Nearly 133,000 Ford SUVs recalled over possible detaching parts: See impacted models
Ford is recalling nearly 133,000 SUVs because some parts, including rear door window bars, may disconnect due to not enough adhesive, the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration announced.
The Dearborn, Michigan-based automaker reported the rear door window bars and C-pillar trim may have insufficient adhesive bonding, which can allow the trim to detach from the SUV, the NHTSA reported on June 17.
Detaching parts may pose a hazard to other road users and increase the risk of crashes, according to the NHTSA report.
The recall affects 2020-2025 Lincoln Aviators. About 132,900 vehicles are impacted.

Dealers will repair or replace C-pillar appliques and window division bars, free of charge, the NHTSA recall notice said. A second letter will be sent once the remedy is available, according to the notice.
Notification letters are expected to be mailed to owners by July 28.

Lotus remains committed to the UK, and its customers, employees, dealers, suppliers, as well as its proud British heritage.' 'The vehicle presents itself as modern, yet it experiences multiple electrical breakdowns while its driving comfort remains poor,' he said. 'It will experience powertrain lights and shifting issues and connectivity problems that will require frequent visits to the shop.' This luxury compact SUV's sleek design looks attractive in many ways. However, the Range Rover Evoque will let you visit the repair shop regularly. 'It looks stylish yet lacks reliability. We have observed engine oil leaks together with transmission problems and total electrical shutdowns, which occur frequently below 80,000 miles,' Gelfand said. While the Chevrolet Spark is an affordable car, it's not worth the price. 'The vehicle demonstrates low construction quality together with high noise levels and weak engine performance,' Gelfand said. Rather than settling for this vehicle, Gelfand recommended a used Honda or Toyota since these models cost less and offer better durability.
