed in a social media post that he was unable to attend the Bass Magazine Awards, and his two US concerts were being postponed. Sting - whose real name is Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner - sent his apologies to those due to attend the concert and thanked them for being understanding in the unexpected circumstances. A post on his Instagram page, read: 'On advisement from his doctor, due to illness, it is with sincere regret that Sting must cancel his appearance at the Bass Magazine Awards this Thursday... 'And postpone his STING 3.0 concerts in Phoenix, AZ (originally scheduled for January 24) to June 1 and Wheatland, CA (originally scheduled for January 26) to May 28 as well as his performance at the Cherrytree Music Company's 20th anniversary, now taking place May 29. 'Fans should retain their tickets for the postponed shows, as they will be honoured on the new dates. 'Sting sincerely apologises for any inconvenience and extends his gratitude to the fans for their understanding.' Despite the news that he has been forced to pull out of several appearances due to illness, Sting has always prided himself on his health and fitness. The star has previously credited his amazing shape to his macrobiotic diet, which consists of a lot of vegetables and grains, and aims to avoid toxins and processed food that contain preservatives. The diet also centres around low consumption of meat, dairy and sugar. Sting and his wife Trudie Styler moved their family to the Lake House Farm in Wiltshire in 1991, and adopted a self-sufficient diet, growing organic veggies ever since. The singer's family own a flock of free range chickens, as well as their own trout lake and even bee hives for honey. In her 1999 book, The Lake House Cookbook, Trudie wrote: 'I decided that I would only be satisfied if I knew exactly what we were putting on our plates.' She also revealed that the couple enjoy a conscious approach to eating, and believe that the way 'we treat our own bodies is by extension the way we treat the planet.' So devoted is the singer to his diet that he reportedly keeps his own personal chef on tour with him in order to keep it up while he is away from home. This dedication to a healthy diet does not prevent the Message in a Bottle singer from indulging in a tipple or two and the occasional ice cream. In 2003, he told The Guardian: 'I drink alcohol. I don't smoke anything legal. I drink coffee. I like chocolate and ice cream. But apart from that I'm really healthy.' He is also well known for his love of yoga, which he has been doing for more than three decades. He admitted in an interview with his yoga instructor when he was 43 that he came to yoga late in life, aged 38-39. According to a transcript of the interview shared on White's White Lotus retreat website, the singer revealed he tried other fitness regimes before trying yoga. 'I have been through various fitness regimes before, you know. I used to run about five miles a day and I did aerobics for a while. 'I always stayed fit because I'm a performer and all of those things help me to perform. 'But it wasn't until I met Danny Paradise, who became my mentor in Yoga, that I started the practice which I feel I will stay with for the rest of my life,' he added. When he hit 60, he told Energy Times: 'I perform on stage in much the same way I did when I was in my 20s or teens, and I'm doing it just as efficiently. 'Two decades of yoga has given me two extra decades of this career. I wouldn't be able to do it if I was out of shape,' he added. The singer is s dedicated to the practice and he is known to do his yoga even when away on tour. In 2021, while on Lorraine Kelly's ITV show, he joked his good looks were due to 'vanity, and a little bit of discipline,' before adding, 'I studied yoga for 30 years. But everything becomes yoga after a while.' On top of yoga, the singer also revealed he 'swims every day, I like to walk, and I sing.' The same year, he shared the secret to his washboard midriff in a TikTok video where he demonstrated his 'perpetual crunch.' The Message In A Bottle hitmaker, 70, lay on his back tensing and stating 'Getting my tummy nice and hard' as he showed off his incredible fitness. He urged his fans to take up the Sting perpetual crunch challenge, writing: 'You can do it.' Sting and his wife Trudie have been together since 1982, and the couple share the same penchant for healthy living.
